Not the bitter chocolate notes of coffee. The many people are there to help but its a little chaotic ordering. I also think it would be helpful if they added signs or names for the individual cake slices, so customers know what they're choosing without having to ask. I was just about to leave to pick it up at 1:15pm, when I got a call from the bakery saying "we don't know what your ordered, but you need to cancel the payment because we don't use our website. We only take orders over the phone or in person." What???? If you don't use it, why is it active? Turn it the eff off. It's very simple to do- I know bc I have used several Squarespace websites. This should be the end of my rant- but wait! It gets so much better! I proceeded to give them my order over the phone.... They told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I should have asked myself how they would bake a cake in 30 minutes- but, I'm a glutton for punishment.... And instead drove 30 minutes from my house to go get the desired rum cake. When I got there to pick it up- it was a 9" two layer cake with frosting. That is not a rum cake, nor is it what is pictured on their website! When I said, that isn't what I ordered- the response was "well, this is our rum cake". I left without the cake. And, now I have to contact my credit card company to dispute a charge that they claim they won't receive. Also- in case you're looking for quality, freshly made cakes..... they have 5 gallon buckets in their cooler at the front with long stem roses in them..... the buckets have labels on them that say "Sam's vanilla whipped icing". What a joke!
