I went to them to get my hair and makeup done for my bridal shower. The person who did my makeup is a male by the name of Nikki ( sorry if I spell your name wrong) lol. He is phenomenal when it comes to makeup. All of the places I get my makeup done he is on point. I am disappointment for not finding this place earlier. The owner/lady did my hair and kept it natural for the occasion. I almost teared up because I felt like I was getting everything done for a wedding. I recommend to make an appointment. I'm very very happy to be a client / customer of this business. The staff is very professional and they really know how to treat people. I come here every week and I've been doing so for the past 7 months now. Again .. I come "every week" for my regular haircut! I am very picky with my barbers and when I stick to certain location I don't really change it unless I get treated bad or I don't feel appreciated. Today for the first time I brought my mother and she couldn't be any happier with her nails and eye brows.. Definitely a place to come and get your things done.. price is very reasonable and they are extremely friendly and funny! Btw . I have been a regular here for around 4 years now and have tried various services-waxing, hair color - single process, double process, facials, threading and have never been disappointed. The owner's name is Laila and she has a great team of professionals who are always smiling and do a wonderful job. Shilpa, Sneha, Ashu, Neelu are all great at what they do. What I especially like is that they don't try to push a particular product and give you good advice about what could work for your skin or hair. Yuck. These gals can do eyebrows but that is about it. I went here to get my makeup done for a party. The makeup "artist" is the owner's son who was an absolute nightmare. His hands smelled bad and he clearly hadn't washed them before putting them on my face. The make-up looked terrible in the end. Even the eyeliner was asymmetrical. He didn't even blend the make-up well and it looked like I had a white mask on that was totally off from my skin color. He could not focus at all. He was poking my eye ball with his brush when blending the make up around my eyes. Aren't you supposed to use a sponge?!!! Absolute disaster. Then came the most ridiculous part. I had also asked these ladies to help me with my party outfit which had a rather heavy dupatta. These fools could not drape the dupatta AT ALL for like 20 minutes. Fortunately, a CUSTOMER then volunteered to help and did it in 5 seconds. The owner charged me for the makeup AND the "dressing". GIve me a break. I was so horrified I just paid and left ASAP. There was no point in arguing and wasting more time. I could have done a better job by myself with the make-up and the outfit..blindfolded. What a complete waste of time and money. This salon is filled with a bunch of jokers. Take your money and spend it elsewhere. I am so happy can vent about this nightmare I experienced on Yelp. I have been coming here for many years for waxing and threading (eyebrows, arms etc.). No other place does such a great job as Laila's. The shape of my eyebrows is always perfect, and Laila always makes room for me even if she is busy!! All of the employees of the salon are very sweet and friendly. They are all well-trained, professional, and know how to work with any kind of skin (especially desi skin). The customer service is overall amazing. Highly recommended!!! The owner is very rude n loud!!!!. She makes her assistants do the services. One (anitha) is decent does well other (don't know her name) is terrible. She doesn't know wot she is doing. She gave the worse ever massage. Went two times in. First time went for a facial posted 35$ and ended up 60$+tip which don't what she did. They say polish and charge you and there was no difference Second time went with a friend for a different facial hoping some difference and picked a facial( posted price 75$) ended up paying 245$. gave a terrible massage. I asked wot did you charge all this for. She said well I did this this services. what else do you say when they don't ask u and tell you before hand? We booked makeup services 2 days later and paid 45$ in advance. We couldn't make to the appointment. I called in 2 days later to let her know as v got busy cudnt make to appointment. Before I could talk she started shouting. worried where I wud ask her my money. Terrible money minded people. I been to different spas n places event hough care about money they are nice to your face and say its a policy. But I didn't even ask for my money and she shouts like I am going to take off their money. She says I waited for 2 hrs for you guys. This place is not a busy place and she acts like she cancelled appointments bcoz of us. I told her u can keep the money I don't really mind but the lady starts shouting. Parking is a pain in neck..inside place is clean and has a good ambience compared to other on oak tree. Most of the people that came were for eyebrow threading. Took me after a wait of 45 mins. I have wavy medium length hair and asked her if she could suggest a cut besides the regular straight or u cut. She gave the same answer " nope..wavy hair ..no other haircut" .. i went their after reading all the great reviews.not very different from all the oak tree ones read more

I live in NYC, but when I need to get a haircut, massage, wax, threading, or any sort of beauty treatment- I literally take a train all the way back to New Jersey just to come to Laila's Beauty Salon. I do not go anywhere in NYC because Laila's is simply the best! I cannot emphasize that enough. All of the women that work here are extremely kind, professional, and patient with all of their customers. There are plenty of stressed, rude, and unhygienic women that come into the salon, and walk out looking gorgeous because the staff here knows what they're doing. It's a welcoming environment. It's not too pricey, and the quality of all of their treatments are beyond 5 stars. Me and all of my friends have been coming here for almost 6 years straight because the salon is so incredible and Laila and her team really get to know you and what treatments you like. Charged me almost double for my highlights and gave the front look so bad. Everything cannot always be sugar Coated. Firstly she did my coverage without asking me if I wanted to do it or not, her assistant comes and takes me to get the a hair wash n when I notice n ask her that time she tells that is doing a coverage for my hair and charged me for that,and after the coverage she gives me the price estimate I was annoyed that very moment only but I just wanted to get highlights and a hair cut but kept calm. From morning 11 30 till evening 6 pm she was doing my highlights and I specially told her not to decrease the length of my hair and just give me a front look and literally made my hair so short that it's not at all acceptable and today after almost 2 months while I'm posting I notice my highlights they literally look an year old they are so faded.
