    Trophy sized bluegill!
    Keen O.

I enjoyed my trip here. Great fishing. Kids caught a ton of blue gill. They stock lightning and rainbow trout. Nice place and campsites look like they're nicely located.

A little hard to access the water from anywhere else but the boat ramp, but it looks amazing. Can't wait to actually camp here.

Expensive to fish here $7 to park, $7 to fish and $7 to launch. $21 for a skunk day and rude customer service by old man up front

It's tucked away from the busier areas, surrounded by oak trees that provide plenty of shade, and there's almost always a nice breeze, which makes a huge difference on hot California afternoons. If you're looking for a quiet campsite to relax rather than a crowded area, this is a great choice. One of our favorite parts was the wildlife. We saw deer walking near the campsite every day. They were beautiful to watch... although they helped themselves to our peaches overnight! Fair enough--they seemed to enjoy them. There's also an easy path down to the water if you want to spend time by the lake, but for us the biggest attraction was simply the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and the chance to disconnect for a couple of days. We'll definitely be coming back.

I liked our area, we were in the 50's. The frustrating part was they just knocked down a building so they were working just above our area on the Friday I arrived. It was extremely noisy and the machines blew dirt on our campsite. I was really annoyed, but when they stopped it was peaceful. My biggest complaint was the bathroom by our site. The toilets kept clogging up. I discovered a way to hold the lever down until it fully flushed, but a lot of people didn't in that area so it was constantly clogged. But, one of their staff came frequently to clean, fix the issue, and replenish the toilet paper. She told me that this particular bathroom was the worst on the property, and that the others were better. The showers however were remarkably clean, clearly very well tended, had hot water too. The grounds were beautiful and the lake was just gorgeous. I loved seeing the old school playground near our site. Between the noise on my first day and the constantly clogging bathroom I almost gave this location three stars. But, literally everything else was fabulous so I decided on four. I would absolutely go camping here again, just in a different location.

I used to come here every year, but after this trip, we'll never be back. Don't try to sneak alcohol, they do check and they will walk around your campsite every 10 mins. The rangers constantly patrol campsites and frequently show up unannounced, making it hard to enjoy your stay. We were kicked out of our campsite because they found a beer on our table. (Yes, we were aware no alcohol, but cmon we're camping)! Then we were told to be out by 8:00 AM the next morning. We were already packed up and actively loading our vehicle when a ranger approached us at 8:01 AM and immediately accused us of trespassing. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he told us to "hurry up and pack your stuff, and get the fuck out" and stop "lollygagging." We were literally in the process of leaving. These american rangers were on a power trip, super entitled, thinking they're above the law and talking to us like we were animals, if not worse. So in other words, they must really love their jobs, or they're unhappy with their lives. The entire experience felt unnecessarily hostile and aggressive. Being nice will go a long way. We were super nice and respectful and didn't argue back. Wish we got the same energy back. There are plenty of other campgrounds where visitors are treated with respect.

Of course the first slot machine we went to hit and we started up $300, which we essentially gave back as we were chasing the big win. A guy next us said 'It only takes one spin to win' and we took that a little too literally lol. We played a variety of the machines, but the most luck we had was with the Top Dollar Machines, the others weren't lucky this time around. While we only left up $30, we spent 3 hours of fun just playing away. Something I haven't seen at any other casino was a free soda and non-alcoholic drink areas! It's Pepsi products though, so not the best, but at least it's free. I saw people ordering smoothies, which looked really good but we never stayed at a slot machine long enough to get one. We came on a Thursday, and it was bummer that there was only (1) blackjack table going with a $5 minimum. I walked by multiple times and there was never an open seat. Plenty of seats of pai gow or poker though. Maybe it was just the time of day, but definitely would love to try my hand at blackjack next time around.

I am seriously shocked at how good the food was and the overall experience. My girlfriend kept saying how the inside reminded her of how the titanic looked on the inside and I can definitely see that. The food was amazing. The menu had a bunch of great options to choose from but we went for the sirloin steak & shrimp scampi for entrees. Before the main course we ordered a plate of boneless wings (1/2 lemon pepper 1/2 buffalo). I can't tell but I think this were cut up and trimmed in house because I've never had boneless wings like this. They usually resemble chicken nuggets but these had a different shape to them. They were golden brown and fried to perfection with an amazing crunch! The flavors were just right and made the whole plate delicious. Like seriously I would go back just for the boneless wings. If you come here come HUNGRY because the portions are huge. My steak came with a choice of about 5 sides to choose from AND either soup or salad AND garlic bread. I went for the minestrone soup and I was very pleased. It was almost closer to a chili than minestrone but I enjoyed every single drop. It had a little kick of spicy that I loved! My steak was cooked to perfection and was a huge cut. Served with a big side of rice pilaf & veggies made it the perfect dinner for me. My girlfriend loved her shrimp scampi especially with the risotto and she ate them together as one. She liked how cheesy and creamy the risotto was. We also each got a desert to take home (we haven't tried them yet but they are huge). The prices of everything are really amazing as well! We had so much food and the total was around $75. Overall if you're in the area at all you should definitely stop in and eat here. You will not be disappointed!! I can't wait to go back!!

Our suite (one of five) was absolutely stunning. The Innkeeper (the first of three amazing Innkeepers) had the gas fireplace lit, and wonderful instrumental music playing, as she showed us our suite. The food was phenomenal: gourmet breakfasts, 5:00 wine and cheese, and homemade cookies in the evening. My favorite part was the patio with a fire pit overlooking the vineyard.
