If you're a Chicago resident, you can wait until some ungodly hour and drive over the boarder into Indiana; or fill up out in the suburbs if you work out that way. There are better gas stations in Skokie, but BP is conveniently situated right off of I94. Everywhere else I know of is kind of a traffic challenge to get there. If you don't have the time, BP does in a pinch. It would seem that the tiny garage at this BP is set up to do minor repairs to your vehicle, and perhaps oil changes. I have used BP for their air pump, and they will lend you a pressure gauge if you need one. One time my ex-boyfriend's Mustang broke down and they allowed him to leave his car in that garage while he sorted out towing arrangements. I think he might have actually fixed his own car and went to get parts for it. Bottom line, the attendants here are always courteous.

This Mobil also offers a car wash station which is touch-less and purchase of any of three wash styles ($5 - $7) will garner you a discount on the price of gas. For example the other day a gallon of unleaded fuel cost $4.22 and with a car wash purchase the gas price was reduced to $4.02. For a touch-less wash it is decent even at the $5 dollar price. After two days and a couple downpours my wash is still streak free and looking smart. If you shop at Dominick's for your grocery needs you may have heard they have recently partnered with Mobil to offer discounts on gas because of credits earned buying groceries. An example of the fuel discount would be to receive ten cents off per gallon on your next gas purchase. Something which is not noted (or explained properly) by staff or on marketing at the gas station is that once you decide to use your credits off gas (Dominick's card) this price reduction cannot be used in conjunction with the car wash special. It's one or the other. (Makes sense in your head, two offers cannot be used together but when swiping your Dominick's loyalty card and then making gas payments at the pump it's easy to not realize this since the antiquated system at the pump gives minimum details. )

I confirmed with Costco that each location can charge whatever they want and there is no uniform Costco gas price, pre tax that is, as we know tax is highly variable by county. It is because you can always count on fresh foods to be stocked inside of the warmers, plus cold foods stocked in the freezer which is something that all 7-Eleven locations should be consistent with.
