His receptionist wasn't there when I paid and she said she doesn't have a record of how I paid 178 dollars. I was showing them my bank account and still the owner said that I didn't pay. After 15 minutes of talking he "remembered". Okay no big deal I wanted my car fixed so I said I can leave so they can install the part, which the owner gave me the price for labor and I accepted. A day later the owner said that he had to charge me for the "paint job" without consulting with me first. I needed up paying 220 more! Dishonest and definitely not transparent.

Me: Uhh, what time do you have available? Employee: (without hesitation) 8am Me: (pauses for like 30 seconds) Ummm, I guess that's cool. Employee: Early, right? Me: Yeeeaaaah, but I need my a/c fixed! It's hot! Employee: No clubbing, alright? Hilarious! It's like this man knew me and my late night Friday habits. Needless to say, I ended up busting up in there at 8am on Saturday, still slightly groggy from the night before. Everyone there was super friendly and amusing. (Case in point, I think one of the owners was given the above mentioned employee crap for watching cartoons.) I really appreciated that the man working on my car (who I swear was the owner) showed me what was wrong with my wheels, my rotors, when I should expect to replace them, etc. Seeing is believing! It turned out that I needed a new a/c compressor (meaning the recharge alone would save my car). They quoted me around $400 and I just had them change it on the spot. Even though the part took a little longer to get to the shop than expected, I didn't mind that much 'cuz they were very apologetic, professional and nice! I'd be happy to come back here and get a quote on future services! Major props: When asked if I wanted anything to drink, the employee dude actually went out to buy a bottle of water! I said "my bad". He let his window down with the rudest tone and said "atleast pull your car up if u need service. What are u getting" I said "an oil change". He said "well atleast pull up you in my way" I said "why are u so angry this morning if you hate your job the quit " He said "because u pulled in while I was plowing and went over my snow pile" (or something like that) I said "my bad but u don't have to be so upset about it I just wanted to pull in so I'll be closer to the garage doors". He yells out "go somewhr else I'm not doing your oil change IM THE OWNER" I politely said "ok" then rode directly over the snow pile on purpose. in my opinion being the owner he handled this situation all wrong. Had my front brakes recently done at Supermax. Today I had…read morea flat tire and went to put on the spare only to find out that Supermax had not replaced the key for my locking lug nuts so I couldn't remove my front tire. Called Supermax and the guy there said that they had a "shelf" of lug nut keys (apparently this happens often) and they wouldn't be able to find which was mine. Now I need to have Volvo Roadside Assistance TOW my car to Volvo Oak Park to get the wheel off and replace the tire. Such a disappointment from an auto service place I'd previously recommended.

Tom is a good, honest, hard-working man and is very interested in providing good service for his customers. He often bends flexibly - in the favor of the customer - when it comes to how many hours of labor to charge if he ends up having to spend a lot of time on one single project. He is the absolute polar opposite of nickle-and-diming someone... if that were a verb, or a polar end. We moved to Humboldt Park away from this area of the city a little over a year ago, but we still bring our van to him and take CTA to go pick it up later, because we trust him and his work.

This place is a scam. I have 3 stories as proof…read more 1. Took my car in for coolant leak. They checked it and said radiator leak. Price was stupid so I went elsewhere. I didn't realize when they checked the antifreeze reservoir they took off the hose needed to suck up antifreeze and didn't put it back. I felt they were intentionally trying to break my car down. 2. Took my car to replace brake pad and rotors. I took my own parts. When I got my parts back I noticed they didn't put the sensors which is standard. They acted dumb about it and fixed it. 3. Took my car for an oil change. They noticed the screw in the oil pan wasn't original. I told them don't worry I've had oil changes for 5 years and never had any problems. After the oil change my car is leaking more oil than usual. 4. My car had warranty for the repairs. However they charge differently when warranty is used. They said it would be cheaper for me to pay out of pocket instead of using the warranty. The other shop I went to charged me the same price with or without warranty. Shady af. My fault for going back just bc it's conveniently located down the block. But after all this bullshit I will never go back. Short dude at the front desk is rude af as well. Go elsewhere, this place is shady af.

They kept my car for 3 days. When I picked it up, the sensonr lights for ABS and steering were on, there was a squeeky noise from the tire and the car was not drivable. The mechanic rushed me out saying just bring it back tomorrow. Which I did only to collect my money from the shity job they did. I took it to a different mechanic the diagnost is that the sensors were broken, the knuckle was missing and the CV Axel was dislocated. I had to spend more money in parts that were not broken and time. Of course Milton has not answered the phone ever since or my messages. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE! SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY.
