I was meeting an old friend in the area and all I knew was that it seemed affordable, rustic, and a down-to-earth type of place. Just what I was looking for... a little getaway for some R&R on the lake! Pretty tired from the trip and as I started bringing in luggage I realize that the place was much larger than I had anticipated . ( I had spruce cottage 2 bd 2 bath& 2 screened in porches) It was very, very clean. And as I was starting to put some of my things away, I realize that all the bedding was new ... new towels. new ... cozy throw blankets all looked new. I always appreciate that kind of touch because once again I'm up here to relax so having a comfy bed with new linens, comfy throw blankets and comfy towels is a plus The lake is beautiful & there are kayaks and other water toys available at no extra charge. That's a plus . A lot of places will charge extra for those type of things but not here. There's also fishing poles if you're so inclined. My favorite was probably the deck that's right on the lake. The morning light is beautiful and in the morning the lake looks like glass. It's so serene . There's a grill that you can use so a couple times we had barbecues. There's also a fire pit. Amy is the woman who manages Glenmoore . She's a class act! She's so incredibly helpful & friendly! Anything I needed was tended to immediately with a smile on her face! She makes the place feel like home! I think Glenmoore has been around for possibly 100 years!! Wow ! I was in the main lodge & I was poking around looking at games etc and found brochures from a long time ago. It was so interesting to see this place that is so rich in history. Last but not least in the main lodge in the morning, Amy had made homemade banana bread. It was perfect with my morning coffee. After writing this wonderful review, I'm afraid that the next time I plan to go up there won't be any cabins available ! This is a win-win

Alicia and Kerrie have created a place that is based on extreme hospitality and such individually crafted care for each guest. We were able to cook a few meals in complete kitchens in our cabin, alongside Kerries famous bagels he served throughout our weeks stay. Fresh fruit and coffee were also provided every morning and coffee both hot and iced was available all day long. Lakeside we sat, swam, fished, boated and just relaxed. There's so many reason to support this wonderful couple and their business, but hospitality, would be the biggest reason I will site! We will be back and hope you will consider this amazing resort!! If that doesn't speak to how much we love it here, I'm not sure what will. This is truly a hidden gem. Not only does it boast some of the most fantastic views, the accomodations are great, the amenities are awesome, and most importantly the hospitality is phenomenal. There are kayaks, row boats and paddle boards free to use. They have an in house marina where they rent out boats and jet skis at a cost. The beach area is BEAUTIFUL with a small sandy area for the kids. They have a gorgeous salt water pool at the top of the property. They have a small cafe off the office that makes THE best smoothies and coffee. Theres a cute little playground for kiddos. The property is always so clean and well kept. You honestly don't even need to leave the property to have fun. It's an all in one fun zone. There are some dated aspects you can see around the place, but what's fantastic is that every year we come back and new improvements and upgrades have been made. I love that this place is eternally in a state of growth and improvement, and you can really tell this is a labor of love for the Chiroboga family. You would be hard pressed to find a group of people more dedicated to the happiness of their clientele, more hospitable, more kind, more hardworking, sweeter and more passionate than the owners. My favorite perk is you CAN NOT beat the overwhelming sense of peace that shrouds this place. We have been making memories at the Villas for 4 years and we intend to continue doing so for years to come. We LOVE the Villas, it means so much to our little family.

I've noticed many people who book here will keep booking the same time every year, just like our family. The family that runs this place is SO welcoming, kind, and easy to talk to. I haven't been to BLR in years but Michele always asked my family about me and finally seeing her this year was like no time has passed. It's comforting to know such a wonderful place is ran by wonderful people! Our cabin (#3) has the perfect view of the lake, my parents say they pay for that view if nothing else. Its even a beautiful sight on a cloudy/rainy day! Cabins are pretty clean and updated, nothing bad to say about it. Full kitchen. Heat/AC available. Wifi worked great. Super cozy. My bed was so comfortable, I slept great every night. Somehow, this place feels like home and paradise at the same time. Lots of recreation available: swimming area, playground, fire-pit, docks, canoes, boat launch, grills, etc. It's also about a 10 minute drive from the village! Blue Lagoon is easy to fall in love with, definitely stay here next time you visit Lake George!

I like it because you don't have to walk up or down a great big hill to get to the water. At night they have a nice bonfire to sit around and they provide all the wood for you. In that time period, there have been many ebbs and flows to the quality of the experience. Right now appears to be a significant downturn. When the new ownership group took over a few years ago, we were hopeful. Rooms were refreshed a bit, new bedding and towels were purchased. Since then, it's been a steady but slow decline. We always stay in the same rooms, and the shower in room 29 has been leaking in the same spot for the past 3 years now. The deck to room 30 is rotting away and was absolutely filthy when we arrived. The sheets on two of the three beds in room 30 were stained. The entire building ran out of propane our first night there, so there was no gas for the stoves or any hot water our first day and a half. The grill on our deck was absolutely filthy and had old food lodged under the grill plates. The stove's burner was partially disassembled and had soot all over the place. These are oversights that never would have occurred when Eric was running the show. While all of these oversights throughout the property have happened, the costs has grown exorbitantly under the new ownership group. It's a terribly sad thing to see. The location is still fantastic, and the front-facing staff there are still wonderful, but it seems like the absent ownership is taking the profits from this property and putting them into their other properties in the Lake George property. We'll probably give The Juliana one more chance purely for nostalgia's sake, but if we don't see significant improvement next year, it will sadly be time to move on. There are far too many properties up and down the lake to accept what The Juliana is providing for the price point they are charging.

He will try to use his language as a barrier and argue with you. Only after telling him I've been in maintenance for 10 years did he acknowledge it was in fact BED BUGS. We left immediately, he did give us a refund but still made us pay $20 credit card fee??? Absurd. New owners have let this place go down hill fast which is a shame because we have been bringing our child here for years.

Great selection of channels and room space was adequate. There was also a mini fridge included in the cost. You do have access to a balcony, however it is shared with the other rooms but that didn't bother us. Overall the hotel is clean, well furnished and in close proximity to downtown Lake George.

Well our room was made up but next morning noted no cups or coffee... my husband has an emergency kit with coffee packs so we managed with our own stuff, luckily saving one cup from day before. So then I left note for housekeeping with same request for next am but she never came to room at all. The…read morelocation was perfect - it is right across the street from a great deli to get breakfast/lunch/dinner/coffee/drinks -anything you could need while being away which was extremely convenient for us during our stay. The trolley picks up/drops off right across the street or a 1 minute walk away to bring you into the town which is only a few minutes away. The 2 bedroom cabin we stayed in was spacious & the porch/picnic table out front was perfect. Cabin was nice & clean. Pet friendly & the owner even brought us over a little gate to use while we sat outside with our dog on the porch. Our cabin was right across from the pool which was VERY clean & refreshing my kids loved that pool. The best part about this place was the family who owns/runs it- they work so hard & were so helpful & friendly. During our stay the AC started not working as well (it was super hot muggy July) the owner came immediately to our cabin & REPLACED the AC unit to a brand new unit - it was nice & cold after that. I couldn't believe the service - you can tell they truly care about their guests. Up the hill they had a swing set, basketball court, volleyball net- fire pit, grills, a zip line. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around & play. My daughter rode her scooter around at the top of the hill and other kids had bikes. We stayed Monday-Thursday in the middle of July & it was very peaceful & quiet while still giving that fun family friendly vibe. You can tell this is the type of place that once you stay here it will become "your place" year after year & we will definitely stay here again !! I wish I took more pictures of the place but I'm not usually a reviewer so didn't think about it but this place deserves the shout out !
