100/100 - This will be my go-to spot every time I'm in Las Vegas. We were in Las Vegas over the Fourth of July weekend, and my aunt insisted we stop by Village Pub & Café at Ellis Island. She makes the drive all the way from Hesperia just for their prime rib, so I figured it had to be worth trying. I wasn't in the mood for prime rib--I was craving barbecue. It's the Fourth of July, after all! I ordered the ribs, and they absolutely delivered. I'm typically not a barbecue sauce person, but whatever sauce they use is perfection. The ribs were tender, flavorful, and easily some of the best I've had. They came with baked beans, coleslaw, and corn. I'll be honest--the sides were just okay, but the ribs completely stole the show. My husband ordered the half chicken and half ribs, and that chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful. My aunt loved her salmon, and of course she's still convinced their prime rib is the best around. Even my toddler was happy with her bacon and fries, which made dinner that much easier. As an added bonus, we happened to visit on Friday when they were serving clam chowder, and it was absolutely delicious. The food was so good that we came back the very next day--and yes, I ordered the exact same ribs again. If you're visiting Las Vegas, don't overlook Ellis Island just because it's off the Strip. Sometimes getting away from the crowds is exactly what you need, especially when you're traveling with family. Great food, generous portions, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere made this one of the highlights of our trip. We'll definitely be back every time we're in Vegas. read more

Maybe we went for the wrong special- but the players card 9.99 steak special was simply just bad. The sides definitely carried the meal. The steak itself - I had to stab the meat chunk to hold it down just to cut a little piece off so I could eat it. I finally gave up it was SO tough. The fries and green beans were good though. The service was the best part of the visit because our server explained to us how the promotion worked and was super kind. Figured I update my review for Village Pub and Cafe since I come here more often for the breakfast menu. Lately, I've been ordering Steak and Eggs. The service is a hit or miss for me. Sometimes it's very good and sometimes it's just meh... Surprisingly, the steak was tender and good flavor. It was cooked to my liking "medium" and my eggs were perfect. I was not a fan of the potatoes but that's just me. Make sure to swipe your players card for discounts. Great spot in Ellis Island Casino and I love the renovations they've done. read more

My server was very nice and brought many refills of water but it wasn't that consistent outside of water. My burger wasn't great - I got cheese and bacon with it. We heard about this place in the fabulous affordable ribs. They did not disappoint. The ribs were delicious as well as the sides of corn, beans, and coleslaw. Excellent price for only &22.99 off the strip you can't beat it. It was good the only issue was the waiter not wanting to split the chat between three people. No one wants to put hundred plus dollars on their card nowadays. I wish more of these restaurants would be similar to Yard House who has a machine at their table that allows you to split your check conveniently. So Service has been pretty good in the past, but they've opened the new area, and I was excited to try out the new digs! Got seated almost immediately, which is a good thing. But then I wait and I wait and I wait and I wait and I wait 10 minutes. Not a single employee greeted me after I sat down. No one offered to bring me water or take a drink order or ask me if I was ready to order... tables all around me were getting served and cleaned but not me. I even had a couple of employees look at me like oh nobody's taking care of you yet? So after 10 minutes, I got up and walked out. I swung by the players club to let them know that somebody who spent several hundred dollars today alone is not happy with the service I got. All I got was "oh that's too bad. This small restaurant is conveniently located in the back of the Ellis island casino and is connected to a bar and adjacent restaurant ( The Front yard). The initial customer service experience wasn't the best as they couldn't accommodate a party of 8. Additionally as we waited for a table they gave another couple our table after were waiting for 15 minutes. The staff apologized and quickly cleared another area for us. This wasn't a first great first impression. Once seated we were served promptly with water and were able to get our order done. I personally enjoyed my meal, however , half of the party did not and complained that even something as basic as pasta was not that good. This is for sure a place to try, but don't have high expectations just in case you get disappointed. read more

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but the service left such a sour taste that I'm honestly hesitant to come back. I've been coming here for years - it's easily one of the cheapest spots for a steak and eggs breakfast. I recently found out they even have a graveyard special from 11 PM to 6 AM where steak and eggs are only $9, which is an amazing deal. Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience. After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes just to flag down a waiter to take our order. Then things got worse--two parties who were seated after us (a party of 2 and 5) were served their food, finished eating, and even paid their bills before we got anything. After waiting over 30 minutes, I flagged down our waitress to ask about our order. Instead of checking on it, she argued that it hadn't been that long. I checked my messages and had sent pictures to my friends saying how cheap this place was and realized it had been closer to 40 minutes. When I pointed out that other parties who arrived after us had already finished, the transgender waitress insisted they came first--which simply wasn't true, as I had spoken with them while we were all waiting in line. And the frustrating part was she never went in the kitchen to look for our orders. I saw her continue giving other customers their to go containers and bills!! At that point, the interaction became frustrating and uncomfortable. I didn't want to escalate things or risk any issues with our food being spat on, so we waited. In total, it took over an hour--and multiple attempts to flag down other staff--before our food finally arrived. To make matters worse, the couple who had finished earlier even came over to us to say they were shocked by how we were treated and said they would complain as well. That validated our experience. The food itself is still a great value--we ordered three plates, had leftovers, and the total came out to under $24. No complaints there. But good pricing alone isn't enough to make up for such poor service. I don't believe the customer is always right, but basic courtesy and professionalism go a long way. A simple apology and effort to check on our order would have completely changed this experience. This is the first time I've ever seriously considered leaving a restaurant after ordering, just because the service was so bad. read more

While it looks like some dated diner inside of a dated casino (#1), often the only reason anyone is ever at Ellis Island is because of Village Pub and Cafe. The restaurant has achieved cult status amongst the locals and tourists who are typically here for one thing: an opportunity to eat one of the city's best prime rib. It has become such a tradition during my Vegas visits that I will make it a point to add this to the itinerary practically every time. I recommend nothing less than their king cut prime rib. It comes with a choice of soup du jour / house salad, along with a baked potato and garlic green beans. Typically, I ask for some kind of substitution with mashed potatoes, fries, and if I can finagle it, creamed spinach. Medium rare with a little horseradish has resulted in a cut that is succulent, juicy, and full of flavor. The price has steadily rose to $37.92, which is a steep climb from $19 just a handful of years ago. Big eaters should absolutely consider their double cut ($75.85), which is an incredible portion and one that I have struggled to finish. Even though I couldn't do it, I've loved every bite from beginning to the end. Their other signature item is the fish and chips ($18), which is not nearly as exciting as the prime rib, but is something certainly worth considering. Their all day breakfast includes ham and eggs ($16), bacon and eggs ($13), and one hell of a top sirloin and eggs ($23). I'm not a particularly big fan of their chicken parm ($20) or fettuccine alfredo ($14). Alternatives to the beef could be in the form of their chicken fried steak ($17), wild Alaskan salmon ($25), and chicken fried chicken ($17). Since it is open 24 hours, folks from all walks of life will eventually find their way here. I am willing to bet they had a hand in the revitalization of Ellis Island, since there is extensive construction and lots of changes happening on their menu. There is no prime rib after 11pm, but many locals love coming in for their (sirloin) steak specials, which are heavily discounted. The $14.99 steak and eggs has been a big hit in the wee hours of the night. The service has always been friendly and the food has obviously been high-quality. This place will always be on my hit list and I hope I will always be able to find time to enjoy the things they do best, at all hours of the day. ___________ (#1) Because it is. The Village Pub and Cafe is the quintessential casino diner. The coffee cones in tiny carafes, the servers are proud of their work, and the food has both quantity and quality at a diner price. The place has two dining rooms with minimal decor, screaming casino diner. Lots of TVs showing the Olympics. The Hangover Burger - a half-pound burger with bacon, fried egg, cheddar cheese, fried pickle, onion ring, topped with Bloody Mary mayo on a brioche bun - is big and tasty. The lettuce adds nothing, and the fried pickles really ought to be long slices instead of quartered. We thought there wasn't enough of the Bloody Mary mayo. For good reason, but I'm happy to report everything we had at this diner was not just a good deal but also quite tasty. I loved everything we had~! One big win with the Village Pub is they are open 24 hours! I'm sure that is very convenient for late night munchies or an early morning breakfast. My friend and I went for dinner and were sat immediately and had great service from the staff. Our server was ultra sweet and it was truly a diner feel with her calling us sweetheart & all that cutesey stuff. I loved it! The deal everyone comes for is the $9.99 Filet-Cut Top Sirloin Steak and we had to get that as one of our meals. Important to note, you have to play $5 on your Ellis Island Casino Passport Player Card in order to get the deal. Be sure you activate it at the kiosk before dining! It's true though, this has to be the best steak deal of all time. It's a good slab of beef and came with salad, green beans and a baked potato - sheesh! For my main dish, I had another highly touted dish the Chicken Fried Steak for $16.99. This also started with their Caesar Salad with a choice of dressing. It was a solid Caesar full of croutons and I really enjoyed starting my meal with this. The chicken fried steak was soooo delciious just as everyone says! The gravy that came with it...Oh Em Gee. Slathered that sauce over the pork cutlet and the mashed potatoes that came with it. It also had their super garlicy green beans which they say they are famous for, which I also loved. I came sober and couldn't/didnt order the steak special. I instead settled on the smokehouse burger ($17.99). It's a half-pound burger topped with bacon, cheddar, onion rings, and basted with bbq sauce. This was the most mid tasting burger I've tasted as of recent. The patty was overcooked and broke apart as I made my way through the burger. All the toppings were just kinda slapped on top of the burger. Yikes. The steakhouse fries were also not the biz. We did also order the fried shrimp special. This a really value - you get plenty of shrimp and they were shrimping. So you can go through some complicated process to get the steak discount. Though we did get a players card, played $5, there is yet another step to fulfill in order to get the discount. It's not worth the effort, I don't think. It was lunchtime and so I decided to drop in. I ordered a bowl of the soup de jour which was cream of chicken to start for $6 along with their signature fish and chips for $18 more. The soup arrived first and was full of content. Thick and rich tasting, it was satisfying to eat. With the supplied crackers you could easily make a light lunch of it alone. Shortly after, the entree arrived. 3 large cod fillets fried in a beer batter and sitting on top of a bed of fries. The fillets were generous in size and content of meat but were a little more greasy than I like. The fries underneath were very greasy. Due to the grease level I wouldn't order it again but would consider returning here for another meal. Table service was very good. read more

It's a NY steak with eggs and potatoes with a side of BUTTERED toast. Prices are at $14.99 now (as of Dec 2025) and goes until 11am. Otherwise it's $22.99. We came on a Tuesday at 10am the day before NYE and we were seated right away. Food came out super quick too. Obviously you can't expect steakhouse quality but it was still great value and delicious, especially for the price. When in Vegas, it's customary to have late night dinners or midnight breakfast specials. The best place to go for that is Village Pub and Cafe located at the Ellis Island Casino. We have been coming here for years. Not a fancy place in any means of the word. Back when we first learned about it, I would have considered it to be more of a dive. But recently they have undergone a facelift snd remodel of their casino floor, but they kept the pub and cafe with the specials as is. The only catch is you need to have a players card. So our special for the evening is their baseball cut sirloin dinner special which comes with choice of potato, vegetables and a side salad all for $14.99 less three dollars with the players card. Here, unfortunately it's not all about the quality, but the value of the meal. I give a four star rating because our server Jen, was amazing. So helpful, and very informative to the specials and their policies towards the specials. They also have their own micro brew here, so try the various flavors of in-house beer. Ellis Island is located on Koval, just south of Flamingo and the Sphere which is cool to watch the domed screen. read more

Great steak specials. We have been coming here for many years. The steak specials used to be very cheap, around $5 per person. It also used to come with a beer or drink. Now it's $15 but if you get their gaming card they'll give you $2 off and if you gamble there a minimum of $5 they'll give you $3 more off. So now it's $10 a person and still one of the cheapest steak meals anywhere in the city. My steak was a lot chewier than my girls. Hers was very tender. The salad, fries, and green beans are still delicious. I still enjoy coming here. read more

I stopped by for the first time in a while, and honestly, my impression was that the quality has gone down quite a bit. That said, when you can still get a 10oz top sirloin steak for just a little over $10 including tax, it's hard to complain too much, so I'd still give it two stars. Considering inflation and the current economy, it's obvious they've had to lower the quality of the cuts they use. Still, I honestly feel the meat used to be noticeably better before the pandemic. One thing I've always thought: ordering cheap steak medium or medium-rare is a mistake. These cuts tend to have a lot of connective tissue, so unless they cook it fairly well-done, it's just too tough and chewy to enjoy. I think top sirloin is actually one of the most difficult cuts to use for steak, because it's a cut that contains a lot of large and small connective tissue throughout the meat. With Wagyu, top sirloin can be incredibly tender, flavorful, and excellent as a steak. But the meat they're probably using here is Select grade or possibly even ungraded beef. Unless you have a very skilled butcher who really knows how to trim and break down the cut properly, I honestly don't think top sirloin of that quality works well as a steak. Do they still have that late-night / early-morning Egg and steak special? If I remember correctly, it even came with bread back then, and it was around the same price range. I'll probably try it next time. Overall, at this price point, it's something you can tolerate by telling yourself "you get what you pay for." But when a restaurant focuses on selling very cheap food, you can also feel the standards of the staff slipping, and there really isn't much in the way of service anymore. Of course, expecting high-quality food and excellent service at this price range is unrealistic, and the level of tipping generally reflects that as well. We were looking for an easy spot for the team to grab breakfast before heading home. We decided to go to Village Pub and Café inside Ellis Island, which is off the strip so they are less crowded. Entering the casino was really empty. It seems to attract an elderly crowd. The Village Pub and Café has a very diner-like menu for breakfast. The breakfast menu is available Mon-Fri from 11pm-11am and Sat-Sun from 11pm-2pm. Prices are significantly lower than what you'd find on the strip and it is less crowded. Service is quick and attentive. My coworkers had Ham Steak and Eggs ($15.99), Bacon and Eggs ($12.99), Biscuit and Gravy ($8.99), and they all got a side of 1 Pancake ($2.49/each). I'm fluffy enough without the pancake. I went with the Meat Lovers Skillet ($16.99). The food came out quickly and the portions were huge. I only ate maybe a third of my skillet and took the rest togo. It was a great meal before we all got on the road to go home. A nice spot if you want a no frills inexpensive breakfast with large portions. read more

I ate the cheap $10 steak here several years ago and left happy. This time around, the same steak cost $14, and I left hungry. First, this place is 1970s kitschy, sort of like a diner or even Waffle House. It was undergoing some renovation this time around, but it was still clean. The kitchen did its job, because the steak came out perfectly medium. But it was definitely utility grade, and I've learned my lesson. So why the three stars? We had lunch here and ordered the Lumberjack burger and the fish and chips. We also split one of their homemade root beers. The portions were extremely large and very very good. Especially the fish. Our server told us that they bring in whole fish and fillet them on site. They were piping hot and crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The burger was also huge. I'm staying down here in Vegas for a few days on work and I was watching a Youtuber vid on this Village Pub Cafe inside the Ellis Island Casino, and he was showing a burger deal available all the time for $5.99, you get a big juicy burger and fries. That's a deal with today's prices. So I had a little free time and decided to head over there. It's not too far from where I'm staying. I get there and park. It's a bit of a walk from parking but no biggie. I'm seated and I order the burger special, med rare please. No prob, it's $5.99! The server is very friendly. I think a lot of people are ordering this burger deal from looking around at the other tables. The burger arrives, and YES, it's a nice looking burger with a decent sized meat patty. Cooked as ordered! The fries were hot and crispy. They were the bigger steak cut kinda fries. I like that! My first bite I could tell this was actually a quality burger, nut just some cheap thing that was thrown together for the special $5.99 deal. This was a cheap lunch deal for sure. Finally stopped by this pub since I heard a lot of noise about their top sirloin special for $15 (which apparently is not on the menu). This is located in the casino part of Ellis Island. Free self parking so it is great for the locals. The casino is smokey but the pub is smoke free so that was nice. The waitstaff were all friendly, greeted everyone and seated folks straight away. The special is nice: Top sirloin (cook to order), comes with soup or salad, green beans as the veggies, bake potato (I had fries) and we both had the salad. It was a good deal but the steaks were just alright. I like mine a little more seasoned and tender. I found the steaks to be bland and a little tough. It may have been my cut cuz my wife's steak was more tender. To me it was ok, nothing exceptional. First time trying this village pub location inside ellis hotel. Price are higher than other location off strips but we went during their promo hours so we got 50% off all food. Line is very long due to lot of people comin in at 4 but thankfully the employees are very efficient so it moves fast n we got seated after only 10 mins. I got the breakfast steak n eggs which i think the steak is not as good as their other location, so is the sourdough bread could be crispier n more flavor. My bf got a prime rib n he said it was delicious. We signed up for their players card and got good deals. Might come back again to try other option for other pub locations. 7/10 read more

Food was better than it looks! I had decent expectation for the price not bad! Good and fast service probably since I ate very early at 7 am in Vegas lol Breakfast sandwich was very fulfilling. One of our favorite spots in town. The Ellis Island village pub still has their specials going during the remodel. A burger for 5.99! You can't beat that. It is a half pound angus burger and it is delicious. Such a large portion of fries. The rooftop bar is now open and it's a great view and a nice atmosphere.
