I don't wear crazy pro-gun t-shirts and I don't belong to the NRA, but I do believe in protecting my family. To do that I need to be safe and proficient and that's where practice and gun ranges like these fine folks come in. This is an outdoor range which is significant in states with temperatures like Florida. In January and February, it's a great place to shoot. In the afternoons in July and August, not so much. That's why indoor ranges with AC are so popular here. The other issue is pistols or long guns and this place handles both. Lots of folks' love that! They are currently open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to the public. Other than temperature and open hours there is a lot to like here. They are priced right; around $15 for a day pass. Annual memberships are available which give you access every day of the week. The facilities are nice, and they often make improvements. The staff are friendly and proficient and incredibly safety conscious as they should be. They are family friendly as long as strict range safety is practiced. If you need to get some practice in without taking out a second mortgage, they would be a fine choice.

The military you will recognize the way they run the range. Coming from a self policing range/club it took some getting used to and added a lot of time to out shooting of strings. You have to stop at the "pro shop" and watch a video and sign a waiver. One and done after that. Good for any FWC range in FL. They had targets, cleaning gear and ammo. They staff was very friendly and the cost was just under 13 dollars for all day. They had a rifle range also but we shot on the 7yd and 25yd pistol ranges. Protip. You can shoot any caliber pistol on the pistol ranges. We had pistol caliber carbines and another guy was shooting a 300AAC pistol. A nice facility that was very busy on a Friday.

Worst Experience I've Ever Had at Tenoroc Public Shooting Range…read more Today was an absolute disaster and completely ruined what was supposed to be a perfect day of shooting with my brother. I've been coming to Tenoroc for a long time and have NEVER dealt with anything like this before. The RSO on duty, Omar, behaved in a way that was unprofessional, confrontational, and completely inconsistent with how this range is normally run. From the moment we walked in, the energy was off. It felt like we were being singled out for no reason. We were placed in the 15 and 25 yard sections. We followed instructions, waited for the range to go hot, and had barely even started shooting or fully set up targets. After only TWO SHOTS, Omar aggressively approached my brother and suddenly claimed he couldn't shoot at 15 yards without completing some "5-yard course" -- a requirement that is not clearly communicated in any video or instructions provided beforehand. Instead of calmly explaining or guiding us, he jumped straight to threatening to remove us from the range and force us into a class that was never mentioned prior. No warning, no professionalism, no attempt to educate -- just intimidation and attitude. I fully understand RSOs must enforce safety, but there is a massive difference between being strict and being outright hostile. This was not about safety -- this was about ego and poor judgment. The way he handled the situation was chaotic and stressful, and it completely destroyed the experience. What was supposed to be a relaxing day turned into frustration, confusion, and wasted time. I left angry, disappointed, and honestly shocked that this behavior is allowed. Tenoroc seriously needs to retrain their staff or reconsider who they put in charge of managing shooters. One person single-handedly ruined my entire day and tarnished a range I used to respect. I will not be recommending this place to anyone if this is the level of treatment customers receive. I will not be returning anytime soon. I urge anybody reading to avoid this range thanks to Omar.

My husband and I started our day at their coffee shop espresso bar -- the cappuccinos are perfectly on target! It's such a clean, comfortable space to relax while shopping for a new firearm or waiting for a class. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. They offer so much more than a typical range -- concealed carry classes, G-license recertification, private one-hour training sessions, self-defense, judo, and a massive simulator with realistic tactical scenarios. They even host birthday parties and have an impressive tactical maze -- all in Building One! And those are just a few of the many classes they offer -- there's something for every skill level and interest. Building Two is where our family of six enjoys time together on the range. We always feel completely safe knowing there are highly trained experts with many qualifications monitoring and guiding everyone to ensure all safety rules are followed. The lanes are clean and well-maintained, and there's even a comfortable lounge with a TV for breaks between rounds. Every detail here shows how much they care about safety, professionalism, and creating a great experience for everyone. I bring my most precious family members here, and I always feel confident we're in capable hands. This has become one of our favorite family places -- we can't wait to come back!
