This hospital is now owned by a corporation called Encore Vet in New York State. My opinion of Encore is that they are all about money and have zero interest in providing veterinary care. The staff at Lake Pointe is tremendous. However, their x-ray machine has been inoperable now for about 8 weeks! Any procedure requiring an x-ray cannot be performed. You will still pay for the office visit even though the service cannot be provided. We took our pet that has cardiomyopathy to Lake Pointe to have its chest tapped to remove excess fluid. This requires that an x-ray be done to locate the needle insertion point. Since the x-ray unit was still in need of repair or replacement they could not perform the procedure. They referred us to the local VEG emergency hospital where we paid an $1100 bill for their services. I have reported Encore Vet to the Ohio Veterinary board for investigation. To have an x-ray unit out of service for 8 weeks shows how little they care about providing care for animals. I repeat, they are in it for money and nothing else. I also repeat that the Lake Pointe staff in Amelia are great but their lack of support from the corporate ownership has caused me to find a new veterinary clinic. If zero stars were a choice, that would be my rating. I do not recommend Lake Pointe in Amelia due to corporate's lack of caring. read more

I suspect many of the reviews favoring this veterinary ''hospital'' are from back in the day when it was All Creatures --owned and operated by Drs Meakin and his wife also a veterinarian.. An amazing place back then, but no more.... I even saw they used photos of the place in this yelp ad from before and even one of Dr Dan and his wife. Dr Dan seriously loved helping all the animals, but the new owners are hostile to anyone who challenges their opinion, unlike Dr Dan who acted more like a consultant to those who were trying to care for their own animals, and especially rescuers in order to help more animals . The new owner/vet presumes to dictate her opinions on vaccination, does not consider the pet owner's possible intelligence, ignoring the research showing that none of the vaccines has been tested against a genuine placebo, as well as the research showing that veterinary vaccines caused early cancers on dogs, and the research showing that [in humans] unvaccinated children were far healthier than the vaccinated. Then came the subject of surgery, potentially to find cancer and dismissal of successful use of ivermectin to cure cancer in animals --which is being adopted now by many humans now posting their successful results as n=1 cases repeating many times. But no worry, she'll be most eager to proffer euthanasia services and her prices are more than double for even just an office call. Guaranteed this woman doesn't even deserve a 2.5 rating ...even tho the surviving staff still try to be helpful on the phone. TTYL read more

I went to this clinic over a yr ago (had been recommended to me by my father where we got 2 of my childhood pets cremated ) when I took my kitten they did not touch him at all just told me to bring in a stool sample asap as regards to his issues, they lost the stool sample and told me to bring another one no charge(since it was there fault) once I did they told me no charge and I left they soon called back and said they would need me to bring him back in for another exam and PAY for another stool sample. this place is a joke they only care about money and not about you animals. read more

All Creatures Animal Hospital- Amelia you should be ashamed of yourselves!!! This is how our poor cockatiel was returned to us after boarding him for a week. Same paper towel that we put in when we left him, a bed that is covered in days upon days worth of poop, and both food bowls filled with molded strawberries / congealed food. The best exotic vet around. Got me an appointment on the same day and a follow up surgery the next morning. My Guinea pig is on the road to recovery thanks to the professional and compassionate staff who greeted me on those days. If the negative reviews are true, they must have changed. They're nothing like they supposedly used to be. This place is very much worth the visit and will be my new permanent veterinarian, as long as they still do exotics. read more

I would not recommend this vet. I have a cat that I took there and the vet told me to put her down that day due to kidney failure. I decided to wait to put her down because my daughter was coming home from college the next day and wanted to say goodbye to her cat. They put her on medication and sent her home telling us she only had a few days to live. Fast forward 2 weeks, she is perfectly normal and healthy again. Eating like she used to, meowing, and jumping. I can't even imagine actually putting her down that day knowing that she's now healed and thriving. Truly a disappointment. Never going there again. Save your dogs life and do not use their services!!! We used their boarding facility for 7 days for our dog( a Doberman) named Haus. We paid for a suite and the extra fee for the extra care such as extra walks, run time and overall care. We picked Haus up and was handed his leash and Nathan walked away abruptly. I put Haus in the car and that's when I really looked at him. Haus had golf ball size lumps on the side of his neck (lymph nodes),inside his ears was covered in dried blood and pus, his genitals were swollen along with blood and pus and his balls had a quarter size open sore on them. I immediately called my vet and made an emergency appointment for Haus. I also called All Creatures to find out what happened and explain to me why he wasn't medically treated and why I wasn't contacted immediately! This call took forever because I was put on hold forever and then the conversation was with Nathan the guy in charge of boarding. I now know why he walked away from me so abruptly as Haus drug me out of there! I questioned Nathan about Haus injuries and Nathan said he didn't notice anything was wrong with Haus. OMG there is no way their staff would not have noticed unless they are blind. He argued with me for 20 minutes and insisted they did take care of Haus. I had to hang up to calm down. He was going to ask other staff if they noticed anything. I took pictures of Haus because I had a feeling, they would deny anything was wrong. The next day I call All Creatures to talk to the manager and of course had to leave a message. For the next 5 days I called to talk to her, and she never would return my call. She had Nathan call me back which ended in him yelling at me on the phone denying he did anything wrong. I then in turn called to talk to the Director Dr. Faircloth where again took weeks to get a return call. Meanwhile Haus has had to go through bloodwork, test, office visits, emergency calls and numerous medications. Haus had to have numerous bloodwork done but his bloodwork was coming up major white blood cell count. Haus had made some progress as my Vet treated him for infections along with trying to get him to eat but after 14 days, he took a turn for the worse and passed away. We were devastated. Dr. Faircloth finally returned my call, he would investigate and see what happened. Many weeks and many phone call to him later he called me and said that he was sorry and that someone should have contacted their vet, but they were not responsible for Haus condition. Mind you Haus was in their care for 7 days and you are required to sign their paperwork saying they will seek medical attention if required. I also left 4 names and phone numbers for emergency contact along with our own numbers. We received no phone call nor did anyone else because in their eyes they saw nothing wrong! Dr. Faircloth told me that the Boarding department is only responsible to "feed and water the dogs! " He then continued with saying that I should have taken Haus to them for Vet care the outcome would have been different. All Creatures couldn't take care of Haus for the 7 days he was under their care. All Creatures said they did not see anything wrong with him so why would anyone even consider using their Vets! His statement was lame and ridiculous! Dr. Faircloth the Director at All Creatures Animal Hospital and Boarding facility refused any responsibility in the lack of medical care while in their care at their Boarding facility. My original review was one star and very negative because I had a negative experience with the wellness plan program and, especially, the manager of that program. I had another negative experience with the boarding, and fault myself for not taking more time before a trip to try to find a dog sitter from someone out of their home, and not boarding with a facility with more flexible policies and/or had a 24/7 onsite presence. However, I received a voicemail after hours from the owner of ACAH, Dr. Dan, and he was very concerned about my negative experience and wanted to talk about it. As upset as I was about my negative experience, it did not make me feel any better to post such a negative review. As a matter of fact, it just made me feel worse. For this reason, I have deleted my previous negative comments and just want to say that the veterinary services at ACAH are as good or better than any in the area, and I have been taking my dogs to them for many years. I do think there are bad apples in any organization, and ACAH has grown to the point where one bad apple as I had experience with concerning the wellness program, and the person that called back about the boarding (sounded like the same ice cold bad apple) were enough to send me to a negative place as a result of my negative experience. I will continue to take my dogs to ACAH for veterinary care, but will avoid any wellness plans or boarding there in the future. read more

Took our beardiein because he was lethargic and having diarrhea. The only reason we went here was their hours were the only ones that fit our schedules. We have had issues in the past but not so bad as to keep us away. Vet was fine but lacked bedside manner and basic compassion. I can deal with that if the vet knows what they are doing. We went to leave and counter staff said we had meds to take home. Vet had said during visit we wouldn't be taking meds. Counter staff acted confused and finally verified no medsto take home. This is the second time this has happened. 2 follow up calls from a second vet left us confused. The second vet was vague and lacked compassion. When we tried to ask questions the vet stated they had to go they had other clients to see. Needless to say we have made an appointment with another vet office who hopefully can help us. What a waste of money! Oh and who puts a step at the top of the handicapped access ramp anyway? Thanks for making your facility easy to access! luckily I no longer want to access your offices and there are other vets with decent ramps or no steps at all. read more

Called this place twice before showing up to confirm that they did have a surgeon that could repair a broken leg on a dog. They said they do have their best surgeon on duty and there's nothing that she can't fix. So we made the decision to take the dog there just for them to refer us somewhere else which is why I called them twice in the beginning to avoid just being referred elsewhere. This place is a total joke they are ripping people off and scamming people stay completely away from them. Total lack of class. This place should be shut down. read more

Save yourself the headache and find a different vet/boarder. We've had several issues with the Amelia location, including but not limited to overcharging, incorrect information, being hung up on or put on hold for excessively long periods of time, and unfortunately killing one of our dogs and then trying to cover it up. When I came to drop my dog off I was informed the close at 7 on Friday (which was the day I was picking him up) I said great thank you. I arrive at 6:35 the following Friday to pick up. Since it's curbside only, I call to let them know I'm here. I'm asked an abundant amount of irrelevant information and then placed on hold two separate times. As I watched vet techs come in and out with other animals, 20 mins later a tech comes back on the phone and informs me they are closed and advises me to knock on the door-which I did but at this point all of the lights are out. I'm then told to come back the next day. I arrive the next day to pick up, I'm placed on hold again, for an excessive amount of time. The tech comes back on the line and (long story short) tells me I'm being charged for an extra boarding day. I proceed to explain the prior days events and information I was given- to no avail. I'm told they will not bring my dog out until I pay. I explain I'm happy to pay for the original boarding nights and not the extra due to it being their mistake. After much back and forth, they basically hold my animal hostage, until I threaten to call the police. It was a stressful headache, which was completely avoidable. read more

They don't deserve a one star. The Vet was very confident my dog would do well with surgery. I dropped her off between 7-730am per their instructions but they didn't start surgery until after 2pm. She had separation anxiety and sat in the cage alone all day. She made it through surgery but died as they were walking her back to her crate. The vet asked what color paw print I wanted, I said white. When I went in to pick up her ashes I was greeted by a rude, uncaring receptionist who said " put your mask on" when I gave my name and told her why I was there" , not please put your mask on or we have a mask policy just " put your mask on" . The ashes came in a very small box. I've had multiple animals cremated throughout the years and I know what size urn a 55 lb dog needs. I honestly don't think I received my dogs ashes or not all of them. It sickens me everytime I think of this experience . I also received an ugly red and black paw print. Looks like a child finger painted it! They forgot to give me her collar and leash so that was another trip up there. They also don't clean rooms between visits. IV bag hanging, etc. I'll never take another pet to this place and don't recommend you do either. read more

Everything up until I picked up my cat was Wonderful, after I had picked my cat up and paid for the surgery it seems that they stopped caring. I was told my cat didn't try to touch his cone and should be absolutely fine with it when I asked about the possibility of it coming off, once my cat was home and out of his carrier he proceeded to get his cone off in about 5 seconds. I called them and they asked me to rush down there if I could get there soon, assuming that their sense of urgency was due to my cats health I rushed down there, they put another cone on him and I asked about the possibility of this cone coming off and was told since they tied it around his torso it shouldn't come off. I got home and he had the cone off faster than the first time, I tried calling back and found out that they closed at 6pm (it was now 6:06 so I know where their sense of urgency was coming from). The recording told me that if it was an emergency to press one so I did which played a recording telling me to call the number I just called. I left a message on their machine (it's now maybe 6:08) and haven't heard back. My cat has been tearing at the stitches since he got the cone off but all they're worried about is getting home on Friday evening. Absolutely ridiculous, you'd assume that the people working at the vet care about the well-being of the animals they treat but that's proven to be untrue. read more

This place is fine, until it isn't. I have been taking my dog to the Anderson location for 5 years. During that time, I have only needed well-visits, and I had no issues. I always had a sort of vague feeling of dissatisfaction, but there was nothing actually wrong. I just chalked it up to the fact that my previous vet (in NE Ohio) was fantastic, and this practice felt less caring and more focused on business. This week, I discovered just how uncaring ACAH can be. My dog has been ill. I called on a Saturday for an appointment, but the Anderson location had no openings. I agreed to a walk-in appointment at the Amelia location for an extra fee of $10. At the appointment, blood and urine samples were taken. I was told the results would be back the following Monday, and someone would call me. Monday came and went with no call. I called the Amelia office on Tuesday and was told that the doctor who ordered the tests would have to go over the results with me and he was apparently not in the office until Thursday. I called on Thursday, only to be told that the hospital was closed for a staff meeting. In summary, I paid extra and drove 10 miles out of my way out of concern for my dog's health, only to be stonewalled for nearly a week. Meanwhile, my dog is miserable and I don't know how to help her. This practice has multiple vets working there. Is it really so unreasonable that one of the other doctors could call me with the results? I will not be returning to this practice in the future. If they don't even have the courtesy to call with lab results, I don't want them in charge of my pets' health. read more

Where would I start? First of all it's run by a team of loons. They don't keep records, they don't document medical issues, they don't listen to anything you have to say. They don't bother to double check doses of medication, you pay for wellness plans and then I show and I'm told I don't have a wellness plan. Dr. Charlie the owner, is the worst -he's frightening. I have always taken my dogs to be groomed here but the last time I took them it took 6 hours and my male dog was hardly trimmed. The lady who trimmed him had a bad attitude and I didn't like the job she did. But the young lady who did my female always does a fantastic job and is so good with her. I wanted him cut shorter than he was but she refused to do what I asked. I know if you cut them too short, their hair may not grow back in right. When I picked them up he didn't even look like he had a haircut and it costs me 108.00 for two dogs. I'm sorry but I won't be back anymore. They're always wanted them to have this test and that test and my dogs are alway up on their shots and anything they need. I took my dogs to the vet a few days earlier and it costs me over $300.00 and they still wanted me to have them tests them for something else. Sorry but I'm done. read more

I go to either the Anderson or the Amelia location. There are no other Vets for me! We have had 2 cats and 2 dogs since we found this vet and before finding "All Creatures Animal Hospital" we had really high bills and marginal care for our pets. These people have animals themselves but they do no expect you to endure payments higher than your mortgage to keep pets healthy. They spay and rescue animals and offer them for adoption. Our little "Scrappy" is a rescue from this place and we LOVE the boarding service out in Amelia. Our basset "Dude" was cared for at All Creatures before we finally had to make the difficult decision to put him down and you will not find more caring and loving people to take you through that process. The husband and wife team that normally cares for our pets were out and we had a great Dr. England and another lady "tag team" the situation and we got test results and assistance to help us make "end of life" decisions for the coolest dog we'd ever loved........don't go anywhere else! read more

My family have been loyal customers to Dr Meakin for over 16 years, so naturally when I got my own dog it was a no brainer that I would be taking my dog there. I signed up online for a puppy wellness plan, based on what my dog needed I was told it would be $26.95 a month, awesome! But when I had my actual visit they told me they had just changed their policy and if you're a new client the full balance of the wellness plan is due upfront. No where on their website or paper work does it state that. I told the tech that and she went to speak to the office manager who didn't even come back to talk to us. Was told too bad so sad. That is awful customer service, you guys didn't put that anywhere for people to see. That's your problem not mine. I had both of my dachshunds groomed by Megan. I have a wire hair and long haired dachshund and they are my kids. Megan did a perfect job grooming them! She went the extra mile and dolled them up with ribbons and bandanas! I was in awe of how good my babies looked. I cant recommended her enough! Don't take your pet here unless you've got plenty of money on hand. If you're anyone like me, a guy that lives on about $700 a month, they can't do much for your dog. I took my black pug, Batman, in to be seen about seizures that came out of nowhere. He was 3, nearly 4 years old, and never had any sort of health problems before. The doctor, I forget her name, diagnosed him with epilepsy. They ran his blood work and got nothin. His seizures were full on grandma seizures. I paid for the vet visit and for the medication. The medication didn't do much for the seizures and his condition just continued to deteriorate drastically. They wanted to care for him over night, but I didn't trust them to watch my dog all night and didn't like the idea of him being left alone in some cage. Since the vet clearly hadn't a clue, I continued to monitor his symptoms and care for him as best as I could. I did as much research as possible, keeping track of all of his symptoms and tried to search for anything that could be causing his seizures. PDE is the most common cause for his breed, however, his symptoms (or lack of) didn't fit the diagnosis. He didn't have problems with his vision or unusual behavior outside of during his seizures. I woke up to my dog screaming in pain, so I called to see if I could bring him in to be put down. I rushed him over and the vet explained his brain is swelling. He'd need anti inflammatory, which would cost me around $200, and he'd need to see a neurologist which would cost me around $800. I had already spent everything I could to help my dog as he became too weak to even eat his normal dog food and to medicate him. I asked if they could set me up with a bill or payment plan so that my dog could receive the care he needed. The guy says, "It's gonna be $800 aaand.. a no on that payment plan. It's gotta be cash upfront." Then he says, "Don't worry, she's ringing it up, we'll find the best low ball treatment." The entire conversation felt more focused on the money than my dying dog. I told the vet, it's definitely not epilepsy, and he agreed. I knew he'd think PDE, though I didn't fully agree, and he insisted it was too soon to call it. His words, "If it were my dog, I'd wait." Easy for you to say considering if you have a pet, they likely get free treatment and you're not in my position. My boy is there crying in pain, dying, and that's the last thing I needed to hear. He tried to play on my guilt to get me to prolong my dog's suffering so he could get another visit, more medication, and more money. Thank God for my dad, I didn't even have the money to put my dog down, so luckily he had enough to lend me. After, I took my dog home and buried him. My older brother later recommended me to use the vet he goes to in the future. There, they take care of your dog first and discuss the bill later. They even set you up with a payment plan, but insist you pay it off in 6 months. Shame these guys don't take notes, I'm good for paying my debts. read more

My Husband and I have been going to All Creatures for 14 years. Dr. Dan and staff are the most wonderful, caring people around. Everytime we come in everyone is so caring towards our dogs and to us as well! We have always had above and beyond service. I can not imagine ever going to another Vet. Been taking our dog here from day one. She's not so much a fan, but they treat her well. Usually not a problem getting her in when it fits my schedule. Costs about what I'm used to. They also have a kennel we use when we go on vacation, usually a week at a time. How can you say you "never" turn away pets, when you do if there are no appointments available? Remember, I read an entire thread full of complaints about All Creatures. I saw the same complaints numerous times. Are all of us liars looking for someone to blame? Why would you put the fault on me for not taking my dog to another vet after All Creatures turned her away? I'm not a veterinarian. You are the professionals (not you, specifically - that part is obvious from your consistent use of ampersands rather than using the actual word "and" like an educated adult). A vet at All Creatures was the vet that she always went to. If you're turning her away, you're the professionals, and you're actually, vocally telling me that the condition isn't life-threatening and can wait until after lunch, why would I believe anything different? At this point, I don't expect an apology or any sympathy from you at all. Clearly, you're incapable of behaving as a decent human being. No one even apologized after finding out my dog died, so why would you now? Instead, All Creatures immediately offered to cremate her for hundreds of dollars. Clearly, you're only in the business of making money. Not saving animals. All Creatures should put a portion of that money towards sending you to school, so you can actually develop some customer service skills. The Anderson grooming department are rude people. They canceled last minute for a appointment that we had for weeks. We rescheduled they overbooked themselves, canceled my appointment while I was driving to the location with my babies in the car. The groomer hung up on me. So rude, so trashy and unprofessional. I will post this bad review on every site I can. We have used All Creatures in Amelia for years for 4 dogs and we had never been treated this way. read more

I have always had good experiences here. Dr. Dan Meaken repaired our dog's ACL's. The surgery went really well and it was done at half the cost of the ortho specialist vet in town. Short recovery time and she was 100%. Also have had our dog in for emergent care and have found everyone to be caring and helpful. We had 2 dogs years ago and always had their care here as well. All good, from routine care to boarding to end of life care. Very compassionate and caring. read more

Overall I had a very negative experience. The woman at the front desk was nice and helpful as well as the doctor. The first issue was that I showed up on time, yet waited over an hour after my appointment was scheduled to even see the doctor, but my real problems began when I went to check out. One woman at the checkout desk was very rude. I asked her where the restroom was and she completely ignored me. She didn't look at me or say anything, so I said "excuse me" to get her attention and she gave me a very condescending look & told me that she was "trying" to talk to the techs over her earpiece. Later I came back to pick up my pet & the same woman at the checkout told me that my total was around $120. I handed her one 50 dollar bill as well as 4 20 dollar bills which surely would've covered it. She told me I still owed around $40. I thought this was odd but assumed maybe I was wrong so I gave her two more 20 dollar bills. After she gave me my receipt, I noticed she wrote that I only gave her $120 which was obviously wrong because since I gave her a $50 dollar bill, it would've offset the price to either $110 or $130. I brought it up to her and she was extremely condescending to me since she thought she was right. I explained to her twice that it didn't make since because the 50 dollar bill I gave her would've offset the number. Eventually she realized she was wrong and made the excuse that it's just been a rough day. I understand that people have rough days, but it was extremely negligent of her to overlook an entire 50 dollar bill. I will not be returning due to this one employee who caused me to be really upset, and made me feel like I was in the wrong. read more

I have had some poor pet care in the past for our animals, but not these guys. These guys are the best. I have been looking for a Doctor we can trust for our pets. They are like our babies. They have wowed me every time I have been in the office. Last night I called when they were closing, and the doctor waited for me to get there. They could have sent me to Med Vets, but they didn't. He took the time to check every thing, The time before this visit we took the pups for nail trims. The technician was more than we could have asked for. She even weighed each one before trimming their nails and gave them a quick look over. We have taken a newborn puppy there, our young dogs, and an older dog. read more

OMG!!! Walk in clinic usually means, no appointment needed. That was not the case today or I wasn't considered VIP. The clinic opened at 3pm. I was inside at 3pm. One customer was in front of me. But as time went by, 50 minutes, I noticed customers going through a side entrance, REALLY!? The lobby was so hot and unbearable. VERY poor animal care on birds (resulted in the death of mine for not running through basic testing for the problem), reptiles, cats, AND dogs. They make a lot of money just treating a high volume of clients. I know no one who has been "highly satisfied" with their care and all have gone an extra 15 minutes to switch vets. And to top it off, very over-priced. I needed eye surgery on two rescued cats and they wanted to charge around $1000 per eye. I went to another vet east of them and got the same work done for about $300 an eye. Another time I had to have most of the teeth removed in a rescue- they charged around $700. My dog became ill right after I got in town on Saturday December 12. His stomach was very swollen and you could tell he had fluid on it. We previously had been a patient there prior to moving out of town. I called them first thing Sunday morning as they were the only local vet open. The Amelia office staff were very helpful and pleasan. Tge dod some tests and drained fluid and needed to wait for a fluid culture to come back to determine what was going on. Tuesday morning when he got up his hind leg was swollen with fluid and he could barely walk. I immedialy called tge Amelia location. I was told that due to a family emergency they did not have a doctor in the office but their Anderson office opened at 7:45 and they had a dr there. FROM HERE ON THE SERVICE WENT TOTALLY DOWN HILL. The Anderson receptionist(female) told me they could not see him. I stressed I felt it was an emergency and if they were covering for Amelia why wouldn't they see him. She was very rude and recommended an emergency location elsewhere, I might add I spent $740.00 and did not want to go in elsewhere as a new patient. As I continued to be treated very rudely I then commented about the online reviews indicated how rude the office was. Then shockingly she said to me well if the reviews were so bad why did you come here in the first place. I was stunned. I told her I went there because I had no other local choice. The management staff seriously need to look at how some of their staff are treating patients. They are the first contact and give the first impression of the office. This causes all the doctors to look bad. I got into another vet almost immediately this morning and they are now treating my dog. Needless to say I would never ever considering returning to All Creatures due to the rudeness of the way I was treated and not becase of the doctors. I'm very upset with the poor service, they were very unprofessional and rude, Do Not Recommend! Very mistreated

On June 3 I had taken my dog here, at All creatures hoping to get the best help I could for my best friend. However that wasn't the case at all. For 1. We sat in the waiting room for 1 1/2 when I was told 20 minute wait time. For 2. The nurses that came in were so sloppy, completely unprofessional and didn't answer half of my questions I asked because they said they didn't know or they were just too tired and couldn't think at the moment. I feel it's unprofessional to come to a heath work place when your not at your best so u can perform to each an every animal brought to you. I trusted that they would do there best and the effort relieved was pitiful, careless. Each and every person in that animal care facility is in it for the money. Disgusting. Once I waited for 3 hours for a response, a test, a doctor we finally was served, payed $400 and then received the medicine and went on our way. 2 days later I wake up in the morning to love on my baby Gizmo and he was stiff, no heartbeat, no breathing. I was told all his test came back crystal clean that he was healthy and continued his meds. I will never go to another all creatures again. read more

My cat was vomiting and lethargic and I had to beg the front staff to be able to drop her off to have a vet examine her since I had to be at school. They said they did x rays and full blood work and everything was negative. They sent her home on nausea medicine. She continued to deteriorate. I called again and asked to bring her in and I was told that until the cat ate something, they would not see her. I was stunned by their complete lack of caring. My cat was dying and would not eat. I took her to Park Plaza Animal Hospital. Park Plaza requested her records from the day she was seen at All Creatures and no documentation of X rays being done was noted. Only partial lab work was done (a CBC) and an exam. Upon doing x rays, the intestines were wrapped around each other and during emergency surgery string was removed from her intestines. This was something that would have been caught on an X ray initially had it been done at All Creatures. Luckily my cat survived. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of care that took place at All Creatures. It used to be a good animal hospital, but not anymore. I do not recommend this animal hospital. read more

I have been going to All Creatures for years. I have gone to other vets, but All Creatures seems to have a uncanny ability to diagnose problems correctly. I think they do things the right and best way. They are always reevaluating practices and improving. If you want high quality care, I recommend All Creatures. Our pets lives are in their hands. They are not the cheapest care, but I think that is because they don't cut corners. They are fair and competitively priced. Also, their end of life euthanasia care is the most gentle and humane of any place I have ever had to use. Other places do not adequately sedate. I have experienced terrible moments elsewhere, but never at All Creatures. read more

I took my dog there after she ate pieces of tennis ball and had to have emergency surgery. The staff was wonderful and so caring!

Dr. Meakin and his staff are wonderful. You could not ask for a better physician and staff. They are professional and kind and treat our pot belly pig and us with great respect. I don't think Dr. Meakin ever rests. We have been in a bind twice with our pig and Dr. Meakin has bent over backwards to accommodate us and we are thankful! Keep up the excellent work. read more
