Pros: close to home (little over an hour away) Lots of nice campsites with full hook-up Two outdoor pools, plus a hot tub and mini lazy river Two beach areas Large fishing/kayaking/paddle boarding and paddle boat pond Golf cart rentals (which is a pro and con, as they could use more because so many people want to rent them) Mini golf Grill (pro and con, as it's there and food is good. However, they sure take their time when taking your order and making it) Cons: sometimes just way too many people; especially when driving and kids are darting every which way right in front of you Renting a golf cart is cut throat during peak season, as you basically have to be right there as someone turns one in. No holds on them, and they can't tell you when the next available one comes available Staff is hit or miss on friendliness. My spouse had a rude encounter at the gate when he arrived for camping. Sometimes the staff in the party store is rude too. Gets super dusty with all the traffic around the campground

Been a member for many years. We now book and stay in cabins. Need to have more maintenance done on the off season. Internet very poor at best. TVs in cabins have super poor service. Need to get updated and use cable. Only get 4 channels, that cut in and out. Park clean and always nice looking. Manager very hard to reach. Friendly staff. Should use lodge on northshore in winter for a adult get away ( Has fireplace, NOT USED)

very unorganized! we had a 7 day stay and was harassed on our 3rd day to leave because their booking agent didn't do the booking correctly. we checked in with no problem for the dates of june 10th-june 17th. we also had our reservation number but we were told that the site was booked for someone else even though we are booked to check out on the 17th. the customer service representative i talked to was unprofessional and the davison location representatives were clueless to everything. not to mention all of the amenities are outdated and out of order!!! the membership is too expensive for this type of treatment so never get one here !!!! update: june 15, 22 well today my husband received a call while he was at work being questioned by a employee from the davison location stating that they were told we have no activity going on at our site. i'm so confused on why does that matter as long as we are not breaking any rules!!! i wonder did it ever occur to them that everyone can enjoy their time away from home any way they please to do so whether that's being outside their rv or being inside their rv! it was a heat advisory today and meanwhile we are being harassed about not having activity at out site . i'm beyond livid with this campground! again there is no way i would want a membership! between all of this harassment and confederate flags at the campground we wouldn't go back or recommend anyone either. i wish i could give no stars! update to the ownerfirst you didn't allow us to stay our full time we were actually asked if we could check out wednesday no later than thursday to accommodate the members who held a membership. so since we didn't have a membership we didn't matter! also you need a new policy because we were at our site we just mind our own business! i didn't read a response to all of the confederate flags there at your racist campground so don't try to address what you feel like you want to address be professional and address it all. i'll wait never get a membership here and again all of the amenities are old and if you don't believe me read other reviews. i don't know about there other locations but davison sucks, is unprofessional and is utterly confused!!!!

Has anyone really won anything besides gift cards for this resort when they were "chosen" as a "finalist" for a truck or $20k?…

I looked up the reviews before even going to the resort as we were also chosen as "big winners". I told my husband it was a scam for an overpriced timeshare at a campground yet he still wanted to go for the prizes. What a joke, as I already knew… Read more

Its an ideal destination for an extended stay. As a former seminary built in the 1940's, the architectural flourishes are second to none. Design aficionados will be in aesthetic heaven. There are three restaurants on site - an Irish Pub, a wine Bar, and a Steakhouse with a bar and breakfast service. The wine bar is definitely worth a visit, whereas I recommend the other two options primarily for their convenience. Service is exceptional and the beds are firm but very comfortable, nonetheless. The in-room TV supports casting TV & movie apps - Netflix, Hulu, etc. - but not music apps, for some reason. Fortunately we brought a WiFi speaker. A few notes on accessibility follow. For context, I can walk with crutches but need to use a wheelchair for long distances. And this hotel is all about long distances. We had an accessible king room, and while the lanes for navigating a wheelchair around the bed are tight, they are manageable. The bed is super comfortable but also very TALL. It could be tricky to transfer to the bed from a wheelchair without assistance of crutches. There is plenty of space in the bathroom and the roll in-shower has a good set up with an accessible shelf for shampoo, etc. Be careful with the bathroom door - it is a very heavy sliding door with a strange locking mechanism. The public spaces in the hotel, including the restrooms, are generally modern and accessible. I also noticed that the pool has a swing chair for water access. One exception is the Irish Pub, which treated accessibility as an afterthought when it was designed. There is no wheelchair access within the hotel - you'll want to drive around to the back to use its parking lot. Additionally, to get to the restroom or the second floor of the pub you'll need to use one of smallest prefab dumb waiters I've ever been in. Finally, be advised that the entrance to the hotel is at the top of a steep hill, and the porte-cochère landing itself is at a slant. Be agile with your brakes, and let your companion park the car after you've exited if you can. Also note that there are only 4 designated accessible parking spaces. We've seen them all full on multiple occasions; for a parking lot of its size, the hotel should probably add about 4 more.

The food is amazing. It's always clean. The staff is very helpful. They go above and beyond.read more

After answer, the solution was to wait for maintenance to arrive for the day in approximately 60-90 minutes to flip the breaker. Proceeded to check out. I understand issues can occur. Especially in Michigan winter. The low review is rooted in the lack of responsiveness to correct the issues and no compensation provided in return. When I informed them of the fact that I travel with a service animal their response was immediate --- "We'll book you at the Hilton Garden Inn" ... The experience there was great from checking in to checking out ... The lobby is clean and modern with comfortable lounge chairs big pillows ... When you go to your room your television has a big welcome with your name scrolling across the screen ... I'll have to admit that was a FIRST for me and I felt like a rock star!!! The bathroom was huge and disability equipped ... however the floors were marble and COLD and the water from the shower was not contained inside the shower enclosure so slippery cold marble floors in a mobility disability appointed room does not make for a feeling of well-being ... nonetheless it was a beautifully arranged room more like a two-room suite because the bedroom was totally separate from the bathroom and closet area ... A disability doesn't mean we're all in a wheelchair and the closet, while having plenty of drawer space, did not have a place for me to hang my coat or dresses ... the hangers were about 4 ft from the floor meaning you could hang folded pants but everything else would hit the floor and there were no hooks to hang coats jackets or sweaters ... this struck me as very odd ... But like I said the bedroom was completely separate and I had a very comfortable king size bed with lights & shelving on both sides and charging ports for phones etc., ... A long desk lined the opposite wall & held the widescreen TV which swivels so while sitting at the desk you could still watch TV comfortably ... oh and I forgot to mention that next to the closet area was the microwave and refrigerator area ... The hotel also provides a complete workout room in the basement next to a laundry room where the washer is only $1.75 and the dryer is FREE ... The hotel dining room is called SAUCE ... their breakfast choices are amazing and lunch and dinner are Italian with great portions and wonderful wine selections .... I truly enjoyed my stay

It's an awesome spot for families. We loved the Bavarian theming and architecture throughout the lodge. Service was solid too; everyone we spoke with was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with a very comfy bed, plus a mini fridge with a freezer, microwave, and a couch. You also get a bunch of coupons for activities in the area, which is a great bonus. One thing we really appreciated was the adults-only section, a quieter area with a pool, hot tub, and a billiards table. Perfect for unwinding after busy days exploring Frankenmuth. Overall, a super enjoyable stay and somewhere we'd happily return to. For more honest travel and hotel reviews, make sure to check out our YouTube channel, A&M Roam!

Bought our room online, and signed up for the rewards program. The day of, we tried to get an earlier check in, but was told no. Tried to get a late check out and was told no. Checking in was a long line and not fun. The rooms are very outdated. They felt pretty clean? But the room definitely needs an overhaul. The names of the families is a cool concept regarding which room you stay in. But we had about 17 picture frames of this family watching over us while we slept, was weird. The beds at least were comfortable and felt clean with the bedding. It was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. But the bathrooms are definitely outdated and small. Getting to other areas of the hotels can be tough. I have a pretty good sense of direction, but it still was a challenge to get to which floor you need to go and what not. We got lost a few times or on the wrong floor. Signage is not the greatest. The family fun zone was great! Arcades were a lot of fun with different skill levels for all types of ages. Classic kids' play area gave me nostalgic vibes. Full circle to then have my child play on the same play scape as I did! Pretty good seating areas for families to take a break while playing the arcades and what not. The tickets versus prizes you get is laughable, but I feel like that's like that anywhere. The waterpark is epic! I'd give it five stars alone! The staff are super friendly and helpful. There is a security check of sorts when you walk in, especially if you have diaper bags and other bags. Plenty of tables and chairs for seating. We thought about getting a cabana and glad we didn't waste the money. The food at the waterpark was not horribly overpriced and tasted pretty good. The lazy river is not so lazy. It's more like a rapid than a lazy river. The toddler area is plentiful and has a ton of slides and areas. My kiddo was under 18 months so there wasn't much she could do. She loved the water itself, the swings and there was a tiny little slide she could go on. Kiddos have to wear life jackets and they were provided which was nice. The water slides for the adults were great. Fast and fun! The swim up adult bar was closed so some exhausted parents with grandparents being able to watch the kids...that was disappointing. Food options outside of the waterpark were also good! We didn't do a chicken dinner but got carry out from the hotel restaurant. Good portions, tasty, and easy to order. Enjoyed our stay! Other than the rooms being outdated. Our kiddos were entertained non stopped! You could easily visit the waterpark for a few hours or you could stay a few days.

We have stayed here at least 4 times over the past 5 years, usually 1-2 weeks at a time. I feel like a kid staying at Grandma's House. The rooms we have stayed in do not have carpet, #10-one bed and small-perfect for 1 person; #4-two beds, table & chairs, larger bathroom. Cant remember the other room numbers-sorry! There are plenty of throw rugs throughout. There are no weird squiggly light bulbs, just regular Tom Edison type. Yay! All rooms have a microwave, I think. No refrigerators, so bring a cooler if u need it. There is also a small heater and A/C mounted in each room's wall. All rooms have a small flat screen with cable. Just served a plate of authentic cheese and potato homemade pierogi with sour cream. YUM! Josephine is one heck of a Polish cook! Beautiful huge pine and Maple trees hide this little gem of a motel. Picnic tables under the trees add to the charm. Hot dog/Coney island/pulled pork sandwich/ice cream place right next door too. Under $50 per night out the door, but cash only.
