The staff was friendly and I didn't hear much noise during the day or night (excluding one guy who always stomped above my room, but it didn't happen too often) I got a peaceful rest in their special suite that came with a heart-shaped tub- that was definitely used as much as possible! The television worked properly, along with charging ports. I also had a sink in the bathroom and main room, plus a mini fridge and microwave. The hotel breakfast was decent, with my favorites being the french toast and sausage patties. The location is nearby a Walgreens, gas station, and a couple food spots like Applebees, Little Ceasers, and Panda Express. Most of these are walkable, but if you don't want to put in that effort (especially in the middle of winter) they're all just a quick 1-3 minute drive away. While you shouldn't expect anything remarkable when you stay here, that doesn't make it poor in the slightest. As long as I have a sturdy roof over my head, polite staff, and cooked food, I wouldn't mind coming here again.

Pros: 1. Location is good and right off the highway…read more 2. Felt physically safe at the location. 3. Close enough to walk to other food locations. 4. Gas is close. Cons: 1. They do not inform you of their entire pet policy. 2. They do not have password protected guest WiFi. This is fundamentally bad for business because it's bad for guests. Unprotected WiFi leaves guests vulnerable to malware and hackers. It's 2025 and businesses should know to have password protected WiFi for their guests. It's a very basic security measure and is just as important as a hotel room door locking properly. 3. The front desk representative was overheard asking guests about what they knew about an ambulance picking up another guest from the hotel the night before. Guests should have the presumption of privacy NO MATTER WHAT, especially where their private health is concerned. The staff member doesn't have a right to this private information and certainly should not be gossiping about it with other guests. I hope there is some HIPAA training going on. 4. Front desk staff mocked people from a wedding party to other guests. Overall, we did not have a positive experience here. What they have going for them does not make up for their lack of professionalism and basic care for guest privacy and security.

This truly breaks my heart to write because we have loved this facility for so many years…read more We have been bringing our children here annually (sometimes multiple times a year) since 2013. But recently in the last few years, we have noticed a shift (some things they may not directly have control over). But this past weekend was bad and we felt it was time to update our review to reflect what is happening now. From the second you walk into their lobby, throughout the hallways, seeping into the rooms, and even penetrating the waterpark areas, all you can smell is that legalized recreational product (I'm sure you can guess what I'm talking about). It's disgusting, lingering scent persisting everywhere. It clings onto your clothing, suitcase, EVERYTHING. And if you get a room that was previously occupied by guests who partake in that, it reeks of it for your whole stay! Adding to this, you can continuously find bandaids, hair and hair extensions floating in the water and lying around on the ground. Many children/teens are running wild (being very disrespectful) with no adult in sight. This place has lost its charm for us and it truly is sad. This was a vacation we looked forward to annually with our children and have created so many beautiful memories but sadly, it no longer does and then to add the price continuously increasing (which we knew would happen). If the smell of recreational products, filthy areas, and disrespectful guests is your vibe, then this is the place for you. What once used to be our favorite has sadly shifted over the last few years.

The shower was the highlight of the room. spacious, large head with high pressure and a modern design with glass and white tile. I payed the $5 for the upgraded internet and it was well worth it for the lightning-fast speeds. I tried out the pool and waded waist deep, but it was small, cold and nothing special. I really wished they had a hot tub. It was nice to have the little shop downstairs to get water during the evening. They also have a nice selection of snacks and microwavable if you don't want to go anywhere. The only problem was the people above us. Kids running back and forth and slamming into the walls throughout the day and night, making it hard to get a good nights sleep. I really wish they would put large families of kids on the lower floors and put singles and adult couples higher up, so they don't have to be tortured by noise. for $185 a night it was pretty nice.

I've noted better than last year. That's why I'm saying 5 this time. Not a place for kids as I've said. It's usually a 40 and over crowd. Happy hour and breakfast included and wonderful. Maybe get that fireplace working again? We loved that. Overall super clean and comfortable. A very well managed place. Highly recommended. Best spot in town for mature adults.

This is our 2nd year in a row visiting Frankenmuth with family members…read more We tried a new hotel this year and we were very satisfied with our choice. (Last year not so much) The Marv Herzog Hotel sits along the Cass River we chose the River side view, our room had a jacuzzi & small balcony. Our room was very clean with no visible signs of any issues. Bathroom had body wash, shampoo & conditioner all full. Daily room checks with fresh towels & bed makeover. We didn't feel comfortable on the balcony but the large patio was very nice with plenty of room and seating. Included with your stay is breakfast, typical of most hotels. What surprised us was you receive a drink ticket for 2 drinks German beer , wine or soda & hors d'oeuvres for a happy hour. All staff were very friendly & accommodating. Our refrigerator was not cooling the best & they allowed us to store our freezer packs & food in their refrigerator. Greatly appreciated this. Parking garage is tight, we have a truck and it was snug. No pool as this seems to be more of place for couples not necessarily families with small children. Although there were families there. The town offers a free shuttle which we used but most things are within walking distance. I am giving 4 stars because of the refrigerator & I wish we could have set the air conditioner for the fan to run continuously it didn't seem to have that function. & the tv didn't have a sleep mode. Overall I think we will stay here again in the future it has been kept up very well.
