So far, I have had 2 facials w/her, the Hydrating & the European - not sure which is my favorite because they both left my face feeling amazing. I've been here before and tried to give them another try and regret it. I went in for a pedicure and nail set. I choose a pedicure that says on the website it's a 50 minute pedicure only mine was 20 minutes. My nail set...not happy I told the lady I didn't want my nails to be thick and bulky and they are still thick and so sloppy. Didn't even try to file down to my actual nail size width. I don't like them at all. I paid over $100 for both and disappointed. I will not return here again. They try and rush you out. I should have known when the place was pretty empty. Terrible Experience. I went to check out this nail salon since I live nearby and as soon as I walked in I was greeted in a friendly tone which switched very quickly. I wanted to get my nails removed and as soon as I said removal service only, the tone switched. The lady who removed my nails was very passive aggressive and did a horrible job. My nail bed is super thin, red and very sensitive. She was very aggressive when filing the nails down and pressed very hard showing she was upset that I denied a manicure. Both of my wives have been coming here for many a year now. They're always very happy with their services. They do Lashes, nails, facials, haircuts, and scalp massage shampoo. Huge space with 2 hair chairs, over 10 pedicure massage chairs, about half that many mani tables, and some sort of private spa room to the left of the entrance. The walls and corners show obvious wear-and-tear, made worse when you have a half-hour wait time to take it all in. We expected it to be somewhat busy the day before Thanksgiving, but there is definitely some undercurrent of tension between the receptionist (who was juggling appointments and walk-ins) and the hair stylist (who snapped at him for relaying my question about the wait time). I probably won't be one of them but there are LOTs of regulars, judging by some of the interactions; so they're doing something right--our hair and nails DID turn out pretty good, after almost 3 hours there. I would leave zero if I could. Nothing is sanitized. They rush through EVERYTHING and over charge for very cheap quality work. I will never never return . Save your money ! My husband and I wanted mani-pedis before our wedding and we ended up going the night before. My husband never received the manicure he asked for and I didn't get a manicure with my dip set. I specially asked for both and told both technicians what we wanted. She ignored me and seemed very upset when I asked her to do my cuticles. His little sister also went with us and the tech who did her hands was jerking them around and even swatted them when they weren't in the right position. She's 12. Nobody should be getting upset with and jerking around a child. I was extremely upset and spoke with the man at the front about it. He didn't seem to care, almost laughed it off when I told him how the tech had acted. I used to come in all the time and take my friends for special occasions. With my time spent there I seen several men and women walk out. The sheets in the wax room had residue of a orange or red substance on them. The white head rest pillows are turning grayish or brown and looked unkept or unwashed. The wax being used was cold and hard. I had to cut my services short due to the environment. Literally the worst place I've ever gotten my nails done. Firstly, the tools are unsanitary, looks like they've been used on dozens of people with a chance of infection. Maybe it's a cover for some shady business, like how do they even afford to stay open with the services they offer. I am from out-of-town and did not have the chance to go to my regular nail salon since I was running around gathering everything for my trip. I have not gotten my nails done since my nails were DESTROYED and still need time to heal from the TRAUMATIC services received from this salon. I called to complain and the best they could offer me was to transport myself back to this awful place and receive services from some employee who would likely retaliate by "accidentally" chopping off my finger or even worse - removing more of the first layer of nails causing them to break even more - no thank you. I chose the suffering route and told people that a toddler painted my nails at Lakeside Salon. Beware of the male nail tech. He is the one that did my gel manicure. The entire service was a complete joke I kept laugh-crying internally and looking around for the punk'd cameras. I told him over 20 times to file my nails straight (they were crooked, thin and sad af in the end) and stop asking me to get tips, I probably lost my voice prior to leaving. I have been checking out different nail salons looking for a place to go on a regular basis. I came across Lake Side Salon and decided to give them a try. Everyone was pleasant. My nails looked great. But a few days later I noticed a chipped spot on right finger. I was out of town so not much I could do and it wasn't very noticeable. Yesterday, July 14th, a big chunk peeled off my left thumb. This is 9 days after , so now I'm really disappointed. Never had that happen so quickly. Went to salon to see if would fix thumb. Showed both to clerk at front...gave card to show who nail tech was...he seemed willing to help. Another tech came up and he explained. She looked at me and my nail and suddenly started talking in her language and getting louder as she was walking away. I asked if she was upset and fussing...he replied "no ..she says repair has to be within a certain time " I asked what time? He then says about 3 days...I think. What upsets me is the damage is clearly not typical and he didn't have an issue with the time frame initially and switching to a language I don't understand means you're hiding something. Very disappointed of the negative turn this took. Needless to say I won't be returning and advising those I recommended to try..don't bother. read more

When I told her to stop filling my nail down because it was hurting, she kept going. She cut my toenail incorrectly; now I have an ingrown toenail. She filed my toenail too short, and I told her to stop many times. The man from the counter came over, and I told him the issue. He spoke to her in Viet and not knowing I understood what he was telling her. They use illegal utensils, the foot file that looks like a cheese grater. Jenny does the best job of any nail tech I have used at any salon! She does PERFECT gel application! I highly recommend her to anyone in our area who is looking for gel nails. Now the disappointing part is the pedicure. As other reviewers stated, you don't get anything special with a pedicure-basic buffing, scrubbing, light massage and paint. Even though they present you with a whole book of pedicure packages, it doesn't really matter. I chose the Thai pedi which was supposed to include some reflexology-didn't get that. Don't waste much time reading through the pedi options. It will be a good pedicure but nothing above that. Everyone is very sweet and from what I have seen, all of the techs do a good job. First off, let's be honest.. they're open until 11pm because they NEED the business. This is probably the worst nail shop in the Mansfield/grand prairie area. I went in for a SHORT FRENCH SET & a gel pedicure (I have two acrylic big toes). They POPPED OFF MY NAILS after me ASKING NUMEROUS TIMES to have them soaked off. After putting me through pain for 20 min and three people attempting to pop them off they decided to soak them. Mind you I can't even enjoy my pedicure because I'm grimacing in pain. However the pedicure was a SCAM, paid for a milk & honey pedicure but there was no milk NOR honey! She didn't cut my toe nails & she completely messed up my perfect square acrylic toe nail that was already fine. Instead they added an additional $10 to NOT do anything to my big toes. My paint is uneven & we're not even on my nails yet. My nails were done not even 12 hours ago and the paint is chipped, now that I can look at my nails in the light the French is uneven, you can see the brush strokes of her trying to fix her mistakes over already dried GEL! Its super thick, she didn't file them to make them square and crisp as I asked. THEN they tried to over charge me $20, when I said that was incorrect they then said it was a "mistake" and attempted to laugh it off. I'll be returning today for either a refund or a fix. AFTER THIS, I will NEVER be back. Not to mention the place isn't clean or well organize. The shop doesn't fit the area AT ALL! $140 for what? I normally have XXL nails & I always get my toes done with my tech but I needed a quick fix, I should've waited. Can't enforce how trash this place is for real. read more

Not everyone has a bad experience here!I had a really great experience today! I fully thought that since I had never been there, I wouldn't get treated like a regular. You know how it can be sometimes. If they don't know you and you're just a walk in, sometimes they just rush the job. This couldn't have been more opposite of my experience! The color I chose for my gel manicure looked totally different on my nails than on the example. Sarah immediately said we will change it. And they did! They didn't charge me extra either. I thanked them because I truly wasn't really pleased with it, but I didn't want to pay to get the color changed. She said "We want you to come back. We will make it right." I had a great pedicure also! Sarah did my pedicure and Nina did my manicure. They both were very meticulous and took their time shaping and taking care not to cut my cuticles back too far or anything. They both asked as they went if I was pleased with their work.
