I asked the guy standing by the register for one and he walked me over to them. The heavy duty one? he asked. No, I said, the light-duty version. He took it from the hanger and held it out toward me. Then I saw the price hanging right there in front of us both. SIX DOLLARS AND, LIKE, NINTY-SEVEN CENTS! For ONE?! (Disregard the website price, totally. In-store it's $6.97!) Wait, WHAT?! I told him there was NO WAY I would pay that much! and I left. I drove directly to a Home Depot. I bought TWO of them for $2.97 EACH! Even after taxes, I paid less for two than they wanted for just one and that's BEFORE taxes! On the drive back home, I promised myself I would NOT be installing one of those new switches until I first posted this review. Promise made, promise kept! Time to install my $2.97 switch now!

You can also get a warranty and usually there is a sale going on. The store is well lit and clean. No crap all in the aisle. And things are usually in stock. Customer service is very nice. I bought a 3 inch Korky toilet flapper for $17 for a Mansfield. It snaps on to the front, but a…read morevery small plastic piece broke off. I did not understand how the black rubber replacement piece fit on...but Korky Co. places a rubber connector to adjust size and probably when that plastic piece breaks off which the flapper swings from. I decided to go back and ask for a replacement flapper since the box says 5-year warranty. I explained to the guy I tried to put the flapper on carefully but the plastic piece broke off not knowing what the black rubber piece was for in the box or knowing how to use it. Shady, isn't it?? He was doing something else on his computer and seemingly did not want to be bothered. BTW.....It was 430pm and I was the only person in the store. I replied..."I didn't want to offend you by lying. I was respectfully being truthful with him because I've always been a loyal customer." I even asked him...."so are you saying I have to touch base with the Wisconsin based company to get a replacement?" He didn't respond. He looked stunned...because I questioned him. I then took a pass on buying the other flapper, left the store, and told him.....I'm going to light it up online. Hence this post. Monday came and i never heard from them, so I called Tuesday at 8am and spoke to Tom and told me my order was in. I verified my name and let him know we'd be in to pick it up by noon. After making the drive out there, we were told our product was sold to another customer who they "assumed"ordered it. They did not have or product marked and obviously did not check the name with the person who bought it. We were offered no compensation or guarantee that this would not occur again if we re-ordered. Basically we were told " oh well" by Tom. After 10 years of shopping here, crown feed has lost me as a customer. The way this was handled was incredibly unprofessional and unorganized. I will take my money to a more reliable company from this point on.
