Stopped here for breakfast on 6/20. Only gave it 4 stars because our waitress, and the guy i could see inside was not wearing a mask. The waitress tried to keep her distance, but your carrying my food out to us and breathing on it. Besides yoy wearing a mask is required. The food was really really good. Extremely terrible customer service My husband, children, and I watched as a customer was belittled by the owner when the customer was discussing a problem with the food and the bill. Not sure how this place is in business. Arrived at 11:05 and quickly ordered two iced teas and two chicken sandwiches. During our time there we never saw any food being served. There were two other tables (both with 4 people) that were seated when we arrived. They never received their food either. After 45 minutes and finally seeing a plate of pancakes waiting to be served we were curious if we were ever going to get served our lunch since it seemed they were still struggling to serve these two other tables breakfast. I'm pretty sure I can make eggs and pancakes faster. We called the waitress over and asked how much longer. She went behind the counter to look at some tickets returned and said "oh it's still going to be a while". We left. Can you imagine?? Mind you there were at least 5 workers, mostly standing around doing nothing. One woman stood behind the counter eating a muffin. A male worker was making a huge container of mayonnaise which took about 30 minutes. These people have no idea how to run a business. read more

Waitress was friendly but not attentive, never asked if everything was ok or if I needed anything. Chili was liquidy sweet tomato sauce with chunks of ground beef(?), corn kernels, tomato chunks and kidney beans floating in it, oh and it was served warm/ cold in spots. If it had tasted good I would have requested it be heated. Caprese Salad was slices of not awful/ not great tomatoes topped with grocery store hard, flavorless mozzarella topped with oil, balsamic and some salty unidentifiable flavor, no lettuce, no basil, no nothing. At checkout waitress did not ask how meal was. It was $14 and change. Just really disappointed read more

My Dad, My Sister, and My Niece stopped in for a quick lunch and meeting. It was great. The special board had a lot to choose from. We opted on Saturday for the Chicken with Bourbon Glaze and Cheese and Spinach Sandwich with Pasta Salad on the side. My Sister had the chef salad and was impressed. My Niece was happy that they serve breakfast all day that day anyway. It was wonderful because we had been in heated areas for a drive and a chat we all opted for waters, which usually we get sodas, but we were really thirsty for the water. It was nice and not rushed. Everything made fresh. Thanks for a wonderful meal! (I really don't know the owners at all but I do live in Hawley nearby and I have been there often enough to stand by that you can get a very good meal at a very decent price, made fresh to order with good service and kind attention.) We were looking for a breakfast/lunch place near the lake and agreed on Lake Wally. We were able to sit outside with our dog. The menu is bigger than it appears in the Yelp pictures, and everything is reasonably priced. The staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious. First time in months did I come across a place where they don't wear masks :| There were about 3-4 people behind the kitchen counter preparing the food - not a single one had a mask on them. The young lady at the counter did not have a mask on either and it made me nervous to even go place my order with her. An old man with a mask was behind us - I was hoping she would go grab a mask to put on before she took down his order - nothing. Not at all COVID friendly and everyone was shamelessly ignoring the rules. I am all for small businesses but not at the cost of other people's lives. Never going back. read more

Love the waitresses! Food good when the cooks get the order right, big man behind the register is rude to his staff and guests! Should not be in a place where he deals with people! It took over an hour to get our food, then the order was wrong, and the sandwich I ordered was on gluten free bread and it came out TINY! And I had to pay xtra for that! So when I nicely told him of our troubles his reply was " you can go eat at McDonald's...". Now we are regulars at this restaurant, and that was his reply... not I'm sorry for the Trouble today... and every time we go there he is so rude and mean to the people who work there and he does nothing but stand there and take money (sometimes).
