We were greeted and our order taken right away. Lots of selections for breakfast and lunch on the…read moremenu. Good coffee and the food is fresh & tasty! The coffee shop is rustic and is where all the silkworms lived for the historic Silk Mill next door. Outside seating available.

We came to Cocoon for a quick bite after visiting the shops in The Silk Mill. From what I…read moreunderstand, this building was the nursery for the silk worms back when the Silk Mill was an actual Silk Mill, thus the name "Cocoon". This area is rich with history, and to celebrate America's 250th anniversary, this site (right outside Cocoon) was chosen as one of the places in PA that would get a dedicated liberty bell replica. It is dedicated to the very young (mostly immigrant) women who worked in the Silk Mill and largely went unnoticed during their time. The staff at Cocoon was friendly. Their latte machine was out of service when we visited so we opted for smoothies. The smoothies were delicious, might be a little too sweet for some, but I enjoyed my Pina Colada flavor! I am not sure how "healthy" it was considering the vibrant flavor and sweetness, so if that is your goal I would suggest inquiring what goes into it to make sure it meets your needs. The Mac and cheese was exceptional, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his grilled cheese. He enjoyed both so much that throughout the rest of our time in the area, he kept mentioning them. I, however, was disappointed with my selection. I ordered the Caesar sandwich on focaccia. The menu mentioned "crispy chicken" and "romaine" but my chicken was completely "naked" and bland and a bit rubbery, and the "romaine" definitely looked like iceberg lettuce to me, it was yellow rather than green. The Caesar flavor did not come through. A few bites in I was completely grossed out and only ate half, I wouldn't have even eaten that much if it wasn't for the intention of keeping me sustained until our next meal. I would recommend they take this item off the menu, if it wasn't for my husband and son's amazing meal, I would have a very bad impression of their food menu.
