I don't even have the words to describe how beautiful this place is. I had never been anywhere near here. I found it kind of by accident, and it sounded like exactly what I was looking for. A peaceful retreat. When I say I have never in my life felt so peaceful.... that's hard-core. I take my peace very seriously, and rarely get it. From start to finish, the rental process was easy, we arrived pretty late at night and came "home" to a beautiful clean comfy place. You do have to be careful parking, so read everything they say! Our experience was amazing. The caretaker Allison is an absolute Gem of a person. She's so kind, and goes out of her way to make sure you have anything and everything and enjoying your stay. We couldn't have had a better experience for my bachelorette party. Mandi was beyond a pleasure to work with. The property was beautiful and had everything we could have needed. It was not easy to plan a 40 person bachelorette but Lakefront made the process smooth and easy. I am so grateful for our stay and will definitely be going back. Love at first visit! We rented the Water's Edge cabin at Lands End. What a great treasure! This is one of the few spots on Lake Nacimiento that is actually a lakefront property; just walk down the steps to the dock and hop in your boat. And the location is great - about mid-point - with spectular views of the lake, especially to the east. Lands End has 6 houses on the property but each is separate enough from the others so that you don't feel "on display". It's quiet, that's for sure, and Mandi was wonderful, accommodating and responds in a very timely manner. Located on the north side so make sure you stop by the grocerty store before arriving. Everything was clean and tidy; all appliances worked great. All in all, a wonderful trip that we look forward to repeating as often as possible. read more

We have visited 5 times over the past few years and always stayed at Lucia View and Woodpecker. Awesome spot in the winter and summer to get together with friends and family on Lake Naci! On-site management has always been super helpful with anything we've needed during our stay. Hard to find a lakeside resort in California so always worth the trip from SoCal! We have been to Lake Nacimiento many many times and have stayed at LandsEnd several times now with two families. Location is great. Each home feels private and has it's own unique charm and amenities, depending on your needs. Kitchens are very well stocked with all that you need for big family meals and bedrooms are comfortable. We love to gather on the big decks and enjoy our time together. Mandi has always been very accommodating with our bookings and understanding as we try to sort calendars for our annual visit. Such a fun vacation for watersports and enjoying the cool clear water. The stars at night are spectacular and we enjoying spotting the bald eagles and watching the cows mosey the hillsides. We don't fish but there are certainly plenty of fishermen out there enjoying their days. We will absolutely be back next summer! read more

What a great spot on a beautiful lake. There isn't a bad view from any of their properties. The home was perfect for our family and friends. The access to the dock was ideal for our group. It was large enough for us to hang out on and swim off when we weren't wake surfing. The property management folks were an absolute pleasure to work with. They accommodated us like we were family. This place rocks! Location location location! We had a blast. We used every inch of the lake and this property to its fullest. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked. The boat doc was close and convenient. The kids loved the paddle boards and kayaks. We enjoyed our morning coffee out on the porch while watching the amazing sunrises. The property manager Mandy is super sweet and very helpful. We had a couple small incidents, nothing to speak of, and she was right there ready to help. This place is my Hawaii!!! We are in love!!! Lakefront at LandsEnd is hands down our new favorite place for lake trips. We came with family and friends and all had our own houses. Our family of 3 stayed in the lower unit of the main house and it was great. Excellent A/C, clean, large outdoor deck, stocked kitchen supplies, good water pressure in shower. I probably called/texted Mandi at least six times leading up to the trip. She was amazing and ALWAYS so helpful. By the time we got there I felt like she was a friend. I am submitting my second review as this is now our new family "favorite" vacation for water activities. It is removed enough to feel like a lake vacation yet all the cabin comforts at the end of the hot day on the lake. This year we stayed at Woodpecker house with 6 people and we loved it and really loved the large outdoor deck. We also really appreciate that Nate and Mandi are on site for any issues and questions particularly because around the lake there is very little commercial activity or stops. We will be back next year for sure! read more

My husband and I took our twin 11 year old boys to the Lakefront at LandsEnd for the 4th of July weekend and had the BEST TIME! We could not have had a better time...no one wanted to leave after 3 nights. We could have stayed weeks! We waterskiied, had a blast wake boarding and the boys loved tubing. We had our own private dock and we paddleboarded and kayaked to the island. The water was warm and we spent the entire day on the 4th on the lake and in a cove with other families celebrating. They have thought of everything in the house..from the wifi to fun current movies for the family to the comfortable new beds and fully stocked kitchen. The place is immaculate and freshly painted with new carpet. I felt like we were the first people to ever use it! The deck was incredible and we ate most meals outside, because it was just so beautiful. The hammock is perfect for napping and hanging out too. We even bbqed and had smores on the firepit in the evening. Even the drive here was fun. We stopped in San Luis Obispo for dinner and there was a street market we found out they have on Thursdays. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back! read more

Lake Nacimiento Gem! What a great experience we had at this house, Sunset Cover #3! We had a ton of questions about the property and lake conditions before booking, all were answered but most importantly all were answered correctly!! There were two family's, 8 people total. There was plenty of room for us. Nate and Mark (caretakers) were there to answer any questions we had or help with anything we needed. We brought our own boat, the lake was low as we expected but there was still plenty of water to have fun tubing, wakeboarding and wake surfing. The only regret we had was we didn't stay longer! We look forward to returning to this property in the future!!! read more

Lakefront is a great place to stay--The Boathouse rental was lovely and clean :). LOVE the inspirational sayings throughout :) Mandy and Nate were great helpful sight hosts. The lake, the weather, the fun all top notch--Our 1 star minus is to allow guests to park/launch their trailers/watercraft-- Marina is costly/& far and there seemed to be ample space at property esp. during high water. Stayed here over the weekend (4 great days), so peaceful and just beautiful !! The kids ages 13 and 14, both girls, got to be kids! Paddle board , jumping in the lake, boating, on the raft , and just experiencing nature. They actually put their phones down! It was just wonderful we usually go to Havasu but this was so more calm and a lot of families ! We will be back to lands end, beds were comfy, had s'mores and even Paso wine ! I can't wait to go again , next time longer take the bikes and explore the town more ! read more

Clean place, beautiful view. A little bit of a walk down to the dock, but it was pretty cool. Community vessels were down at the dock , with shade. Big bbq pit available as well as gas grill. It wasn't cheap, but it was a really great experience. When we come back , we are coming back here. read more

It was mid December and I desperately needed a break from the city. Fully aware of the low lake levels and even lower lake temps this was a last minute getaway that I was extremely reluctant to follow thru with. As such, my expectations were certainly tempered when I decided to "throw caution to the wind" as it were and book my dates. Thankfully, it wasn't long before these expectations were surpassed. From the moment we drove through the large green iron entry gate my initial apprehensions were continually offset by the shear majesty, extreme serenity and welcoming "feels like home" quality of the private lakeside lodgings. Great location if you like privacy, deep water even in low water conditions right off the rental units. I would stay there again. Owner was very accessible with answering questions. Great views. You need to bring plenty of food and drinks to stock up on because you are 25 minutes away from closest market. Our unit had a separate freezer which was great for storing large bags of ice to take down to the dock and boat. Highly recommend this area!! read more

This place is great! We stayed in the Lucia View House. It's rustic, woodsy, clean and comfortable. I love the large windows in the living room and kitchen, providing an amazing view of the lake. It has an older kitchen but it's spacious and with all the basics needed for cooking. It has a cabin feel with the luxury of having TV and wifi, on the few occasions that we chose to do that. We took advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards that are available on the property and totally enjoyed being surrounded by nature. Great find! We will definitely be back. read more

We had a blast! We stayed in unit #1 (main house) with 9 people in total and it was perfect. The lake level was high so the dock was only a small walk down the hill. The house accommodated 9 people very comfortably. The caretakers (Mandi and Nate) on property were awesome, super friendly and helpful, while also giving you your space. The location on the lake is excellent, towards the middle of the lake but not to far from the marina for gas and supplies. The house was clean and the deck had an awesome view of the water. We loved this house! It was very cute, nicely decorated and the large deck overlooking the lake was to die for. This house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. The care takers on the property were very helpful and nice. The private docks on the property were a real plus and we loved having the kayaks and paddle boards to use too. The administrative side was also well organized and we knew exactly what to expect prior to arriving. We have family in the area so we will definitely be back again and again! read more

My entire family (50 of us ranging in age from 3 to 75) stayed in all 6 houses for a family reunion. We absolutely loved the ability to rent all 6 homes and play together on the lake during the day, but have our own spaces to go to in the evening or to just get away for a bit. Every house had a fabulous, huge deck with a great view of the lake. All the houses were well stocked and the AIR CONDITIONING was a godsend. The kayaks and paddleboards were a great bonus!! Mandi and the crew were responsive and wonderful throughout the stay. I do agree with the other reviews that we should have been able to launch the watercraft from the property and to also keep the trailers there. Because we had all 6 houses, there wasn't anyone we would have inconvenienced. The $280 trailer parking fees (for two trailers for 4 days) PLUS the 1/2 hour drive to reach the marina were unreasonable in light of how much we paid for the houses. This was especially difficult when we had a disabled boat we had to get out of the water. I'd also add that the property is very hilly with lots of dirt and rocks. Be careful with little ones exploring, or even the adults not watching closely where they are walking. It can be treacherous at times. In the afternoons, using the docks to swim and play can be a bit dangerous as the waves can be large and can push you into the dock if not careful. Our kids (even teenagers) used life jackets the entire time, we always had an adult on duty watching and everyone had a blast. Despite those challenges, I gave 5 stars because there is no other property in California that I have found like this. There were no bugs, although it was hot during the day, the water was refreshing and the temperature nicely cooled off in the evening. It was just spectacular at night, especially when the moon came out. Also, when any concern or question was posed, Mandi was quick and thoughtful in her responses. And, most importantly, every member of my family had an absolutely amazing time. Thank you Lands End Team!!! read more

This place is exactly as described and is clean, secluded and has everything you need. The cabin/houses have amazing views and are well taken care of. The private docks are assigned and you only share with one other unit so no problems when bringing your boat in/out. Your slot is always open. My group wanted to celebrate my cousin's birthday before he left to go back to the Philippines. For what seemed like forever, we looked for homes near Monterey bay because he was going to go sky diving too. On the week of his birthday, the adventure gods were on our favor and led me to find this property. It's in the middle of nowhere and the sky dive spot was 2 hours away. After looking at the pictures, and especially after speaking with Steve (one of the owners), we thought, "what the heck?" The drive was worth it. It was, and I quote my cousin, "the best weekend of my life." I've rented a lot of homes for vacation, and I have to say, this has been the easiest booking I've done. Communication was excellent (within minutes, at any time of day), and the lake-oh my gosh. The sunset and sunrise views were spectacular-one of the best I've seen. Like I said, it's in the middle of nowhere, and I have never heard of it (just saw it on the VRBO map), more people need to know about this lake. The property itself is very serene and well-kept. Our stay was perfect-what more can I say? I would DEFINITELY go back in a heartbeat. read more
