The location of the Inn was just what we were looking for! QUIET! At the end of the quaint, Moonstone beach Dr. We were given an upgrade to the Gale unit, which is ocean front. We enjoyed our stay immensely! Took full advantage of the Adirondack chairs with an ocean view.

    Outdoor area and breakfast area.

This place is amazing! The location is superb, the linens were good quality and the owner was easy to communicate and accommodating. I will definitely go back and told all my friends about it.

We had an amazing Stay at Windrush Inn. The views were spectacular & grounds were beautiful with all different types of succulents & flowers! We got sunshine every morning and beautiful sunsets even though it's supposed to storm the entire time. You could hear the ocean from the room, which was so nice to fall asleep to. Plenty of extra blankets and towels for your pets. Mike made it very easy to accommodate all our needs & upgraded me to the fabulous Gale suite w someone canceling last minute. He was quick to respond with emails & invoices. Also, it was contactless and key code entry. Thank you Mike for Everything We appreciate you and the Windrush Inn. We'll definitely be back & will be telling our friends & Family

Beautiful and remote, the beach is right in front of you and the forest is right behind. This inn sits at the end of a row of beachfront inns. You lose phone signal about 8 miles south of the Moonstone Beach, but it's fine, the heck with social media flexing, try to spot the Pacific hiding just on the other side of the road. There is no phone in the unit, but when you arrive, you can connect to the complimentary Wi-Fi to let your loved ones know you made it safe, or you can use the lack of signal as an excuse to not check in at all and tuck your phone into one of the many drawers provided. This place is freshly remodeled, but the location is everything. You can sit and have your morning coffee from the Keurig on the bench outside your unit or walk directly across the road to the oceanfront boardwalk where I alternated between sitting on the little wooden bench and walking the path, watching the waves and kayakers all the way. The local walkers and pooches were very friendly. I think there was only one group of people that did not say hi, and they were actively lamenting having to say good morning to everyone they passed. I stayed in Unit Bay, a spacious studio perfect for two with a big TV and a tiny dining table. There is a Keurig, two mugs, and a handful of Pike Roast Keurigs cups waiting for you in the morning. Our unit had a mini fridge with an ice tray (I could not locate a drinking fountain and there were no complimentary waters, so I i filled the tray with a bottle of water I brought with me). There are big windows that have blackout blinds. It was very dark in the morning with the blinds closed and luxurious bright when opened. The lighting fixtures are extremely bright, but the night-light system throughout the inn is clever and so gentle lights follow you as you walk from your car to the inn. The bathroom was nice, newly remodeled with a waterfall showerhead complete with handheld showerhead. The showerhead was a bit big for the water pressure, but throughout the day and night the water was hot and the bathroom was clean and fully functional. They have the fan on the bathroom set to "always on" to assist with humidity. Mike, the manager, stocks Neutrogena shampoo and conditioner, which I was grateful for as I'd forgotten my toiletries in Los Angeles. I love Neutrogena. Their products work for all different types of hair and scalps, including my coily hair and my partner's sensitive psoriasis prone scalp. For once, I was excited to use hotel shampoo and conditioner. They have an iron and ironing board in the unit as well as complimentary beach towels waiting at the door. There was an extra comforter already stocked and I think I saw an air mattress in the closet? I could be mistaken. There are also black towels for makeup. There was napkin and towel art within the bathroom and I love these little thoughtful touches that show pride in management and ownership. Mike was attentive and responsive, check-in is at 3pm, but even when we arrived at 10pm he was gracious and accommodating. Because we arrived so late, I asked for a late checkout. Note that they do not offer late checkout, but instead Mike asked housekeeping to service our room last and bought us another 2 hours of time to get ready. There was honestly no need, it was so peaceful that we got out of there well before 12:30 rested and rejuvenated by the peaceful room and scenery. Per Mike's request, I have provided him with feedback directly about a few things and he was very receptive. I am so grateful to have found this place. It is an oasis for those of us craving to unplug. TLDR: Check In 3pm Check out 11am No phone in unit PROs: Location: Directly across from the ocean Large unit size Beach towels Neutrogena hair products Large Smart TV Keurig in-unit Bench on porch No upstairs neighbors Responsive host Remote and private Blackout accordion blinds Friendly locals with doggies CONs: Low water pressure No phone signal Only sink water Blinding bright lights

Newly and extensively renovated - Windrush Inn is an amazing stay with views you will long for. We were fortunate to spend 2 nights at the main Harbor house and had tours of the other available units including, Bay unit, Cove unit and the ADA unit, Gale. Harbor features 2 bedrooms with king beds and 2 fold-out sofas, a full kitchen, private baths close walk to Moonstone Beach and local restaurants. The 3 units (Bay, Cove, Gale) each have a private bath, mini-fridge, microwave and Keurig. Beach towels provided for duration of our stay. Did I mention the view? Grab a bottle of your favorite libation or non-alcoholic drink and soak in the glow of the sunlit Pacific. Please note, Windrush Inn is not a bed and breakfast. Well lit parking lot. Family and dog friendly, this is a non-smoking property. Our host, Mike was available for any questions we had.

The perfect idyllic getaway, a prescription strength oceanic retreat. The Windrush Inn captivates, its views of Moonstone Beach sunsets , otters, pelicans , herons and even evening deer absolutely amaze. Top tier comfort, all the amenities , spotless, clean with beautifully designed interiors. Whether you are pushing on up North and need a place to relax,or aiming directly at Cambria (us always ) or exploring nearby- you won't find a more glimmering refuge to land and escape. The only downside to the Windrush Inn, is that you have to eventually leave. Impeccable attention to detail and great communication from hosts . A top tier stay in every way!

The property was clean, with great accessibility. The booking process was straightforward with easy keypad access to our room. The property has direct access to the ADA beach boardwalk trail. We enjoyed several walks, taking in the full beauty of the central coast.

Comfort and coziness with Moonstone Beach in your front yard- Two smaller Inn rooms (Units B and C) and a ROOMY house with glass front facing the beach- Great Host! Easy booking, laid back and best value on the beach - soooo wonderful- I'll be back!

LOVE the Aesop products in the room!!! a few downside during my stay were: the few times i went to the front desk, the "out of office" sign was up each time. i wanted to rent a bike to bike around the town, no one was around to assist. i waited about 10-15m each time. they have a fire pit that was on the entire time. i heard they provide s'more kits, but we were not provided with any. there isnt really any pet relief area on site. also, all units do not have AC, only fans. i had no service while i was there. i literally was on SOS. i actually loved it. don't worry, there is wifi avail! i would def book white water again!

This property is owned by a company that owns at least four other properties on Moonstone Beach, and shares with them poor customer service. Examples from a recent stay include Wi-Fi that was frequently nonfunctional, and when complaints were made, we were told either that the problem couldn't be fixed, or couldn't be fixed until the next day because no maintenance staff were available. The rooms, lack decor and character, although the bed was very comfortable. When we asked that the waste baskets be emptied at the beginning of the day, we were told that since we did not make that request the night before, it could not be accommodated because of insufficient custodial staff. When I made this request to the manager on duty, she gave me a look as though I had asked her to donate a kidney. We emptied the baskets ourselves. The property has two fire pits, both of which were essentially nonfunctional. Also, the pool was closed. When they ran our credit card on check-in, they actually immediately charged the entire fee for the stay at once. This is an unusual practice, since most similar properties assess the actual charges for the room at checkout. If you were looking for a place to sleep, steps away from the boardwalk on Moonstone Beach, this will fit the bill, but there are a number of better options steps away from this property.

Before our arrival we were given a code to enter the living space and our room, so it was very convenient to have such an easy check-in with no hassle. Plus was a warm welcome from Nana, the Inn's pet cat. She was really cute and friendly. The room itself was cozy and patios enough for the two of us. The room was spotless clean and loved how spacious the bathroom was, and how comfortable the bed was as well. As far as the complimentary breakfast we received. It was okay. It was a quiche, yogurt with fruit, a muffin, sausages, and orange juice, on both days. It was left by our door around 9 am the two days we were there. Now, for the negatives. Parking spaces are limited and each room doesn't have a guaranteed parking spot. They have misleading information on their website. If you come back after 8 pm, forget about finding parking there. You will need to park in Cambria Inn, their sister property, and walk up a very dark and dangerous road back up to the Inn, which is unsafe! When I let their Inn know about this parking situation, the night before, I couldn't reach anyone after 8 pm, so I was told to call Cambria Inn. The person who picked up was extremely rude, and told me to park anywhere there was parking, after I explained there were no spots available. Finally we ended up parking at the Cambria Inn. The next day, I let the J. Patrick house know about this parking situation and someone over text got super defensive and was trying to send me screenshots of there being parking, when clearly there was none when we arrived, and kept arguing with me about it, which left a really bad taste in my mouth, and in stress I ended up leaving my super expensive jacket, which I still haven't heard about from the Inn. It's unfortunate that this situation happened because I was really hoping that we would have a better ending to a special weekend! I will not be coming back here again!

The room itself had a comfortable shabby chic vibe. Despite facing the road, we were not troubled by street or parking noise. It came with a basic instant hot water maker and teabags and instant coffee bags with sugar and creamer. The refrigerator was an adequate mini fridge but disappointingly did not have a freezer. The bathroom and spacious shower were nice as expected and there was no shortage of towels and towel hooks. Our room had an ocean view and connected to an open-ground level patio with reserved chairs facing Moonstone Beach. We were greeted at the front desk with the bad news that the swimming pool was out of order. The staff were polite and responsive to questions including an issue with a clogged shampoo dispenser via text or in person, which was appreciated.
