At check in nothing was said to me about a change in the room but we walked into an ADA compliant room with two queen beds. I called the front desk to see if we could switch rooms and they said they were fully booked and due to unforeseen last minute changes and due to me booking through a third party site, they had to switch our room type. I said it would have been nice to know about the change prior to checking in and I was told that they wouldn't want to cancel my reservation and have us looking for a different hotel (well of course they don't want that... but I do?!?) The person I spoke with said he'd have his manager contact me to see if anything more could be done but I never heard anything from them again. Additionally frustrating was that a friend stayed the same night at Springhill; she booked the room a day after me and had wanted two queen beds but as that was unavailable, she booked a single king. She checked in around 10pm, three hours after we checked in, and was given a non ADA king room (which had apparently been unavailable for me three hours earlier?) The hotel has a heated pool and a decent breakfast spread. Everything was clean; the bed was not very comfortable but exactly what you'd expect from a hotel like Springhill. Parking is both free and easy. The rooms don't have safes which was a first for me. The hotel gym is good, has at least a couple ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, and free weights. Towels and water is available in the gym, though no wipes or disinfectant were around. Overall the hotel was average but disappointing in the room change and in the way it (wasn't) handled.

Date of stay: April 28, 2026 Time of incident: Approximately…read more8:00 AM Location: Breakfast area, Home2 Suites by Hilton Atascadero I want to share both positive feedback and a concern regarding the breakfast service during my stay. First, I was genuinely impressed to see Hilton offering non‑toxic toiletries, free‑range eggs, and nitrite‑free bacon. As someone who normally travels with my own non‑toxic products, it was refreshing not to have to do that. These healthier options are noticed and appreciated. However, the breakfast service itself fell short of Hilton's standards. When I asked the male staff member with reddish‑brown hair for full‑fat milk and honey for my coffee, he directed me to the coffee station. Unfortunately, the only options available were low‑fat milk and processed tiny plastic creamers, no stevia and both honey bottles were completely empty. I checked again when I returned for a second cup of coffee, assuming the honey would have been refilled by then. It had not. After 45 minutes, both bottles were still empty. I attempted to place one of the empty bottles on the counter behind the serving trays so staff would notice it, but because it was sticky, it stuck to my finger and fell to the floor. A few minutes later, from about 40 feet away, the same staff member loudly called out to me in a chastising tone, holding up the bottle and asking if I had "thrown it behind the counter." I explained that I was trying to get his attention because both honey containers had been empty for nearly an hour, and several guests were waiting for them to be refilled while their breakfasts cooled. Instead of acknowledging the oversight or offering an apology, he continued speaking to me in an accusatory manner. This interaction was unnecessary and unprofessional. Had he been monitoring the breakfast station and replenishing items proactively, none of this would have occurred. Suggestions for improvement: * Ensure breakfast staff regularly check and refill items, especially basics like honey, milk, and cream. * Consider offering organic full‑fat milk, half‑and‑half, or cream, which many guests prefer. * Provide staff training on guest interaction, tone, and proactive service. A simple acknowledgment and quick refill would have resolved the issue immediately. I appreciate Hilton's efforts to elevate the quality of ingredients offered. With more attentive service and better communication from staff, the guest experience would match the quality of the food. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

Our deepest apologies to Lisa and Rob that this review is so overdue…read more I found Kindred Oak Farm by perusing the internet, it looked absolutely stunning. I called to make a reservation and spoke to the owner, Lisa. She was so warm, accommodating, and helpful-when I hung up the phone, I said I could be friends with that gal. When my husband and I arrived we were greeted by the friendliest, most beautiful, Great Pyranese brother and sister duo, Auggie & Gigi. Then, we met Lisa. She was so welcoming to us and so beautiful inside and out. She explained everything to us, showed us our spectacular room, Adelaide, that was full of upscale amenities. The entire room and bath area was amazing. The grand fireplace, the bathtub for two, the linens on the bed, the fabulous bottle of wine-I could go on. Even the coffee was from a local, organic coffee maker. Now let's get to the three-course breakfast we were served everyday of our four-day stay. We felt like we were at a three-star Michelin restaurant that included incredible homemade juices by Lisa. Each course was so presented so elegantly, but also in an atmosphere that made you feel right at home. Of course we went wine tasting. Lisa and Rob (Lisa's husband and co-owner) recommended wonderful wineries that we went to, and we were very pleased. Everywhere we went I had to tell them where we were staying and how beautiful and relaxing the B&B was. Back on our first morning there, Rob had taken us for a tour of the farm where we saw the game room, wedding area, the vineyard, and my favorite-the beautiful highlander cattle. Such an experience-no wonder Lisa and Rob are so happy there. Also, an honorable mention goes out to Little Girl, their precious kitty. We will definitely be back and have told all of our friends about this heaven on earth B&B. Thank you, Lisa and Rob, for making my birthday a wonderful memory!

Lisa went above and beyond to make our stay very special -- engaging our toddler in little farm activities, giving us personalized recommendations for things to do in the area, and making us feel right at home. Kindred Oak Farm was absolutely memorable and I'd recommend this special place to anyone looking for a luxurious yet cozy getaway.

This has been the only hotel that charges a parking fee. The ones closer to downtown doesn't even charge anything. It took me a while to set up pay to park, which was not fun after a long day of work. My 1st night I amlost fell on toilet because they are super low. They are elementary school sized toilets. As someone else mentioned, the big gap underneath the door makes it easier to hear everyone. The 1st night I heard some lady have a long conversation at 11 pm and on. My last day, someone's phone vibrated at 5am, 5:15 and 5:30am and I thought it was my phone bc of the thin walls. That person also had a full on conversation with his partner, so needless to say I gave up on sleeping until 730 am. Another thing I didn't like is the lack of black out curtains. So the sunrise would wake me up the first couple more nights. Room does have a nice size and I like how it has a desk. Wish there was a light switch to turn on more lights in the room, instead of individually flipping on all the lights. Other amenities they offer are free breakfast, mini gym and computer to do office or emails. I had stomach issues 2 days in a row from their breakfast so I started to stick with fruits and coffee for breakfast. I'm pretty sure the yogurt gave me issues because it's just yogurt on an ice pack on the bottom vs other places having yogurt in the fridgator or some container that looks like it stays cooler. The gym had a couple treadmills, free weights, kettle bells, the jumping box thingy, and a thing that looks like a bow flex. I personally would not book this place ever again due to paying to park, not having to have good sleep due to thin walls and gap underneath the door and the food giving me stomach issues. But I will say staff is friendly tho!

While the word motel has certain perceptions attached to it, farmhouse is in actuality a bright, modern, and very aesthetically pleasing hotel with wonderful amenities. Prices can be average to above average depending on the time of the year, but we were able to use some credit card points to save even further. I'd say the stay is worth the baseline price, though. We got the standard king bed room. Each room has its own little patio, and a shared fire pit nearby. The room was spacious, clean, and the color palate is a dream. The bathroom amenities were standard. It's a room you wouldn't mind doing a staycation in. The service is wonderful. There is a front desk for easy check in, and the host was available via text if we needed anything ( at one point we needed more tissues and she brought it within minutes). They also offer free rosé upon arrival and free pastries and fruit/coffee during breakfast. The location is not exactly in downtown but it's a 15 min walk or a 5 min drive to the park/square. The front desk closes at 10p but the desk reminds you every evening. One of the best things? It honestly made me wonder--if this is what they provide for guests with disabilities, that's concerning. The shower knob was broken, there was an old leather jacket left in the closet, and there was barely any countertop space in the bathroom. Along with several other minor issues, it was clear the room hadn't been properly checked or cleaned. To their credit, the staff was friendly and quickly moved me to another room, which I appreciated. That said, for a hotel of this caliber, you'd expect at least complimentary coffee--but there wasn't any. They do have a restaurant that opens at 7:00 AM, but when I arrived right at 7:00, it wasn't open. An employee mentioned the staff was running late--it was already 7:10 AM by then. Not a great look. In the evening the fireplaces are burning with hardwood every night and they offer fresh made s'mores to hotel guests. There's actually a s'mores menu. The whole environment is almost like something from a movie. They've also got a wonderful library that is tastefully appointed with many wonderful and interesting different books to read. It definitely invites you to sit down and snuggle by the fire with a good book. Such a cozy feeling! You can also select some candy for a snack. The rooms themselves are also beautiful and the bedding looks nice. Though I will say for me personally the pillows were really uncomfortable, and they had a rough spun duvet which smelled musty on the inside like it hadn't been washed in quite awhile. It looked and smelled like they were washing the sheets and the blanket but not the duvet itself. They also offer breakfast in the morning, but it's a little bit later than some other places so if you have to get an early start, then you probably won't be able to catch it. Overall I really enjoyed the stay and would say this experience is really good for the boutique traveler that is looking for a peaceful, unhurried trip.
