They sent me a passenger side camera and they won't return it since I've loss the packaging. Now I'm stuck here two hundred down the drain. Never again dealing with these guys. I just hate the fact that it was their fault in the first place and now I gotta eat the loss. To tell me you can't check your inventory to see your own mistakes (you would have a missing item in your inventory for sending me the wrong part) already tells me this is a shady place that does shady practices. I bought a new truck from Lakeland Ford and here's what happened. The thing that you guys promote is that Lakeland Ford Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! didnt happen in my case I specifically asked for the following accessories would need to be on the vehicle, memory seats, cooling seats and adaptive cruise control. The vehicle that they brought up to the front didnt have any of the features I asked for. I did ask about the cooling seats and I was explained to that cooling wasnt available in any of the models so I accepted that. As far as the other features which were the memory seats and the adaptive cruise control I assumed that they were on the vehicle it wasnt until I was investigating how to make it work did I find out that they were not on the vehicle. The motto Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! Did not apply to me I guess that I was a special customer because I was told that I wouldnt of qualified for the model that would have these options so I just have to deal with it again the motto Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! Doesnt apply to me. I dont understand why I wasnt shown a model that had the options I wanted!! It was explained to me after (NOT BEFORE like it should have been) that I wouldnt have qualified for the vehicle. My question is WHY the vehicle with the options wasnt shown to me and then if I didnt qualify for the vehicle then we would have to drop some of our wants. Again the motto Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! Didnt apply to me!! I am a disabled veteran and I need the adaptive cruise control to drive on I-4 with all the starts and stops I am not going to be able to take I-4 to the VA hospital and will have to take the back way adding to my trip. You expect to have ALL of that honored, right? To bad. Prepare to have your time wasted and leave mad. I contacted Lakeland Ford, after spending a significant amount of time researching the vehicle we wanted. I found numerous Dealerships with the exact vehicle that had competitive pricing. Lakeland Ford had the highest price of every dealer in central Florida. However, they have been our dealer and servicer since we purchased our Flex in 2013. Although admittedly, our original purchase was a headache too. I wanted to reach out to them and see if they would match those competitor prices. I was contacted by Julian via text. Of note, I specifically and repeatedly communicated that text and/or email were my preferred contact, due to disability. My first clue that this may not be a great experience is when they insisted a phone call was needed. So, we had a relay call with Frank. Ended up having to commit to an in-person visit. That brought me to Saturday's events. We went in with pre-approved financing, clear competitor pricing for them to match, Military code, etc. I basically had everything ready to walk out with the vehicle. They simply had to follow through on their price match guarantee and fulfill the terms already discussed. Needless to say, everything was a ploy to get us in the dealership. Frank passed us off to someone else, MC Cortes. The short version was he came back with a price thousands above what I was led to believe it would be. When I asked if they would match the competitor prices, he flat out said no, they don't do that. There you go folks. Blatantly violating their posted policy. In violation of Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA). More specifically Title XXXIII §501.204 and for acts against seniors and the disabled §501.2077. **edited to clarify. The vehicle price match was an EXACT vehicle match, EXACT. Exact msrp, exact model, trim, etc. Every other Ford dealer is doing 3k-4k dealer discounts because it's November. This isn't my first rodeo. The fact is their employees purposely misled, wrangled us to come in person, knowing exactly what was expected and infered would be easily achieved. All this to two vulnerable individuals is despicable. After being customers for over a decade, I'd expect an apology not digging in their heals to attempt to discredit us. First I've had several interactions with this dealership and they have not been good. First, the finance guy, Chris, lied to me when purchasing my used vehicle and extended warranty, unfortunately I didn't get it in writing so my bad. When I purchased the extended warranty he verbally said to me, "If anything happens you are covered for the first year." He lied. The first thing that went wrong was an emissions code and they said you are not covered. Recently 5/7/26 I took my car for the last free oil change and I also had the AC checked; it has made a noise every since I bought it; I was told by the service guy (I won't name him) that it was covered under my warranty. I scheduled an appt and dropped it off, but when they contacted me they said, well, it's not covered. I feel this company has done a bait and switch. They offered me a 15% discount, but that's a joke, they should do the right thing and at least cover the labor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND you purchase a vehicle from this dealership, especially if you are a woman. They also charged me $1,400 for reconditioning, but when I had my oil changed they advised me my battery is starting to split and I need new tires. What did they recondition??? Normal items would be battery, tires, wiper blades, etc. I don't feel they reconditioned anything. I regret trading in my vehicle!!! I was looking for a very particular Mach-E that was no available anywhere. I was able to locate one in transit to Lakeland Ford. I contacted the dealer online and I was promptly contacted by salesman Manny Goveo. Manny was a pleasure to work with from our first phone exchange. He quickly got me estimated pricing on my lease, and helped me with a deposit on the vehicle. When the vehicle finally arrived, Manny was very quick to contact me to let me know it was finally there! I had to travel about 4 hours to get to the dealer, and Manny had the vehicle fully charged and ready when I arrived. Manny was enthusiastic about the vehicle and you could tell that he truly enjoys his job. Our finance manager Lance was quick and efficient with the paperwork and we were off with our new car in no time. For the first time ever, in my many car buying experiences, I did not feel pressured or rushed to buy this vehicle. Finally, a car dealership without the "shark" experience. I saw many customers walk-in for service or looking for a vehicle and their experience was similar to mine - they were warmly welcomed and customer service was friendly. You know what I loathe more than anything? Purchasing a vehicle! Today was further example of why I feel this way...Lakeland Ford, Justin W. This is for you... I would not recommend doing business with this dealership. I submitted my capital one pre-approval on Wednesday, 7/30/25 to them for a specific vehicle for my daughter. They responded promptly and asked if I could come in the following morning, I said we could be there. Then they texted me and stated that the vehicle wouldn't be ready until Friday afternoon, so we agreed upon 2pm. I later (Thursday morning) asked for pictures which they sent and then they asked if I had received them and if I still planned to come in the next day to which I said yes, we will be there. Friday morning (8/1/25), I received another text confirming our appt to which I replied yes that we would be there between 1:45-2pm. Around 12:15pm-I received a text message (calling me by the wrong name I might add) from the salesman, Justin asking if I could come in earlier because there was another salesman working a deal on the vehicle we were coming in to purchase. I texted back and said the soonest I could get there would be 1:30. He said okay to which I replied, "I thought this vehicle wasn't going to be available to view until the afternoon which is why we made our appt at 2". He texted back he wasn't sure why someone told me that. We promptly drove the 30 minutes to the dealership. We got out next to the vehicle we had planned to purchase and went to find our salesman that we had been corresponding with...we met and he took us through the winding office there to the last office and said he needed to check the status of the vehicle. He comes back and proceeds to tell my daughter and I that the vehicle is in final paperwork and is sold. Then asks if there is another car I was interested in. I said, no thank you and told him that it was pretty bad business to set an appt up with a pre-approved customer and then sell the exact vehicle that we were interested in purchasing. I live approximately 250 miles away from this deaIership. I found a new 2025 Ranger Raptor online at LakeLand for MSRP. After speaking with the manager, Justin Bowling, he agreeded to sell me the vehicle at the MSRP price even though he said it was a mistake. Everything was completed on-line while I was at work (Law enforcement). When the paperwork was completed and sent to me, I later noticed that they had marked up the vehicle $4,000.00 over MSRP. What makes matters worse, when I picked up the vehicle, there was damage on the right rear door. I obtained in writting that they would pay for the repair. The 1st estimate was for over $1,200.00 from Autonation Ford. The 2nd estimate was for $700.00 from an outside company. Justin Bowling with Garrison Stinnett agreed to reimburse me. I had the repair completed with the less expensive estimate and sent them the invoice with pictures. I am now getting the runaround and they haven't reimbursed me for the repair. It has been over 3 weeks. Justin Bowling 1st appeared to be nice and was quick on the emails when inquiring about the reimbursement. He advised he sent a check out then told me a week later he sent another check. Now they are flat out ignoring me. Had I known they were going to treat me like this and flat out rip me off, I would have never purchased a vehicle from them. I will now be filing a complaint with Ford and the attorney general's office for deceptive business practices. It is a shame that it has to come down to this. It is one thing to switch the price of a vehicle which I should have caught but it is another thing to authorize a repair then stick me with the expense. read more

Started with some guy named Johnathan telling me he's going to get me the prices and never got me the prices or answered a single question with a straight answer, then some guy named Gerrick who kept telling me that they couldn't get my credit report, then had a manager explain that they actually couldn't find a lender after waiting all day for a call back that never happened, as if Gerrick didn't want to tell me that he could find a lender. I don't know why he was so reluctant to tell me that and felt it necessary to lie to me. Something tells me it was a fake listing anyway and reviews on the BBB show that they are scammers that are willing to forge signatures apparently, so I wouldn't put something so common past them. Inquired on a slightly used truck with low miles and performance features that I was distinctly looking for that was for sale at the dealership. Worked out some of the numbers on phone before making a 2.5 Hour drive. Arrived only to see a large dent on the tailgate that was not disclosed online or from the videos that were sent to me from the salesman, congrats on getting me in the door and setting me off. They explained that the repair would be $4000 which is why they would not fix it . It also explains why they reduced the price $6000 in two months which they advertised as "Dealer Discount" and would not negotiate a further discount. In addition to that, they were charging a $2000 "re-conditioning fee" for parts that were not replaced on the vehicle. Still had factory air cleaner and cabin filter even though they were charged on recon statement. After 2.5 Hour drive I left in 15 minutes. 10 minutes later, they called me because they felt bad I drove so far only to say they would take $800 off of reconditioning fee which essentially is an inflated number on parts that were not installed in the first place. I have a serious complaint regarding the handling of a potential vehicle purchase. On Sunday, I spent hours negotiating with a sales representative and reached a firm price agreement. I clearly stated that I was a cash buyer and would need a few days to transfer funds, offering a deposit. Despite their initial 'no-hold' policy, I kept in close contact with the sales rep to show my good faith in purchasing the vehicle. By Tuesday morning, the funds were available. I was told the vehicle was being detailed, given a pickup time, and requested to get insurance on that Tuesday. That pickup was then pushed to Wednesday because a particular manager was not available on Tuesday, and a time was set for Wednesday. Hours later on Tuesday, I received a call from the sales rep informing me the vehicle had been sold to another customer. This sequence of events is unprofessional. I had a broken actuator in my 2013 Ford Flex and the hatch would not open. My husband was unable to find the part. I called to verify stock and was told to create the order online so my Credit Card number was secure but to call back with the Order #. Once I called back the rep stated he would release the order & that it should ship that day or the next. I was so pleased when it actually delivered the following day! Day 2: patience isn't something people have but they sure do. Usually codes are deleted to make the system know a part has been serviced or cleared but when it came up again. we had brought the vehicle back for service and the only parts of the EVAC system that could be at fault were checked and corrected. They were able to handle the situation professionally and helped out as much as they possible could. Good businesses are hard to come by now a days along with great service and they handled the situation professionally and did not stop lending a hand until the service was complete and the vehicle was 100% ready and safe to be on the roads again. Day 1: Had a problem with my girlfriends car. Paid them $160 to do a scan and another $700 for them to fix the problem... the next day the same code pops up, problem was never fixed, they think we don't know what they did.. they replaced a couple parts they thought would fix the problem but all they did was delete the code.... read more

Took vehicle in for popping & grinding noise coming from rear. Was told that's normal for that type of vehicle. I'm smart enough to know that's not correct. Wrote disapproval of diagnosis on survey. Was contacted by service manager who wanted to drive vehicle to hear noise. He drove and confirmed noise and he stated that's wasn't "Normal" for this vehicle. Was then quoted $2300 for complete replacement of rear end differential. WOW! Was told this is normal and then now, you need $2300 with of work to your vehicle. Took vehicle to another shop, $88.81 later the noise was gone. Mechanic at shop stated the rear end had NEVER been serviced and the oil inside was totally used up and needed to be replaced. Now, the vehicle was purchased at Lakeland Ford and ALL service was performed by their shop and mechanics. NO MORE. First off I know it is hard to find some specific vehicles this year especially the 2022 Bronco in all models and trims. I stopped by the dealership as I was passing as I had been interested in one for a while. I met Geoff and he let me test drive the one sport that they had on the lot and I fell in love! I told him I was particular. Had to be cactus grey and no power moon/sun roof. He checked them in bound dealer ordered stock and one was on its way. We went in and got me pre-approved in record time and went over my trade value. They worked with me for what I WANTED on my trade in and we got the deal squared away. The car came a week early and Geoff let me know as soon as it arrived on the lot with a photo. I picked up my vehicle yesterday. They made sure it's was clean and pristine and even accommodated my picky choice of not having the pin-striping. Secondly, I want to give praise to the Finance Manager Kim Davis that had all the paperwork stacked and ready for me to review and sign. She was sweet and got me a great deal with Ford Credit. It appears Lakeland Ford Parts only allows positive reviews on their website. Their customer service is awful. I called Lakeland Ford to verify a part number and to order it over the phone. I was told they do not take orders over the phone that I had to order the part on their website, which I did. Now, five days later, because my shipping address does not match the billing address they cancelled my order. Rather than calling me to question this, they just cancel it. I called Lakeland Ford Parts to inquire about this, they said due to Covid they have experienced more credit card fraud so the order was cancelled. They said the only way I could reorder the item is if I use Paypal. Well I don't have a Paypal account. Being a hospitality professional and trainer, it saddens me when I have to speak negatively about how I was spoken to and felt while talking to the quick lane service person today. He (I choose not to give his name), never acknowledged me with a greeting once I was handed over to him. He seemed more interested in the information that he was inputting into the computer. No actual eye contact, while answering my simple questions and seemed annoyed that I was asking them. I wanted to have (2) key fobs programmed and I guess because I had purchased the identical after market fobs to the ones I was given with the Flex, it wasn't worth him really caring. His answers to my questions were very unconcerned and I was told that what he was working on needed to be completed before he could schedule me to come in and get them done. I asked him the price and it was well above what I already knew the price would be (prior research and calling around to Ford dealerships for pricing). I have to admit, this is the second time within the past month that I have come to this dealership for parts and this situation and both times, the people that I spoke or dealt with had little to no customer service skills and seemed uncaring or that I was annoying them. I totally understand things are a bit crazy with the pandemic but there is no reason that a person should make a potential client or guest feel as though they are annoying or less important than the last or next. After two times coming to this dealership, I will not be making a return visit and will not encourage others to do so. I would not want them to have to go through the same things that I encountered. I did not feel welcomed or wanted at Lakeland Ford and will travel to another dealership for any future service that maybe need for my Flex or future purchases. It's a shame that the most important aspects of a person visit to an establishment are lost because people do not have proper hospitality and customer care skills. i had my car (2018 fusion)towed in recently because it wasn't running. the check engine light was on and it wasn't changing gears. when i had called to make the appointment i spoke to a man (i am a young woman) who talked down to me the whole time. i could tell he didn't believe me when i told him what had happened with me car. i made the appointment anyway because i needed my car fixed. I get to the dealership with my husband and father in law, because i wasn't going alone after that phone call, and the service rep doug very clearly doesn't want to speak to them, but he's super friendly with me of course. we leave and he calls about a week later telling me it's my accelerator cable and that my battery is dead. he was trying to tell me it's $300 for a new car battery... talk about a stealership. I tell him no thanks ti the battery and well handle it. fast forward to the next day and i go to pick up my car, THE BATTERY ISNT EVEN DEAD. my car has been running just fine for about a week now. on my way home from the dealership however, a piece of my car was literally flapping in the wind. I pulled over and grabbed it, to discover it's literally broken. no idea how or why they decided to pull that piece off but they broke it in the process and just tried to throw it back on. seriously?? i've emailed douglas twice and called over 10 times trying to get ahold of him OR the ford service manager and no one wants to speak with me. i called this morning from my husbands phone because i had a feeling it was my phone number, and low and behold, doug picked up on the first ring when i called from my husbands phone and acted surprised when i said i've been trying to get a hold of him for over a week. i'm very annoyed at the way i was treated, not to mention they seriously broke a random piece of my car and are trying to ignore me! go somewhere else!! read more

I took my car in to have the AC checked as I knew there was a leak in one of the AC lines. While in the shop I thought I would go out an look for a new Convertible Mustang Ecoboost. They had none on the lot. So I went into the showroom where I was meet by one of the salesman I explained what I was looking for and we had a good conversation, but I was told that I would be 2-3 months before they get one in. By then the shop had finished, so we went outside and looked at my 2004 Mach 1 and I explained it was extra clean and had a lot of appearance modifications as it was mostly a show car. I told the salesman that I had worked in auto sales earlier selling Ford cars, and I would be back in 2 days as instructed by the service adviser to do more work on the AC. I specifically ask the salesman to see if they could find a dealer trade in Blue and I would be happy to sit down and discuss numbers. The next day I found the exact car I wanted, only it was 300 miles away, but still here in Fl. I emailed the salesman my findings. What does he do? He emails me two cars, one in Black, one in Gray. Already wasting my time. Then when I came back into the showroom after bringing my car back to the service department, I had told the salesman I wanted an out the price on the possible dealer trade car. Right away "are you going to trade your car and a down payment?" I made the mistake, and feel in the trap and said I would probably trade my car. So right away he goes to get my car appraised so they can add this into the OTD price. Never do this. Just give me your best OTD price. Then of course they give me a low-ball offer for my car because the issue with the AC and the show car mods. Well once those issues are taken care of by the shop the car would be put out on the lot for about $8000 over what they were offering. I know,.because I have seen the advertisements for comparable cars online. Plus they added several fees like a $699 dealer fee for example to further pad their profit. It's really a nice dealership but have noticed that tactics have changed drastically since they built out their new facility. Always get a second opinion on any work they want to do and I bet you save a few bucks. The latest was I just called to find out how much to get my spare key for my truck replaced and it was well over $250 over the phone. When I asked why so much they said it would take 2 hours. Luckily I called a local locksmith prior to and knew the process takes all of 10 minutes to complete. Saves a few bucks too. I will have to see a ton of great reviews here before I ever go back. My wife and I had a poor experience with the Pre-Owned Department at Lakeland Ford today. We had interest in a 2017 Lincoln Navigator pre-owned on the lot. We live north of Orlando, so for us it is over an hour and a half drive each way to the dealership. We've bought multiple vehicles over the internet and remotely in the past with no issues. With a drive that far, I don't like to be surprised by vehicle condition when I arrive, so I always ask for a detailed walk around noting any damage such as dents, door dings, scratches, etc that I might notice when I'm there in person. This way, if the condition doesn't meet expectations, a day isn't wasted driving down for a vehicle that doesn't meet our needs. The salesman in the Pre-Owned Department (lets just call him John Doe here) did the walk through and described the vehicle to me as "gorgeous". I again asked him to confirm any dents/dings/damage etc to which he indicated none. We loaded our two small children in the car and we made the trek down, title in hand with our trade, to purchase our new-to-us vehicle. Upon arrival, we found the condition was not as described, with several large scratches on the hood, fading paint near the windshield, previously repaired gouges on the plastic on the passenger doors and interior leather damage, none of which was disclosed prior to our trip down. When my wife pointed out these issues, "John Doe" told her "Mam, you do realize this is a pre-owned car" in a very rude and condescending manner, and then proceeded to leave the car running in front of the office and walk back inside the office without saying a word. This negative experience tells me there is, at least with this salesman, a lack of transparency in the sales process and lack of the level of professionalism you would expect in modern day car sales. We won't be back to Lakeland Ford / Automall and advise "Buyer Beware" if you are making a long distance trip to look at a pre-owned vehicle. read more

Discount does not mean price drop!! Yes auto sales have an honesty rating all their own and Lakeland Ford / Auto Mall has it mastered! Found a car online my grandsons "Dream" so I saved it and requested notice of a price drop. 2 days later I get an email the price dropped $2,000 too good to be true, right? I called the dealership and spoke with Tami, yes the car is still available, I then asked "Why the $2000 price drop what is the condition of the car, are there issues?" She said the car has been here for a while and I got together with my manager yesterday and decided to "discount the car". Stupid enough to believe what she said I sent my daughter to purchase the car (I live 2 1/2 hrs away) she drove the car, FaceTime with her son to see his "dream" car and she was ready to close the deal. Really goes south from there!! I know most people don't pay attention to the details, having a degree in accounting I do. My daughter sent me the agreement they wanted signed. First line the Car advertised with a discount from the original $9995 of $2000 (confirmed by phone with Tami) was now $10,990 NOT the $7995 (or the $7495 listed on other sites) : $1752 Discount doesn't get it there $350 "Govermment" Fees (not just transfer fee) $680. Proc/Doc Fee ... no Dealer Fee $630.58 Total taxes (I couldn't make it work) $10,873.58 Amount Financed NO it was CASH. How does this work to a car at the top price of $9995 become $10,873! BEWARE, this dealership Lakeland Ford, Lakeland Hyundai, Lakeland Automall and I am sure other names is EXTREMELY misleading at very best and Con Artist more than likely this was intended I did the right thing and contacted the Dealership to have what I thought to be confirmed even questioned why the $2000 price drop and deliberately lied to! By the way when you call and the recording says for quality assurance this call may be monitored... they use that recording during your transaction even going so far as to play it back to prove she said "discount" not price drop because Discount does not mean a price drop or change! The owner of Lakeland ford (Greg Balasco) Is attempting to bully and basically Blackmailing a out of work mother of 3,who is also going to school full time, to try and better her situation. Her car Has been in their shop for 3 months being repaired , They didn't Even look at our vehicle for over a month and then took another 2 weeks to get a rental car from them. Unfortunately there was an accident in the rental car, And we are currently disputing the insurance company because they are refusing to pay for The repairs to the rental car. In the mean time the Manager Jim Hancock as well as the owner Greg Balasco, Refuse to let her pick up her car. We have the money to pay the repair bill, But they refused to release her car unless we pay the total cost of the repair for the rental. We have insurance and we are Trying to get them to cover the coverage of the rental. But it is not right for them to hold her car hostageIn the meantime when we have the money to pay the repair bill.Mr. Balasco said to me He will just keep her car until they repossess it he doesn't care. Would be very cautious going to this dealership. Prices are not what they say they are. They will not show you an item break down of what your paying for up front... a lot of shady practices and they hide behind their free lifetime warranty that really isn't free. read more

This is our day at Lakeland Ford. We bring in a 2017 California Special, 7300 miles, and perfect! All we need is a simple oil change, filter and replace a three year old battery. We get a very young trainee who doesn't have a clue on how to change oil. She asks the guy next to her!!!! So we get 10 count them 10!! quarts of oil in our perfect 5.0 Mustang (coyote) had no idea till we got home, yes the car was driven quite a few miles with this overfill!! Had no idea we were screwed over like this until we got home and looked at the bill! How much damage has Hanna done to this engine? (thats her name dont let this person near your car!!! Fooled around with fluids as well, she didnt even know what a master cylinder was yet she played with the cap!!! How can Lakeland Ford do this to people?? We are senior citizens and this is what they pull? I won't even go into the abuse of the pushy salesmen who I told 5 times our car isn't for sale!!! The WORST car service ever in our entire lives, we have owned over the years 25 new cars a a few used. Lakeland Ford you should be very ashamed of yourselves, we will NEVER come back, you have broken our hearts and ruined our fun car and we can't afford another one! CRIMINAL!!
