I'd booked with a different company, who texted at the last minute that they weren't going to be there on time. Not getting a new time, I reached out again to those who had responded. Metro had originally stated that they could come out on Friday. I didn't want to wait that long, so I got on their list to see if they'd make it out on Thursday. I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue. The cost was $120. This was a quick, inexpensive repair with very friendly service. I've already given their name to a friend who's having plumbing issues at his home. Thanks Metro! I know who to call when the need arises again.

The team at Metro Heating and Cooling was able to bring someone over to diagnose the issue, then bring a team over and complete the install of a new furnace within one day, working until after 7 pm because they said they were not going to leave us without heat for a night. We are extremely grateful to their team and will definitely be going back to them for any future work we need!

We had an issue with a circuit breaker tripping recently on the A/C. John came out and spent over an hour checking out the unit. It checked out great. I did get other quotes from bigger outfits, which I believe would have done a great job, but I really trust John Schuebel. A really personable guy who does quality work and cares about what he's doing. If I'm going to have someone in my home, especially for major work, I have to be comfortable with them. He replaced my home's furnace and A/C system and installed a humidifier in June 2018. Made it an easy process, kindly answered my many questions, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need or wasn't appropriate for my home, and provided me good advice. Very pleased with the product and workmanship. I'm very happy with the cost, also. Was much lower than a larger, well-known heating and air conditioning company here in the Twin Cities. Just a really easy person to work with and put me at ease. Local, hard working, nice guy. Pretty much what everyone looks and hopes for when they hire a service. Will hire him again, if needed. I just have no complaints here.

Said he would contact us within half hour with price of board and time frame for purchasing. I would need to sign something for them to actually obtain the board. The A/C was working and the elderly person was taken care of. 10 days later the A/C failed. Attempts to access the weekend repair service required much hire then average pricing rates. The problem was not with the timing but with word play and laziness of the repair person. Kept asking "Was the equipment working when they left". And what do you expect me to do at 9:00PM at night. After several attempts he finally admitted they guarantee their work but only on the following Monday. The repairperson enjoyed using generalizations , making statements that had no appearent relation to the request for service. Basically the repair person was absolute they would not be repairing it over the weekend even though he was on call. The conversation lead to me asking if he enjoyed all this word play to which his answer was a definite Yes. He ended the call after his smart ass answers, by promptly hanging up. Clearly he was not enjoying his word play any further. We have used this company to replace three homes Heating and A/C and, we believed they are a responsible company and that the Owner as of this writing is unaware of the abuse from his weekend tech(s). Two attempts to get straight answers from the same tech were made. The one made by a women was aggressive , demeaning and upsetting. The discussion with a male was wordy, out of context and appeared designed to elicit anger. Not getting the anger from the male he hung up. I would think twice before engaging this company on any home where there are elderly, disabled, or home bound young children present. I would also encourage that the male of the family be the one to approach any tech or representative of the company. They have a preference to treat women as second class citizens

The prior owners paid for a new boiler and hot water heater, with non-transferable warranties provided by Norse Home Solutions. My upstairs neighbor recommended the company saying they seemed like "good dudes". So I hired them to install new heat pumps in my unit. The installation was a bit of a disaster, as we had a clear agreement that they would pursue the appropriate permits, and I was assured that there was time to install before I moved into my new home. I paid upfront on July 23rd. Then it turned out that they had not secured the permits in a timely way (apparently they filed, but didn't follow up), which I learned from someone in City government, not from anyone at Norse Home Solutions. So it was a struggle to get the pumps installed in time. I was told that the work was 100% done on Thursday, August 7th, and sent handy persons in to work on assembling new furniture, and it turned out that the heat pumps were not fully installed, and my home was overheating (this was in August, during a heat wave). Norse Home Solutions finally got the heat pumps working on August 8th (the day I was moving in). I was assured by the sales person that both the equipment and their work would be warrantied for 12 years. I asked for any information or guidance about the equipment (i.e. instructions, warranty, cleaning, maintenance), but never received anything. Last week the boiler they installed earlier this year stopped heating. Since the boiler is warrantied, I had no choice about using another contractor, if I wanted to avoid voiding the warranty. So I called for service and was able to schedule an appointment, and notified my tenants, who were waiting on the repair. Subsequently, they called back and canceled the appointment, due to a technician "schedule change". Then it turned out they were willing to reinstate the appointment today, but only if I agreed to pay extra money for "emergency service". Minnesota has state law (Minn. Stat. § 325D. 44) which requires (upfront) transparency in pricing, which means this was likely an unlawful practice. In addition to raising this issue, I also raised concerns about corrupt business practices. The person I was speaking with (he identified himself as Dave) expressed opposition to this statement and claimed that their receptionist (Eden) had just made mistakes and handled the communication poorly, but they did not do anything with "evil" intention. I had not actually alleged that they were "evil". I explained that since they had acknowledged the mistake and had not delivered legally required information about pricing, and since Minnesota requires that they do so, to nevertheless proceed in attempting to coerce extra money for time-sensitive service, after they had already confirmed the appointment (and after I had notified my tenants), was in fact an example of a corrupt business practice. I am a legal scholar, and one of the areas I teach is "Contracts". I spent some time this morning researching this question. One of the areas of Minnesota state law used to address corrupt business practices is Minn. Stat. § 325.F69, and I believe this behavior would likely be actionable under Subd. 8, and possibly Subd. 1. Dave returned my call this morning and stated again that the warranty on the boiler was non-transferable to other contractors, but that he had discussed with his team, and they were not going to provide service on the boiler. I inquired about my heat pumps, since I had been assured that they would be under 12 year warranty (both for the installation/work, and by the manufacturer), and he indicated that Norse Home Solutions would not provide any warranty service. He attempted to claim that only the equipment was warrantied (by the manufacturer), but I explained that Cody Kogler, the person who sold me the heat pumps and installation, had promised both warranties (in July 2025), and I did rely on his promise. I would avoid this company at all costs. Really awful.
