Although it took 4 tries, Brian & Mike finally figured out an intermittent problem with out heating system. 2 thermostats, removing 2 wasp nexts on the furnace combustion intake, resetting fan speeds and talking directly to the furnace manufacturer to redesign the exhaust pipe, I think were there! read more

Well, we had our first visit for a check-up after getting a whole new system installed last fall from Standard Heating &Air Conditioning. We decided to have this done every year to keep our systems running as well as possible. Now we have had folks come and tune up our old system a few times so am familiar with what was done before. This time I was very pleasantly surprised at the depth of work that was performed. Chee,our tech spent more time going over every aspect of our heating and air conditioning system than anyone had ever done before. The degree of inspection down to deep cleaning the vents on the air conditioning radiator was impressive. Of course, this was all done with both of us wearing our masks while Chee explained everything he was doing and why. Dillon was the tech and he was early, professional and answered all my questions which included the humidifier on the furnace and the best type of furnace filter to use. DO NOT hire Standard Heating and Air Conditioning. They will do a credit check on you and your family members before they agree to come out just because they don't trust anyone to pay them. They did my parents house and ran my credit and my moms. I called them and they said they would reverse it but didn't. We had our annual furnace tune up and cleaning yesterday and Casey was fantastic. He thoroughly cleaned our furnace, inspected it, and gave us a breakdown of an item that would need to be fixed in the future. He was so honest with me and never condescending. We initially had another company come out to do a tune up and they didn't clean our furnace at all and told us we needed a $3000 overhaul on one of the motors. Casey reassured us this was not needed, gave us a much more reasonable alternative that could be taken care of in the future and assured us that if we continue to maintain our furnace year over year, it should run several more years. If I could request Casey each time, I definitely would. So far, in 2 different homes we have had Standard replace 2 AC units and a furnace and would continue to call them any time we needed service or a new unit. read more

Called this company after getting an $1800 quote from someone else to repair my A/C. Jason came out, took a look at the unit, and reconnected a wire. The unit works fine right now so all I had to do was pay the service call fee. Jason saves me $1700 I didn't really need to spend. Jeff with SH&AC came out to our house today to fix a busted AC condenser. We had cleaned out the condenser and done the basic trouble-shooting, but no luck. Jeff did a thorough diagnostic, replaced some parts, showed me and told me about each service he was performing, and eventually got the thing up and running. So I'm splurging this and running the AC at 68 degrees for the rest of the afternoon thanks to Jeff and Standard Heating & Air. Not only was he prompt on arrival, but he did an excellent and professional job, and the charge was reasonable - I had a good enough experience with Jeff that I enrolled in their maintenance program. read more

We continue to be impressed by the high quality, knowledgeable, friendly service staff that comes out to check our furnace and A/C. They are more than willing to answer any questions we have and we are so happy we trusted this major investment to them. Revised: I would not recomend standard heating for boiler instalation or services. Their sales and scheduling was unprofessional and rude. The installation went smoothly, but we have already had 2 issues with them in the first 5 months. When we needed them the most they did not have adequate solutions and were caught being rude and talking behind our backs. One issue was an installation error that cause water to leak down the exaust into our basement, which they promptly resolved. The other issue was when the boiler stopped working in 15 degree weather just 3 months into the winter season after purchase. We called the 24 hour emergency number and the they sent a junior technician who could not diagnose the issue and he refused to call a supervisor or manager when asked. He said there was nothing they could do and left a couple small space heaters which only heated one room of the house up to 50 degrees. The repair person stormed off mid convorsation when I was talking to him, and we saw on our Ring doorbell that the repair person was talking behind our backs about how we were being irrational about the situation. How unbelievable. We later found out when they sent a senior technician the next day that it was a gas issue. They apologized for not being able to diagnose the obvious issue and left us without heat over night, but that did not change the situation they left us in and made us question their knowledgeof gas appliances... read more

Had my air ducts cleaned by Jon and he did an amazing job. I've had my air ducts cleaned in the past yet continued to notice a significant amount of dust in the house. To start, I really like that this company uses a HepaVac cleaning system, whereas the former service did not. Jon was not only thorough and spent a great deal of time, beyond my expectations, to get the job done right, he was very pleasant and explained the process. He showed me some before and after photos which gave me much satisfaction that I had good results, but the confirmation has been in the huge reduction of dust in the home. She is professional and thoughtful and once we realized the AC-only plan had to be changed to include a new heater, she got right on making the changes and stopping by to check on progress. She did a nice job identifying rebates and keeping my costs down. James, the crew boss, was efficient and clearly took a lot of pride in his work. We ended up with an entire crew there that day. I don't know all their names, but they were all wonderful! They were respectful when talking to me, as well as with each other. It was muddy out that day and they were all careful to minimize the mud brought into the house and mopped up the floors when they were done.
