At our first visit hear we foundout that this is not an regular beverage store. It is an WOW BEVERAGE store. It has a huge selection of handcrafted wines, exclusive, hard to find spirits and crafted brews. Sam, the owner offered an impeccable service. Price is also something to mention, VERY competitive. I found out a very nice immigrant story of the owners, which own and run this business since 1992, and I have to say again that they do a great job there. They have a great product, knoledgeble and friendly staff. They helped me to choose a great wine for our wedding anniversary. Gave me recommendations about serving an pairing the wine. I really felt the difference between the service in this place and any other places. I will certainly go back, have already few notes of what I want. Lakeside Whisky Museum. Prices so high they are too embarrassed to put prices on more than half of the whiskey they have on the shelf. the number of allocated whiskey bottles that are on their shelf tells you that they're more interested in being a museum than selling everything. When I asked the woman working there why there were no prices on all of the whiskey in the cases she told me that they've had problems with people stealing things in the past....?? Came in with my mother and brother, They were extremely informative and had a great selection. Excited to try the Friday night wine tasting, it had a nice crowd but seemed laid back. More than enough parking as well.... I am now a regular. Customer service is amazing, they remember you and the selection is great. Soon as we walked in we were greeted very friendly by a short black haired gentleman and when I responded he didn't show any sort of attention to me or my response, he was much more concerned with the blonde woman who entered before us. Let me state that we are from out of town. Santa Rosa area to be exact, and I noticed there was a place for some Pliny the younger and I know that it isn't a regular released brew. And he says there isn't any in stock. I suggested he removes the tag as he won't be getting any anytime soon and because of that it's false advertising and its a tease to have it there. He became argumentative and started telling me its not a tease, it's not false advertising because they might get it back in. What? Next year? LOL... I would give them 0 but its not an option. I went in here to buy a bottle of scotch, when I entered the store nobody was inside. I wandered around for a few minutes and called for someone to assist me. I went and used the restroom while I was waiting. While in the restroom the owner started banging on the took telling me to leave immediately and that I wasn't allowed to use his bathroom. I apologized and said I was looking for him for a few minutes. He said he didn't care and to get the f*** out of his store now. We said we just wanted to buy the bottle and leave and he threatened to shoot us if we did not leave. We left with him screaming, I will not be shopping there again. Highly unprofessional. read more

Sam please read my review again, you did not refuse to ship the order because of time of year, you were advertising a wine in stock that you did not have and you made me wait over 2 weeks to find out I wasn't getting it. This is a wine you charged me over $200 for. Due to the wait it was too late to buy it elsewhere. If it had been a matter of shipping I would have paid you extra to ship it in dry ice. Stay away from this place, they don't pay attention to detail and they obviously don't research customer complaints, or even bother to read them fully. read more

Not only do they have an extremely impressive selection of beer, wine, and liquor, including many rare and unusual finds; but, they also have a comfortable tasting lounge where you can taste from a beautifully curated selection of wine and beer. I came in to search for Pliny the Elder and left with that and a handful of other rare beers and wines. The owner, Sam, was so helpful and kind during the entirety of our visit! He spent so much time helping us find a wide variety of drinks that we were very excited about! We had the pleasure of trying one of Sam's own wines, Work Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc and loved it! I will definitely be back to Lakeside Beverage, both for searching for rare finds, but also for their weekly tastings! I am so disappointed by the customer service from the owner, Sam, and the way in which he chose to handle my return of a bottle of wine that had a moldy cork and tasted horrible. I bought 2 of the same bottles and fortunately the other one was good so I compared color and taste side by side and had my husband taste it too. When I brought it back to let Sam know he immediately went to grab a wine glass to taste the wine, telling me it was fine and he would go broke if he replaced every bottle someone didn't like. It wasn't getting my money back that bothered me nearly as much as his attitude and the way he treated me. I told him I was leaving and I would not be back, to which he replied, "I don't mind if you don't come back". Wow. How rude can one be? Not only will I not return to this store, I will also be recommending to friends, family and anyone else that asks me that they don't give him their business either.
