Well, it's no longer Lakeside Chevrolet... Hiley Chevrolet now and I'm not impressed at all. Tried calling for an appointment for oil change and tire rotate, in the past that would take 5 minutes top. I spent 10 mins on the phone one morning and never got ahold of a human being. Thinking it was a phone issue I called again next morning, same story no one answering phone. Finally worked my way to an operator and he put me on hold, then dropped the call. Tried again right away got another operator that simply said no one is available, call back later?? I called around and found someone who answered the phone, was happy to make me an appointment, same price as Hiley... and was very friendly and efficient when I got there, in and out in 45 minutes... Jason, the salesperson, rudely threw my husband's private and confidential paperwork up in the air when my husband wouldn't agree to a 13% interest on loan for 3 years. (we have very good credit) In addition with our down payment, we wouldn't have had to finance for 3 years as he was suggesting. Jason apparently was very upset that he invested time, and couldn't RIP us off for a bigger commission. EXTREMELY IMMATURE JASON. Terrible service. Argumentative GM and ok with selling brand new vehicles with issues and don't do anything to try to right the wrong. The owner doesn't respond to emails and once you sign the paperwork they consider you done . If you're interested in integrity, compromise, communication, and getting great service don't waste your time here. Double checking on my supposed ordered part and the business recognized the part order but said that they had no record of the order number. After working out a deal with Lakeside & signing a purchase agreement - Lakeside then turned around and sold my vehicle the next morning. Our sales rep Al, did not request a deposit down to hold the vehicle as we had already signed the purchase agreement on 6/24/24 and financing was completed and sent over the next day on 6/25/24. Regardless to say, horrible way of business and customer service. STAY AWAY FROM SALES DEPARTMENT!!! I bought a 2024 Trax and when I picked it up it was very dirty, I thought to myself "I thought they detailed vehicles after a sale" but brushed it off thinking this isn't like other dealerships I've bought from in the past. I go to clean the car myself, to my standards and the windshield is blurry, I tried cleaning it multiple times. With no luck I took it to a glass specialist and they informed me that the windshield is defective. This dealership will not replace and I have to come out of pocket for $822. Insurance will not cover it because it's pre existing. When I tried to show the sales manager he didn't even care enough to come look at the windshield himself and said "I believe you that it's defective " and told me I'm on my own. Also the very next day after picking up my Trax, not even 15 miles later the check engine light and the tire pressure sensor came on. If they do some sort of used vehicle inspection before a sale they skipped this Trax and probably many other vehicles. I had to drive it like that all weekend, possibly cause more damage and they had to leave it with them for days so they could fix it. I am not feeling confident in this purchase AT ALL!! Also my wife just bought a 2024 Silverado a few months prior so between the two of is we've spent 99k at this dealership to get this kind of treatment. UNREAL! Now the service department, absolutely phenomenal. They felt my pain in this car buying experience and agreed with me that I shouldn't have been left with the cost of windshield and are doing everything they can to help me with this. We have tree kids so we're going to have to set up a payment plan to get windshield fixed. I'm welder and have a prescription for a tinted windshield due to issues with my vision but no one will tint it because it's already blurred. This is a huge safety risk and the sales department at Lakeside Chevrolet couldn't care any less. On Tuesday, I took my 2024 Colorado purchased in November to service for a few problems: 1. Brake system failure warning. 2. Gas filler door not always opening properly. 3. When straightening wheel from a right turn a left turn signals come on for 3 or 4 times then stops. I dropped it off on Tuesday. I was told service was "backed up". I have heard nothing since. I called service today, Saturday, and was told the advisor who took the truck in was off today. I was told I would have to wait until Monday to find out anything about the status of the truck. I then called the salesman who sold the truck. He did walk to service and told me the same thing. He said the information was in the service advisors computer and no one had access to it. May I suggest to Lakeside Chevrolet they rename the department to "no-service department "? Based on other experience I've had there, a 3 star rating is generous for Lakeside Chevrolet because they did respond positively to some of my initial issues, but not all. read more

Brought my truck here for a transmission fluid flush, I waited for it in the lobby. I was actually blown away by how fast they got it done, Service Advisor was very nice and good at his job. I was happy with everything and i was very satisfied with the price of the service i got done. My only complaint was that when i got my truck back and i got in it, it smelled absolutely disgusting like the tech that moved it in/out of the shop had some gnarly B.O. and my steering wheel had a greasy/dirty feeling like he did not wash his hands or remove his dirty gloves. It's disappointing because I am a technician that works for a dealership servicing Semi Trucks, and the rule is always to get someone clean to move a vehicle if you are too dirty/gross to do it. read more

i purchased a used vehicle from Lakeside Chevrolet in March of 2022. The vehicle was exactly what I wanted or I would have walked at numerous points during the negotiation and purchase process. From the Sales Person's personality to the detailing of the vehicle, the rolled into the price ForeverWarranty Program (The price was rolled into the sale price with no demostrated way to opt out.) the purchase was not a pleasant eperience. Let me tell you about the experience I had at Lakeside Chevrolet just a week ago. I have been looking for a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport for years, since they came out. I wanted a specific color with a specific interior combo. I was searching FB marketplace and this Burgundy Grand Sport had just been posted. My son and I drove to Rockwall to look at it and it was spectacular, my absolute dream car. I make an appt to talk to a salesman and when I show up this fresh, young, good looking salesman greeted me at the door with this mega-watt smile. I told him, I was looking for Kori and he said, "that's me sir", just as polite as you could imagine. We went into his office and he asked his questions, very soft spoken and polite. No, push, no desperation, just cordial conversation. I told him what I wanted to do in terms of price and wanted to see if they would give me the deal I wanted. In 10 -15 minutes, I had my deal. No haggling, no pressure tactics. Just a straight up deal I wanted. He then ushered back to finance and there I met the best Finance Mgr. I can recall ever dealing with. She walked me through an unbelievable interest rate and explained warranty options that I usually don't purchase. However, she was so thorough and again in a very laid back not pushy manner that I ended up buying a 7 year warranty and a tire and wheel package. I have bought several cars in my life, dealt with several car dealers in multiple states. I cannot remember ever being this pleased and satisfied with the professionalism, efficiency, lack of pressure and just wonderful people. Thank you Kori and Rebecca! Just came back from the worst experience I've ever had at an auto dealer's service center. I called yesterday to make an appointment, or get some information on coming in to get my Traverse serviced under warranty. Talked to Chuck, who said just come in when you can, so I said I'll see you tomorrow and he said ok. I get there today and I'm the only customer in sight. Every service desk had an employee behind it. Still took them about 4-5 minutes to greet me, only to tell me that they're 3-5 days backlogged. So my only choice is to drop my vehicle off for 3-5 days before they can even look at it. I asked them if they were any options as this is my family's only vehicle and I have a one month old daughter that I need to get to a doctor in Rowlett, but can't until the A/C's back up. The guy I was talking to was totally unforgiving and seemed like he could care less. Take your business elsewhere. Bought my first Corvette couple weeks ago from Lakeside Chevrolet. Nothing special about the salesperson as he didn't really know much about the car. Fast forward to yesterday when I went to clean out interior. Reached under passenger seat and found a wad of old Starbuck napkins. Inside this wad of napkins was a baggie with what appears to be marijuana!!!!! Called dealership and talked to salesman, Jason. Whoa!!! before I could get much out of my mouth this salesman just went off on me, cussing me telling me if my balls were big enough come do something about it. Completely blew me off, he had his sales, he was done with me. No big deal to him, but if I had been pulled over and that was found in my possession I could have been arrested. Unless you want drugs as an accessory for your car I'd think twice about dealing with these people, at least look under seats before leaving this place. read more

Extremely low key and easy buying experience. Lakeside does not do the typical bait and switch scam where you see one price online then show up to find thousands of dollars in "dealer adds". The online price was the price in the first deal sheet presented. I received a very fair offer for my trade. Cody (salesman) was knowledgeable and respectful. He was able to answer every question I asked. The finance process was laid back and aboveboard. No pushy upselling of useless warranties. Warranties and gap insurance were offered (as is typical) but they were not shoved down my throat as you get with some finance departments. I found Lakeside to be an honest and ethical dealership and will definitely consider them when looking to purchase again in the future. Great job Lakeside. Great job Cody. My Dad worked at Lakeside Chevrolet, for YEARS in the 90's. Rickey Fry was my dad and absolutely the best mechanic ever! Actually an electrician. He would bet people he could disassemble an entire Steering column and put it back together BLINDFOLDED AND IN A CERTAIN TIME FRAME! He worked for Chevrolet for many years after leaving full time Navy. But he loved working at Lakeside better than any of them! He was the best judgment of character. Hello. May 24 2023 my elderly mother and stroke disabled sister go in to have their car checked. They walk out with a new loan and much smaller car. The "trade in" was under warranty!!!! So the dealership took advantage of a senior and disabled adult knowing their car could have been repaired for FREE by the manufacturer. Yet they decided it was best for them to get a NEW loan and much smaller car. Please only shop here if your knowledable about your options otherwise stay away. read more

We took our car in for a recall issue and they were quick to order us the part we needed and were quick to get it fixed.

I was told to bring our vehicle in to get a "pre write" done for our warranty issue and that they would call me in a couple of days to bring it back. Said the employee who could diagnose the issue was out with a personal business matter. Three weeks later with no responses from the service writer, I called and spoke with the person who wrote the initial RO. The service writer told me ironically that "you were literally next in the queue to be called". Yeah, okay. Took it in at 7:30 and then was told it would be 48 hours before they could look at it. I would need to leave it with them. At the 72 hour mark, I called for an update. Was told that there were 14 other vehicles ahead of mine and that they were just backed up and haven't had a chance to diagnose it. Remember, I was "next in the queue ". As I expressed my dissatisfaction with their process and total lack of transparency, the service writer simply apologized for the inconvenience of not having our vehicle for a week. The service writer then said they would "get right on it to see what they could find out ". I received a call about an hour later to be told that the issue didn't come up and there was nothing they could do at this time. I told the service writer I was coming to get our vehicle. When I got my key, I was told, "now if that message comes up again, just bring it back in and we will replace that module ". I will not darken this dealerships door again. I would never pay them anything for this unprofessional treatment and level of service that I received. Let the buyer beware. read more

Lakeside is costing me Thousands $$$$!!! A few months ago Chuck Hawkins the service writer had Lakeside perform the GM Certified 90k service on my Equinox. They did not perform the service accordingly. After less than 10k miles since my service I'm now having serious issues with my Equinox. I have an extended warranty just incase something like this would happen. But since Lakeside service didn't do the 90k service correctly my warranty is now void!!! So I'm now stuck with a $3,200 shop bill out of pocket plus a voided warranty due to Chuck Hawkins and Lakeside service department team. I spoke with the Service Manger/Wendell Bolden and he basically said "opps we did miss that". He and the GM/Chris Thompson are unwilling to help us at all. Even after they admitted they missed the items on my 90K service voiding my warranty. The lack of accountability from the GM, Service Manger and The Service Writer is ridiculous and I highly triple check the work they perform on your next service. read more

The people in charge of bodywork and repairs were nothing but awesome. Today I went Lakeside Chevy in Rockwall to check out the beautiful new Tahoe's. We have the 2015 and I am super excited about the new body style. I walked in hoping to quickly grab a brochure so I could slide it across the hubs desk. It's been a few years since we bought a car. Last time we bought one in 2015 they had brochures so I was unaware of the change. Anyway, one salesman comes out chest puffed out with an obvious chip in his shoulder and a hatred of women. I guess since I came in without a man by my side I wasn't to be taken seriously. After all women don't buy cars just men right. I apologize for not knowing you no longer give out brochures. But it wasn't a reason to have an attitude and treat another human being poorly. I really recommend that you have your general manager take sensitivity training. The way you approach someone and talk to a person is super important. I must admit I got testy back but I am not one to be talked down to. So once I am talked poorly to I will treat you equally. Also, I think you may want to invest in drug and or alcohol testing. His eyes were very glassy and red. So he is either drinking or smoking on the job. I will not buying my future Tahoe from this establishment. I will also be telling others not to as well. So buyer beware..... this establishment does not want your money and treat you poorly..... well maybe just women. I have been told Greenville is a better option. Called to make an appointment to get my car looked at for a funny noise. I was excited when service said to come right in and they would take a look, especially on a Friday. When I arrived they told me it would be another few DAYS before they could even look at it. I made an appointment to came back that next Wednesday (their next available appointment) and when I got there that morning at 7:30 they proceeded to say it would be ANOTHER few days before they could look at it. We purchased a 2015 Chevy Cruze Turbo Diesel. In all honesty, I did not think we could remotely get a brand new car. I have to say I was so surprised when Dwayne called to say we got the car that I was crying..at work...when trying to tell the hubby. It was the most pleasant car buying experience and I would rather eat dirt than car shop. My husband surprised me with the whole new car thing.
