Communicated today and yesterday about coming down to his store to buy a truck they sent me an offer for. Either the management team made the mistake of not offering an accurate price to traveling customers, or they just plain went back on their word. Either scenario is disappointing. Predatory tactics? Or an honest mistake? You tell me. I contacted the dealership about a specific vehicle on their website and explained that we'd be traveling from 5 hours away to give them our business. We agreed on down payment, monthly payments, and 60 month term after submitting credit and detailed info/pictures of our trade in. Upon arriving our trade was devalued $500 because of a dent on the bumper (which was in the pictures I sent) but that's cool, I agreed to the trade reduction. Then I was informed management didn't actually submit our credit to a lender (Experian Alerts, Credit Karma, and CreditWise says otherwise) but only looked at our credit and estimated a monthly payment. This is not what I was told on the phone days previous. The loan was extended 12 months at the same payment, almost $8,000 MORE than what we agreed upon days before.... That's bold. After a back and forth they eventually almost honored their original deal that we drove out for. We really liked the car and we were tired of going to dealerships and car shopping (also you don't tell your 7 month pregnant wife no in this situation), so we agreed to an additional $20 in monthly payment, or $1,200 more than the original deal. The extended warranty plan we purchased is only honored at ford dealerships and not compatible with my certified repair shop (I believe this was an honest mistake by the finance manager and myself) The transmission issues we're having, which I expected at some point but not 400 miles after purchase, (these transmissions are notorious) will be covered under factory powertrain warranty so I won't sweat it. Overall we're pleased with the car and our salesperson, Jerime, was helpful and even offered us food while we waited. Dealerships use tactics to maximize profits (as do all successful businesses) but sometimes they are dishonest tactics. Sorry kind of long In mid April, (6 months) I bought a 2015 f150 FX4 from Rockwall ford. After completing all my sales paperwork I went to the truck to leave and the battery was dead. The sales guy and finance guy contacted service and had them put a (New) battery in the truck. A service person came over with the battery and put in the truck while it was in the delivery parking spot. FF to today over the last couple of days the truck has struggled to start so I took it in for a battery check. I was told the battery was no good, had a bad cell. Long story short I was told that they had no record of putting the battery into the truck on the sale day so it was my responsibility and not theirs. I contacted my sales rep , who intern contacted the service rep and confirmed the battery was put in by them, which seemed to make no difference to service department, Who failed to document the repair. I then found that the battery they put in was stamped 2023 not a new 2024. Even still it has a 2 year warranty. I had the service rep and the sales rep arguing in front of me saying they had no record of which department "paid" for the battery so ultimately it was my responsibility. The sales rep said "it's only $150, what's the big deal"for me to pay for a new one. My point to this is none of this should have been discussed with me or in front of other customers because it was not my responsibility that service failed to document the repair at the time it was done. Very unprofessional and inappropriate. Finally I was contacted by the used car manager, who literally said he recalled the incident with the hood up on my truck in the delivery parking spot being worked on by a service tech. He contacted the service manager and ultimately a New battery was put in the truck. The problem was corrected by the 2 adults in the room. They were helpful and the issue was resolved. For the most part Rockwall Ford does a decent job. I could not understand why they felt the need to argue who was responsible for putting the battery in at the time of the sale in front of me and the customers and them failing to document the service. Intern because of the lack of documentation felt it was now my responsibility to replace a bad battery that they put in, that was not a new battery like I was told, but was technically still under a 2 year warranty. read more

When I got it back, my ENTIRE 4x4 drive is now broken & not functioning at all. Not to mention now displaying a permanent error message on my dash now. They claimed they never put their hands on it, and only did a diag, what a lie that was. I figured out the issue and discovered they had completely dismounted my transfer case shift transfer motor, leaving it hanging by a zip tie. Escalated this issue up to the director Buddy Mays, and he said I should go get a 2nd opinion elsewhere, and literally hung up on me. I would HIGHLY recommend going to another Ford Dealership for any service work or purchase of new Ford Vehicle. I had a factory recall, and they said they would complete it only if I signed a waiver stating "Rockwall Ford Service was not responsible for any damage occurred during attempted warranty work." The service tech said if they tried to do the warranty repair it may work or it might actually make my car undrivable. WARNING: This is Service either purposefully trying to scam me to justify further repair costs or just incompetent mechanics. I took my car to another dealership, and they completed the recall work without signing any such waiver. It drives great now! I will never go to Rockwall Ford for Service or to purchase any of my new vehicles. Was a lifelong customer, was being the key word! Horrible service these days and NEVER work with James!!!! I took my truck in for a knocking I could feel in the steering wheel when driving over bumps. I was randomly assigned James as a service advisor. First red flag was he didn't really listen to what I was explaining the problem to be. He was more concerned about repeatedly telling about all the fees there would be if they found something and I held off on the repair. After several days of hearing nothing, no follow up, zero communication from James. I had to call to find out what was going on. I was told of a repair that was under recall, I said sure. Five minutes later a call saying sorry, no recall it's $1077.00. Couple days more no contact, had to call to find truck is ready. Driving home same knocking.....nothing was fixed! I Returned truck when I got back in town to have that issue looked at. I also asked for an oil change and asked to look at A/C, it was not blowing as hard as usual. Again James!! All excited about the fees if I didn't ok the work. I made a comment about feeling ripped off and he did not take that well. He said the mechanics work off commission and they needed to eat. Really???? I've never heard of that. Sounds like a way to breed dishonesty. I left truck on a Monday morning and never had an update. Went in person to check on Friday and James hadn't even turned in my paperwork. He tried to say they were busy but I physically watched him pull it from the bottom of a box under his workstation. I was assured he would call with update soon. A few hours later he called to say I needed a new $1080.00 blower motor and they had tightened some front end bolts. After pondering it for a few hours I called back declined the service. I was told oil change was done. Online bill showed oil change, $150.00 diagnostic fee for A/C and $85.00 fee for tightened bolts!!!! Went following Monday a whole week after initially dropping truck off to pick it up. I test drove it and same knocking, even mechanic felt it but said he would have to do more inspecting. I was done, I just wanted my truck. While getting ready to check out I looked and noticed my old oil filter was still on the truck meaning no service had been done! Jamie had no explanation. He did zero out the bill which SHOULD HAVE been done and I was on my way. One last note, I read and realized my A/C problem could be from a dirty cabin air filter. I replaced it myself for $45.00 and A/C now works perfectly!!! Had I not followed my gut I would have spent over a $1000.00 for nothing. I don't know what has transpired in the last year, but this simply is not the same place it used to be. Part came off the shock and is not covered by warranty because Rockwall Ford assumed it was damaged from trail driving. I heard a squeaky noise while driving my Ford Bronco and discovered the Bilstein shock was making that sound and then noticed the part on the side was missing. I couldn't see any damage around it and do not know that I could have hit it while on trail with how far up in the vehicle it is. I took it in to Rockwall Ford Service Center and they tell me it is not covered by the warranty because I have driven it off road and they assume it was damaged that way. I can't believe they would assume that without any evidence to support it. I asked them to put a note in the work order that they were declining to repair it under warranty so I could take it up with Ford Motor Company. At this point they delayed me, while the service rep told me to talk to the manager, then the manager told me to talk to the mechanic, then the mechanic told me that part could not fall off and it had to have been hit by something even though it didn't look like it. It became very frustrating because I am expected to believe their assumption at my expense, even though they could not show me any other damage in that area. I have to ask myself why the Rockwall Ford Service Center employees would not add comments to the work order until I was completely frustrated, I had simply asked them to notate their decision so I could take it up with Ford Motor Company. read more

So my uncle purchased a 2015 Expedition from Rockwall Ford. Story was "great vehicle", "belonged to one of our managers"? It was super clean so he bought it! Within 5 days check engine light is on, needs a new catalytic converter, which was caused by a turbo bypassing oil into the cat! As well, we found that there had also been transmission codes deleted and $3000 later it has a new valve body on the tranny as well as a new turbo! So we decided to look at the carfax and wow it wasn't a single owner vehicle of the managers! It had multiple owners and at this point we doubt one of them was a manager. I called the dealer to ask if there was ANYTHING they could do to help and lol of course the answer was no! This is not how ANY biz should conduct itself. EVER. I will never recommend Ford or any of their models to anyone, from the actual product to the customer service on the service side. I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. I brought in my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport to get the rear passenger window looked at because it wouldn't roll up.. and it's 40 degrees outside and my 5 year old sits back there.. i bring it into the dealership on thursday 12/5 at 8 am, i am greeted by someone who i assume is a service advisor but the man never introduces himself.. takes my number and mileage and guides me inside... he doesn't communicate anything about when the car should be getting looked at and doesn't mention anything about maybe keeping it over night. i arrange for a friend to pick me up, i get home and go about my day.. around 12 i get worried because i haven't heard anything about an update or even if my car had been check in.. i realize my husbands phone number is on he account so i call the dealership to find out who my advisor is and if there's any word on anything. i get connected to Jeral who says he's the guy who i met with earlier and i let him know to use my phone number, and that the car is about to be pulled in to the bay. and that i would be receiving an estimate soon. that estimate arrives maybe 20 mins later, and i never receive a call or anything about how long the work i had just approved to be done would take. another 2 hours pass and i get nervous because i am needing a car to get to work, and don't think mine will be done in time, so i call the dealership again (AGAIN, i should not be having to call and get updates on my vehicle) and express i need to know how long this will take or what will the next steps be in terms of a rental or loaner.. i get the pleasure of speaking the Juan who ensures me that they have a rental with Hertz that i would borrow and he's sending a shuttle to pick me up.. i get to the dealership and am explaining to Juan why i am upset about not knowing who or when or what about the work being done on my car and he lets me know he will be the one to handle it from there on out i wait for the hertz lady to be ready to intake me and get to her desk and run into a speed bump of having my husbands debit card on me instead of my own and how i couldn't rent anything from her. i am beyond frustrated and irritated that i had gotten a ride from home to then be told no i couldn't rent anything. i'm in tears on the phone with my husband when Juan comes out and let's me know that instead i could borrow a loaner for the next two days and how something along the lines of a deductible being waved was going to happen fast forward to yesterday 12/6 i get a text saying my car was ready for pick up and nothing else was mentioned about price or anything of that nature at all. fast forward to tonight 12/7 i get to the dealership and wine if the cashiers m/ employees begins to ring me up and tells me the prices is $198. i mentioned what Juan told me previously and then there was some sort of mess up and he was then going to charge me $298 instead... thankfully they realized the actual work that was being charged to the extended warranty was less than 200$ deductible and didn't have to charge me for it at all.. all this to say, please do better. this was such a headache and all because the actual car was having issues... nothing like tires or routine maintenance. make these cars better, train your employees better. just do better. read more

I've been a GM service director for 25 years. So my expectations are reasonably high. I've been to the service dept with both my F450's. I first dealt with Michael, he was pretty good. No complaints. The last 1/2 dozen times I've been with Keith. And I will tell you this , he's a diamond. Rarely do you see a rockstar like this in the service dept for any manufacturer. He's informative, professional, communicates well, and always gets my trucks done on time. Every time. He over delivers and under promises. I could not be more displeased with this dealership. Had my son's car towed to the dealership. I gave the tow truck driver two sets of keys. When I picked up the car several weeks later, Chris tried to blame me and the tow truck driver. He said over and over again how he only got one key. Funny thing, when the car arrived, he confirmed with me that he received two sets. He tried to make it right by giving me another key and key fob which was not comparable to the $175 key fob combo the lost. I tried to call the manager several times, never received a call back. The dealership provided only one key for the truck--one key. They really didn't care about finding the 2nd key. The salesman even joked that they had a bunch of 2nd keys for many used vehicles that had been sold. Like it is a joke that they keep the 2nd key. So now I am on the hook for buying a 2nd key for a 2020 Tundra (26K miles) that I paid full price for. I didn't even ask for a lower price, and now I get to shell out another $400 for a key that they have. What kind of BS is that?! I even emailed the GM about it. Did he respond? Of course not! Dishonest to a US Veteran - This will be a long post but I hope you take the time to read it. I proudly and sacrificially served this country in the US Army. It was plastered all over the Black F150 that I traded in at Rockwall Ford. They are well aware. I work hard for my income, take care of my family, and I'm raising my two sons to do the same. I deal with people honestly and with integrity and I would hope to receive the same treatment, especially when making such a large purchase. This was not the case at Rockwall Ford. I went to Rockwall Ford looking to purchase a new Ford F150. My first concern was with the financing. They made an offer but I knew I could get a better deal with my bank - USAA - a company who knows how to serve and honor Veterans. I brought my Veteran financing to Rockwall Ford. This is when the dishonesty started and didn't stop. When I brought my own financing, all of a sudden the numbers changed. I was told the previous offer was based upon me going with their financing. I expressed my displeasure and was ready to walk out of the door. They quickly apologized, admitted they were wrong and changed their offer to be "slightly" better than USAA. I accepted. After purchasing the vehicle, I was contacted to share my experience. I explained that I liked the salesperson, he was a pleasure to work with, but the financing seemed shady and it made my experience subpar. They again apologized and asked what could be done to make it better. I asked if I could PURCHASE the custom wheels that I had placed on the truck I traded in. Note - I asked to BUY THEM BACK - I'm a United States Veteran - I work hard for my money and I don't expect a hand out - I expect to do good, fair business on both sides. I was told, "No problem. We will just let you swap them out". So we scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 10am. I even called on Monday (the day before) to make sure everything was good. On Tuesday morning, I received a text from Rockwall Ford that said "Hold up before you come - the truck was sent to auction and we're trying to get it back". I didn't hold up - I went to the dealership to talk to someone face to face. Again, I'm a US Veteran and I strive to handle business with honesty and integrity. When I arrived at the dealership, I had a gut feeling they were being dishonest yet again. My military gut instincts proved to be true. I was told they sold the truck (with my wheels) on Saturday - three days before they confirmed that I could come buy back the wheels. Fast forward a week later, my gut instinct is to check out their website. What do I find? A photo of the truck I traded, for sale, with the wheels that I asked to buy back.Photo is attached. Looks like they respectfully removed all the Army Veteran stickers before offering it for sale. At least there's that. Rockwall Ford had ZERO intent to make things right. I work hard for my money and I'm sure they do too. So why not do everything you can to treat the customer with honesty, fairness, and integrity - as if you want their business and referrals again and again. Seems like a win win to me. One last thing. I recently had an appointment at the VA hospital (not only am I Veteran, I have a service connected disability. In fact we spoke about this at the car dealership in regards to my need for a comfortable monthly payment). When I drove onto the parking lot, it was full of, you guessed it - Black Pick Up Trucks. We Veterans love a good sturdy reliable truck. I spend a lot of time with Veterans. But instead of being able to brag on my recent purchase, I don't see how I cannot share the poor experience I received at Rockwall Ford. It goes without saying that I will not return to Rockwall Ford. I will ALWAYS proudly purchase American made but I don't think I'll invest in the Ford brand again. Took my 2019 F150 in because when I turned the heater on only cold air would blow. There was no noise/clicking - just strong cold air blowing through all the vents. Took it in- was told that the temp actuator has failed and needed to be placed only (over $800). Agreed to have it done. After it was completed - they informed me that NOW since the temp actuator is fixed-the transmission coolant heater control valve is partially closed and needs to be replaced ($1000 initially then spoke to the manager and the priced was decreased to $667- I declined). I was told warm air is blowing but not as strong as it should be. When my truck was returned- I cannot tell anything was done. The same COLD AIR is still blowing!!!! NO IMPROVEMENT WHATSOEVER!!!!! Not sure where to begin, but I would not trust this place, or their dishonest managers. I talked to an advisor last week to look at buying a truck, he said it was there and I could come look at it. When I was pulling in, he told me it wasn't available to see because it needed the body shop, but told me there were other vehicles in that range. As I got on the lot, he showed me a vehicle $7,000 more and $20,000 more. Told me it would be in the same range, so I spend 2 hours driving, talking numbers and trying to come to an agreement. We did not because they were out of the budget. Told him I needed to be at or below 600 a month. This week, they texted me again and said the truck I was originally looking at was ready and it would be right around 600 a month. I came out to drive it, take it to a mechanic to look at and when I get back, I mentioned 5-6 different things wrong with the vehicle from oil leaks, to leaking suspension parts, to cracked windshield. These repairs will easily cost $5,000. I showed pictures from my phone, and they came back knowing there were some significant repairs needed at said it would be 660 a month. I told you last week the number I needed to be at so the manager came to take a turn, trying to close the sale and said those leaks weren't actually there and said it wasn't a big deal. He came back and still presented with a payment higher than I told them 4 times now I needed then preceded to say it is not worth it and walked off. I am posting this because I encourage everybody to look for vehicles elsewhere, but if you do choose to go here, take it to your own mechanic. They will hide things from you and lie about. I know for sure it is going right back out to sell and they are not going to fix the leaks, which can burn up an engine if not addressed, but they are also going to hide it from any future buyer and leave you with thousands in repairs. read more

Summary: Incompetent or untrained sales staff, high-pressure tactics, ignoring customer needs to move inventory. We visited this dealership to look at some F-150s and had what can only be described as the single worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership. This includes such wonderfully reputable used car "tote-the-note" places. I'm not sure if that's because the salesperson was new (I'm trying to be generous here, she did not say she was new), if she just did not know how to handle customers who know exactly what they're looking for, if she just plain didn't know anything about trucks, or if the sales manager had a problem somewhere and wanted to get us out of the dealership. It doesn't matter, because I don't think we're ever stepping foot on this dealership again. We parked and, before we're even out of the car, we have a salesperson practically pushing us into the building rather than coming with us to see what we're interested in. She asked us what we were looking for. We laid out what we wanted and told the salesperson that we were not willing to discuss numbers at this point because right now we're doing research on the vehicles that just can't be done on the internet. Things like comfort, feel, and the undefinable factors that I like to call the "X-Factor." Of these requirements, we included "3.5L V6, max tow package, no leather, and either new or factory warranty." The first truck she showed was an "as is, no warranty" used F-150 Lariat with leather seats. And it was not the 3.5L V6. She went all the way back to the building to get another truck, which was another "as-is, no warranty" used F-150 Lariat with leather seats. At this point, I have to admit, I got upset. I told her "no used trucks" and "no leather seats." She decided to go find another truck and we decided to look around while she was doing that. We found exactly what we were looking for. She came back and we sent her to get the keys. She finally came back with the keys to that truck. We started the truck, and the fuel tank was empty. We asked to get more fuel because 3-mile estimated range is a bit too close for comfort. So, we drove to the building, she got permission to fuel it up. We drove around the back of the service building with her and she tried to pump fuel into it. I'm not sure if the truck had a problem registering the fuel, if the pump didn't deliver a registerable amount fuel in the time she took to try to fuel it, or if she did not know how to work the pump (it was more reminiscent of a farm pump instead of a gas station pump). Either way, the test drive was pretty much over at that point. We walked back to the main building, where she disappeared again. While waiting, my boyfriend and I talked, and we decided we were done. I would highly recommend going to pretty much any other Ford dealership than this one. read more

disabled single father of three. took car in for air conditioner in August. spent 1800 that I couldn't afford, 1 month later another supposed different problem another 1800, October this time it's 3,800 hundred dollars to repair, with the caveat being, what they're saying is wrong now means that the previous 1800 they made me pay was for a guess. they didn't do the work proper and nitrogen test for leaks they just rubbed their greedy hands together and started with the lower number parts to change. Part Changers don't deserve the title of Technician. and the Ford Certification must by extension be garbage . read more

Had a great experience with Ford Service and my service rep Juan. Juan kept me up to date and work was finished in 2 days

Brought my car in for a factory recall at 20,000 and about ten minutes after the service rep called and said in order for the recall to be completed I would need to pay for a front end alignment. I informed them that this should be covered on the recall as they took it out of alignment when they installed parts on the rear suspension. I was informed that this would not be covered under the recall and at time of completion my car is now out of alignment. Very poor business practice of scamming people out of there hard earned money. Will never use Rockwall ford in the future and advise all who mito do there research before Pretty generic response can't find my name in your database seen that on multiple reviews below.
