We purchased a 2015 Chevy Cruze Turbo Diesel. In all honesty, I did not think we could remotely get a brand new car. I have to say I was so surprised when Dwayne called to say we got the car that I was crying..at work...when trying to tell the hubby. It was the most pleasant car buying experience and I would rather eat dirt than car shop. My husband surprised me with the whole new car thing. Worst experience ever! I'm a Wounded Warrior, Retired Army Veteran. Calling all Veterans do not buy here! Vehicles or repairs. The Service manager tried to talk me into saying my vehicle condition was my fault because I idled it to much. My DEF fluid filter was clogged. A problem Chevrolet and other diesel truck manufactures are having. They sent me out on the road after cleaning it twice telling me to drive it over 70 and it would regen. Lol! It broke down in Fort Worth and I had to take it to a Fort Worth dealership. After the other dealership replaced the 5000$ epa filter it broke down again in Greenville. Do not buy Chevy diesel trucks. They are a nightmare. Lakeside Chevrolet is the worse dealership I have ever dealt with. They even tried to charge me for fuel for the test driving my truck. But said it was on the house after my service advisor Chuck called and asked me if he could drive it to an appointment in Greenville. Lol! Crazy! read more

I brought my 2015 Camaro here to have the stereo unlocked and apparently they don't unlock stereos here, despite having the code they gave me to unlock the stereo when I bough it. Then they had the audacity to charge me $150 just to tell me they can't fix my locked stereo, and that it would cost me around $1,200 to replace it. What an absolute joke. We had body work down here. I would not recommend this place. The paint peeled a way soon after. They said it was a lifetime guarantee. My son ( who drove in from Lubbock to take my 2014 truck back with him) and I arrived around 11:00 am on Saturday. He had the truck waiting on us. He gave me the keys and told us to take it out for a test drive and have lunch while we were out. Upon return we went to his office and proceeded with the paperwork. When he got down to the final price, it was a different figure than what I had come up with. I asked him about it. Then he dropped the problem in my lap. He didn't have anymore discount tags ($3000.00) left. Now as you can imagine, I was a little stumped. Had I read his email incorrectly? Did I miss something in the email? Did I misread his texts? He told me the tags were only good through Tuesday. He sent the email on Wednesday. Going back through the emails and texts, I discovered no dates or limitations other than hurry, in stock only, White, Pepper Dust and Black. No mention of time frame, dates, days or anything else. I wasn't happy, and if you hadn't noticed, I didn't even try and bargain with them in the price. I felt the original price was fair so I was going with it. Now I'm sitting there with my son who drove in to get my truck. We had everything planned and set. Against my better judgement, I took the deal as they gave it to me. The more I think about it, the more stunned and angry I am. I may never get any satisfaction from this other than writing this review, but they will never, never, get another purchase from me. I asked to have the upper driver's door frame fixed on my brand new 2016 Traverse because of wind noise in Texas cross winds. It was to be simple warranty work. Lakeside did nothing to fix the problem. NOTHING. Just kept it all day, did a half ass detail job and ask me to pick it up. I went home and watched a youtube video and fixed it the driveway by simply bending in the upper door frame so the seals made contact. My door panel flexes over jarring bumps, Lakeside said they couldn't hear anything. I can make it happen on the gate bump of their parking lot! Worthless service department, never offered to do a RIDE along with the customer!! read more

I did stand alone and experienced the uncomfortable staring from those behind the glass. I went to the front desk where the lady behind the counter helped and found someone. There was one guy who heard me talking with the front desk and grunted out loud. He later poked his head out and said he'll be right with me. I did confront him about the grunting, but denied it. I can't comment on the service because they didn't manage to fit me in but response time is horrible. I called twice in December to try and get my car in for some warranty work. I needed a loaner car for the day so they said they'd put me on a list. Called back about a week and a half later and was told I wasn't on the list, sorry they'd add me this time. Long story short I called Jupiter Chevrolet in Garland and had my car fixed by the next week. I just received that "we have a loaner car for you" call today. I gave them one star just for the effort of actually calling me even though it's now February. read more

They even took the wheels/tires off my trade-in, and dropped them off at my house! I love the car (obviously), and the service dept is just as expeditious. I had made an appointment to get my car looked at twice now at the Lakeside Chevy. The first time they said that they were backed up & could not look at my car, the second time, they promised to get it looked at & fixed if brought it in Thursday morning. So that's what I did, they called Friday (after dropping it off Thursday morning) & said they wouldn't be able to even get it in the shop until Saturday or Monday! Total BS! This place is horrible for service. Brought in a Yukon for an oil change, rotation, and check a check engine light. I had already check the light code (evap system). SIX days later they hadn't even looked at it. The oil and rotation were done same day. No rentals available, service team visibly could care less. I would say it was racially biased, but that was the second time I brought this vehicle there and it was the same service but from a different group of people. Ridiculous. This slime ball told me nothing was wrong with the vehicle. He said the car was thoroughly checked out by their service department and the previous owners took care of it. That scum bag failed to mention that above the dash board there was complete and total damage!! That monkey failed to tell us that they tried to cover up the damage with a dashboard cover!! This moron failed to tell us that their service department tried to cover up the problem with electric tape...which was a sloppy fix... My best car buying experience EVER! I was looking for a very specific limited production vehicle and Lakeside Chevrolet just happened to have one. I don't live in Texas so had to really put the sales staff through a million and one questions as well as have them take lots and lots of pictures. I started working with them in the morning and they were super super responsive getting the pictures to me promptly and patiently answering all of my questions. That afternoon I bought a plane ticket for the next morning to go purchase the car. Doing something that drastic is just how comfortable I was with the dealership and the assistance provided. I arrived at the airport and someone from the dealership picked me up and was very friendly - we had a great time on the drive to the dealership. Once at the dealership the folks there made me feel very welcome and they had all the details attended to and the whole process including getting the documentation done was super fast.The vehicle was exactly as described if not even nicer. The attention that they put into detailing the vehicle for delivery was incredible. They took all the time I wanted to go over the vehicle and learn all the features before I began the several hour drive home. I have been here twice with both experiences absolutely terrible. I wish I could do negative stars......Both times I brought my truck in because all the windows were scratching when rolled up and down. The first time the dealership declined it, so after me calling Chevy direct they eventually agreed to replace, but, I had to pay for new tint. This time I dropped my truck off 1 week ago. The service guy asked if I was going to wait or drop off. I told him I was going to drop off. I had all 4 windows scratching, axle popping, and check engine light would come on one day and not the next. I called the following Monday to see if they were done because know one called me. They told me I could come back to the dealership and get a loaner. I was at work and did not have time. He told me they were pulling in the shop that day and would call me back. Today wednesday 1 week later from the day I dropped off. Still had not heard from anyone. So I just decided to go pick it up and take somewhere else. When I got there they said it was ready. They declined to warranty the windows and I only have 32,500 miles on the truck, said the popping noise was because the truck has a lift and declined it, the check engine light they just said they had to reprogram. Terrible service once again from Lakeside Chevy. Also Chevy is the biggest piece of junk made. They should stand behind there product and don't! Do not buy anything Chevy! I just want to report a bad customer experience I received at Lakeside Chevrolet in Rockwall, Tx. I bought a certified Used 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 4WD Texas Edition from Huffines chevrolet in Lewisville, Tx. I also purchased a extended warranty as well. Shortly after I purchased the truck I noticed that the collision alert and Lane Departure was not working. It was not a necessity to get it fixed right away, so I waited for about 11 months and while i was on Christmas vacation, I had some time, so I dropped my truck off at Lakeside Chevrolet In Rockwall for Service to have oil change done and to have them fix the collision alert and lane departure issues I mentioned above. They had my truck for 3 days and they called me and said the truck was fixed, but ask me if the windshield has ever been replaced. I said that it has not since I have owned the truck. They proceed to tell me that I have a aftermarket windshield installed and they found the connection cables to the camera installed in the front windshield was unplugged and because the windshield is aftermarket, the labor/service will not be covered under my warranty and that I owed $59.17 for the repair. I am not trying to make a big deal about $60.00, but the whole situations just rubs me wrong. I bought a certified GM vehicle and just expected that I can take it to any cerified GM service center and I would be taken care of with issues I may have with my vehicle. The service advisor at Lakeside told me that if I had bought the truck from Lakeside that they would have taken care of the issue at no charge, but being I did not, I would have to pay the $59.17 that is due. Adviser stated if I wanted to be reimbursed, that I would need to contact Huffines where I purchased the truck and take it up with them... I did just that and spoke with the Service Manager Allen Moore at Huffines and explained what happened. Allen was very upset as to the way I was treated and apologized on there behalf and said that Lakeside should of fixed the issue at no charge, no matter if I have a aftermarket windshield or not.He told me to email him a copy of the invoice from Lakeside and that he would mail me a check to reimburse the $59.17. Allen Moore from Huffines was great, and I did receive a check as he promised, so I am very happy with the customer service I received from him... I just think that someone from Chevrolet needs to address this issue at Lakeside Chevrolet. So when they called and said it was ready it wasn't. The plug that plugs into the alternator wasn't plugged in and was ground down like it Sat on the serpentine while running. So I asked then to fix it. I asked them to solder their connections. There were also hoses out of place. They looked at me like I had done it and tried to argue. Then said they would. They called again to say it was ready. When I got there my seat and carpet was soaking wet because they didn't shut my door all the way and it had rained. The connections were crimped. And they hadn't even been crimped. Loose wires sitting in uncrimped joints. It was like a slap in the face. They charged me over $1100! I took it home and fixed it myself. The distributor they put in failed three months later. I'm reporting them to the BBB, and considering legal action. My name is Jason Tyner. This dealership dealt me the worst customer experience I've ever had. I hope that $1100 you charged me is inversely applied to your bottom line by 100 fold. Was it worth it? read more
