Loved the place. It's hardly half a mile after crossing the border. Good place to take a break after a long queue at the border. We went for a coffee, cappuccino, veggie omelette bowl and an apple walnut salad. They, unfortunately, ran out of walnuts, so it was substituted by pecans. Everything was great. Loved the omelette and the salad. Salad would have been better with arugula and spinach instead of lettuce though. The staff were nice and friendly. Nice clean place. There is street parking outside and a parking lot across the street. Definitely recommended! read more

I love finding hidden gems while traveling, and this is one of them. Rare to find a coffee shop with baked goods, many kinds of coffee drinks and their roasted coffee, roasted right there. For baked goods, tried the pineapple coconut muffin - sweet, sticky goodness; blueberry scone - more muffin / cake like than I generally like, but still tasty; walnut cinnamon crumb cake - excellent. I had an iced coffee which was fair - probably will try another drink next time. For the roast coffee - I bought a bag of the Moka Java - wow. Well blended, and perfectly roasted. This blend rivals anything I've ever gotten from the major retailers. Service was friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating inside. This is well worth coming into town before heading to Vermont or Canada. read more

On our scenic drive from Montreal to Boston, we happened upon this adorable little town and this fantastic coffee shop. Parking was easy on the street and we were impressed by the variety and quality of the coffees, smoothies, shakes, bagels and the spot itself. The staff could not have been more pleasant and the snack got us through all the way back home. Even though they were busy, the staff still found time for a smile and chit chat with us. 10/10- would definitely make it a point to swing through again when in the area! read more

Very Disappointed I have visited Lakeside several times in the past and have been satisfied. Our last visit on Sunday a. We arranged to meet my daughter and friend for lunch, based on current website and past experiences. We arrived at 12:45 PM for lunch. One of our guests is wheelchair bound and profoundly handicapped. There was a step that had to be negotiated that would not allow a wheelchair and patron to traverse. We asked the people behind the counter if there was a handicapped entrance. They said no and continued their routine and did not offer assistance. Fortunately a guest at a nearby table helped us lift the handicapped person out of wheelchair and into the restaurant. Going to place our order, we were told they only were serving breakfast. A small menu with a few items and baked goods. We were told that during the Summer they decided to serve breakfast only. This was not noted on Yelp or their website. The breakfast was Okay but not what we were expecting. They should note this on their website and be in compliance with regulations providing access to handicapped (ADA). A simple removable ramp would have been an inexpensive alternative. read more

Still Awesome On my bicycle rides around the northern part of the lake, I've been stopping at Lakeside Coffee for more than ten years. I usually get the turkey gobbler sandwich . . . this time on panini - outstanding. The dark roast coffee was excellent. Bathrooms clean. The staff and Management are most welcoming. This is a great place to stop by for a short break or have a light lunch if you're just passing through Rouses Point or to just get out of the house and read. I love the decor. It's so roomy, fresh, modern, hip and so clean (except maybe the windows could be cleaned more often). Their coffee and teas are great. They roast their own coffee on the premises and use loose leaf tea. I love their caprese panini and grilled cheese sandwich. Always ate up every last crumb. The pastries they serve are locally made by a local bakery and is very good to go with that fresh hot brewed coffee. The people that work there are nice and seem to enjoy being there. There is even free wi-fi. It's big enough to accommodate large groups. read more

My brother, wife and I stopped by here the other morning for breakfast. Had never set foot in the place and I have to say I was very impressed. They have a very cool, mildly hip, understated decor, although the couches were not nearly as comfortable as they looked. The service was very friendly, and the coffee was quite tasty. My brother and wife had a "Pig" panini, while I went for the roast beef one, all of which were very tasty. This place is definitely worth a stop if you're in the area or just driving through. read more

You know what I like about Lakeside? Everything. I live somewhere between New York and civilization, and Lakeside is a good in between spot where I can start the caffeination portion of my weekend. They have beans from all over (if you're into knowing every little detail about your source), a good selection of food options, an awesome setup and some pretty sweet art hanging around on the walls. In addition to this, they like to try new and different things and they might have even exceeded my level of excitement when I recently asked them to make a London Fog. A while ago, in Canada, I tried this drink of steamed milk, Earl Grey and sweetener, and I was hooked. I'd forgotten about it until I saw an article about the drink's origins, at which point I decided to pick up a new hot beverage habit. Not only were the people at LC willing to try out this little experiment, they took to researching the sitch so that they could perfect the tasty beverage without any poking or prodding from yours truly. Amongst other things, Lakeside Coffee is a chill little place to get your day started...and I kinda like hauling ass through dairy fields to get there...it brings a much needed spot of happiness to the dull weekends one would normally spend in the Green Mountain State. read more

What a great place! We were so happy to have lunch here on our way back from Canada. It's spacious, very clean with good sandwich, smoothies and coffee choices. I had the Gobbler and it was delicious! They are very friendly and open until 3PM. They have free WiFi. They're along the water and the town is super quaint. Also, they have plenty of seating. Kris Duus and her staff provide the highest quality food and beverages in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whenever I traveled to Rouses Point for business, I would stop in and grab a coffee or sandwich and utilize their Wi-Fi, which is an asset not all businesses have. This was a great find in upstate NY. Best coffee around hands down. The coffee alone is worth the drive from Plattsburgh. The great food, friendly service, atmosphere, and low prices sealed the deal. They know what they are doing with freshly roasted coffee blends. I sampled two varieties, and I was impressed by both, loved the Moka Java. The breakfast burrito and homemade donuts were excellent. If your out on the lake or hiking trails, this is a great place to start the day. read more

I wanted to give them 4 stars but after I paid for my drink I gave them the loyalty card to get a stamp and she said we only do that for regular coffee and tea. A friend of mine works at a coffee shop and is a fan of coffee, so for her birthday I decided to go online and look for a place that does their own coffee. I found Lakeside Coffee online, liked their website and ordered a couple different types of coffee. The staff was very helpful, was delivered to Colorado quickly and the coffee was very fresh and smelled awesome. At Lakeside Coffee we roast all of our coffees in the store and have created unique blends. We also offer medium and dark roasted coffees. We should change our name to Lakeside Cafe considering how much our breakfast and lunch menus have grown. We offer breakfast items including a breakfast sandwich, crumb cakes, pound cakes, muffins donuts, bagels, homemade cream cheeses. History

Established in 2008.

We opened our shop at the end of December 2007. We did major renovations to the building. We are located in a wonderful community along Lake Champlain on the border of Canada and Vermont. Its an historic village that is in the process of revitalization. Several projects have been complete and more are in the works. I am proud to be a part of this village and employ all local residents. My staff are very involved with the evolution of this business and have played a vital role with the menu and our quality reputation.

I worked for a coffee shop in college and then became a social worker. After doing that job for 7 years, it was time for a change. Luckily, I was able to pursue my true passion and dream, to own my own coffee shop. I have been doing this for almost 3 years and I love it.
