After checking numerous reviews and website menus, It appeared to me that Twisted Carrot was one of…read morethe most interesting restaurants in the area, in terms of menu and atmosphere. My dinner experience there certainly lived up to expectations. The restaurant is small, seating maybe about 30 people. I wouldn't call it intimate, but I would call it friendly. The menu items are enjoyably named, with some interesting ingredient and flavor combinations. Service is fast and friendly; 3 servers can take care of all the tables quite nicely, with time for fun conversation as you go. The cocktail list is small, and the drinks are simply garnished, but everything we tried was quite flavorful and reasonably priced. As an appetizer, the Moo Moo Dippers, filled with shaved ribeye and corned beef and combined with the remoulade sauce for dipping. were addicting. My salmon filet came atop a bed of roasted sweet potato and corn hash and a sauce on top to give it more interesting presentation and flavor. The pork medallions were similarly appealing. We passed on dessert, because most of the offerings had some form of caffeine in them (e.g., boozy affogato), but I'm certain they would have been equally delicious. I was surprised the restaurant closed so early on days they're actually open, i.e., 8pm. So if you want convenient dining, get there early for dinner, because it does fill up.

I came back into town for a few days and stopped by to get some food for my trip and noticed they had a cafe serving sammie's and smoothies and had to try one. They were all dedicated GF which was so amazing since I have celiac disease and it's really hard to find good freshly prepared food without risking cross contact & getting sick. I got the avocado toast sandwich and it was AMAZING! Also grabbed a matcha latte & pumpkin pie on my way out which both hit the spot. Hailey the owner (I hope i spelled that correctly) was the sweetest and I had a great conversation with her about nutrition. The co-op itself has so many gluten free, vegan, organic and locally sourced food options to buy in bulk or by the package. I love the environment they create here and the workers are always so friendly and helpful. They also have a section of pre-made food (most of which is vegan) and it all looks freshly made and delightful! The co-op is definitely one of the only places around here that i miss on the daily basis :,) Definitely recommend stopping by!

There was only the high table by the kitchen door left but the food more than made up for it. We started with the fried calamari and garlic breadsticks. Calamari was tender and crisp, cooked to perfection and served with a tang sauce. They served the tentacles which is my favorite part! Breadsticks were toasted strips of Italian bread swimming in garlic. 4 may seem like a small serving but it was just enough of a carb. I had the stuffed chicken breast which was delicious, filled with prosciutto and fresh spinach. Filling dinner with enough left for lunch. My aunt had a cheese burger and the truffle parm fries . I didn't try the burger but it looked amazing! Thick, juice and cooked to order. The fries were a 10/10 so amazing! Crispy and delicious served with the best horseradish sauce Ive ever had Smooth and creamy with the perfect amount of heat to make your eyes water! If nothing else try the fries!!! After such a meal we had no room for dessert and leftovers. Our waiter Keegan was attentive and followed us out to bring us our togo boxes we forgot. So if ur down by the base I strongly suggest checking out this bistro

Their drink menu had some beer on tap, beer in cans and bottles, wine, mixed drinks, frozen drinks, and mocktails. The food menu had a variety of apps, some salads, handhelds, and entrees. I ordered a beer and the fish tacos which came with two tacos and fries. They tasted great! We sat at the bar since the weather was so poor they didn't want to seat people outside (understandable since it was raining sideways earlier that day). Overall this is a place you come for the view and to enjoy beautiful weather. Food is pretty good and service was quick too. Parking is the only wonky thing since we came early in the season so the boats weren't in the water yet.

Pretty extensive menu as well as an extensive microbrew, imports and standard bottled American beer. Bartender outside disappears constantly- getting supplies, bringing food to the bar, etc. etc. so there was a lot of waiting for drinks. It was pretty clear. He had very little help at a very busy bar. Don't they hire barbacks anymore? Food was pretty good- fish tacos and salads were decent. Ambiance is crushed because there was no music. Well the music was on but it was barely perceptible. Ever worse, whoever the genius was who set up the speakers at the tiki bar pointed the speakers directly into the bar rather than out to the people, so the IF the music was turned up to to an acceptable volume, my guess is the bartender wouldn't be able to interact with the customers. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Listen this is an outside marina bar and Grill., people are vacationing drinking partying, eating, trying to have a great time and there's barely any perceptible music playing. Great way to destroy the ambience. Any bar owner will tell you there's more to food and drinks in a restaurant in this place just made us not want to stay- so we didn't. We'll try again.
