What hasn't changed is the quality of the food, the availability of triple chocolate brownies and popcorn 24/7, refreshing mint cucumber water, and treats in bowls scattered throughout the common areas. Elaine and Robert run a place that is impeccably clean and incredibly hospitable. They are very quick to address any concern or engage in friendly conversation. It is obvious they are experts in providing guests with an enjoyable stay. We stayed in the Ivy Room in the Manor. It isn't large, and it is at the top of the main stairs, but it's quiet and was just fine for us. The common areas are perfectly appointed for reading or eating or playing games. We had breakfast in the morning and played table games at night on the screened porch, which is lovely and especially charming in the dark. Re: things to do, there is plenty to keep you occupied at the B&B. We spent most of our days wandering around South Haven--walks on the beach, sunset at the pier, going into town for shopping and meals--or in other nearby lake towns, though, and relished the peace of the inn later in the day. If you are there when it's not crowded (e.g., during the week), YMBB has a pedal-powered surrey you can borrow! I will say, I was worried about the change in breakfast service since last time the buffet was amazing. My concern was unfounded, though--being served was delightful and the food options expanded with the inclusion of specialty entrees. We were provided with amuse-bouches of local blackberries with a dollop of whipped cream, plates of a variety of other local fruits, and plenty of choices from the standard and changing menus. My husband enjoyed the decadent quiches and I was happy to see steel-cut oatmeal on offer (with vanilla rhubarb syrup!). We discovered how wonderful hummus or sweet potato could be in the morning, too. Elaine expanded my idea of what breakfast could be, both for myself and at a B&B; I didn't miss casseroles, muffins, or bacon/sausage at all (like what we've had at other places). A special touch that highlights their personalized service -- I mentioned to Robert one afternoon that I meant to tell Elaine to save me some of the edges that are trimmed off before the triple chocolate brownies are served. He found some for me within a few minutes and, when my husband and I arrived at breakfast the next morning, there was a plate of them put side with plastic wrap and a note with my name. So thoughtful! Those chewy edges are my FAVORITE. Even in the smallest, least expensive room, we consider a trip to YMBB a special treat. We are the kind of couple who travels by car and engages in cheap adventures (hiking, camping, etc.). Going away without a planned itinerary is out of my comfort zone...usually. This long weekend of relaxation and restoration convinced me there's another way, and the treatment we received at Yelton Manor was no small part of that.

We did meet some nice people during our stay. Overall, we appreciated the location and its proximity to the lake and beach, but we would not choose to stay here again.

The reviews, both on Yelp and from my parents, don't lie. I was so happy that I ended up here and not at one of the other neighboring B&Bs. My favorite part was legit the afternoon popcorn and cookies. SO YUMMY! Breakfast was great too with an amazing view. I only wish that we were there longer so we could take advantage of the proprietor's knowledge of the area and get some recommendations of things to do. We were so tired from new parent life that we basically just napped the weekend away, but it was still a lovely place to do that.

They have renovated since the last time I was here and I love the updates. The location is perfect, a couple blocks from the beach and a short walk to town. This visit we stayed in the Hawthorn king-size room. The room had a Jacuzzi bathroom, a comfortable king size bed and a large balcony. Every space throughout the inn is well appointed and clean. Kevin, the innkeeper, is warm and engaging. He sees to your every need and we looked forward to seeing him every day. The breakfasts provided every morning in the dining room are delicious and beautifully presented. Coffee or tea is available anytime of the day in a little room off the dining area. The inn is secured with a keypad on the front door so only the guests have access, and there's plenty of parking on site as well. I highly recommend Inn at the Park.

I did appreciate all the plates and cutlery that was given for our special dinner. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in our cabin (yes, wonderful AC). I really enjoyed the bikes that the resort provides. Riding around the blueberry fields was a very peaceful and bonding experience. This resort was a wonderful experience for my family. I don't think any of us will ever forget our stay.

If there were things to do onsite, we were not made aware. We did go on a mimosa hike with the owner but she didn't elaborate or engage with everyone in the group. The staff is only there limited hours and did not provide a lot of information upon arrival. While in the pool the staff came in and had discussions about other people and seemed to do a lot of gossiping, which is in poor taste in front of guests. This may be the place for some people but we would not recommend it.

Our site was sand/grass and level, with full hook up and pull-through. Martin is super friendly and made sure we were okay as we set up. And our neighbors were very nice. Okay, for the fun stuff - we had less than a 5 minute walk to Lake Michigan and beach walking. This isn't the part of the beach with lots to do. For that, you'll need to hop on a bike or drive. I imagine in the summer and on weekends, this place is busy and louder; we stayed on a weeknight and it was fantastically quiet - best night's sleep we've had this trip. A lot of full-timers here. We rented two Motel Rooms this last weekend in South Haven for two nights for our family. The…read moretotal cost for a Friday and Saturday Night was just under $1,000.00. I rented here because the reviews online that I had read were better than good, but when I really dug into other review sites once I returned home, other than where I booked from, I found a completely different story. I want to make sure that there is a fair recommendation out there for people to really make up their mind on whether or not they should stay here. First, I do want to mention that the owners were very polite to us and we have no issue with them. Also, there is a charm to these old-style motel rooms including the beautiful tile in the bathrooms. Additionally, there are new entry doors with digital locks as well as new windows. And true, this place is serene and great if you like peace and quiet - but still, there are many additional things to take into consideration. Although the rooms appear nice in the pictures, there are still issues like water damaged ceilings, water damaged bathroom doors, leaky tub fixtures (which were also way out of date and require replacing), drywall that needs to be retaped and mudded as well as a musty smell to the rooms that don't show up in pictures. One of the two rooms had bugs, but not because the room was dirty and I'm not talking cock roaches, just bugs. The reason? The wall air conditioner is not sealed on the sides and bugs get in through the outside vent, and then through the side panels that are not sealed against the air conditioner. There were also some inconsistencies like one of the rooms had a microwave, one didn't. One had information about your stay, one didn't. There is no coffee maker or ironing board in the room, but you could ask at the front desk to use these items (listed in the information about the room) we did not, we might have used these items had they been in the room, but since it was not readily available, we just made other arrangements. Again, I really want to be fair here - but these basic amenities plus others like ice were not available to us. Additionally, there was no pool, there was no breakfast. The thing that is really agitating and I think that is important for travelers to know is that there is NOTHING here that justifies the room rates and just because it is in South Haven doesn't justify the price. The weekend before and as a part of this trip, we stayed in a Comfort Inn and Suites that had a nice, comfortable, up to date room, with an indoor pool and included breakfast for $120.00 per room per night in the Wisconsin Dells. For what I paid at Jensen's, it feels like we stayed in a dump.

I can't fully put into words what she did for us that weekend, but her kindness, generosity, and compassion were unlike anything I've experienced from someone I had just met. She helped us feel my dad's presence with us even though he couldn't physically be there. Big Blue Rentals exceeded every expectation, and Mandy made this trip one we will carry with us forever. As life would have it, we need to cut our trip short for a family (eldery parents) situation for 2 nights, instead of 3, at Sunny Brook. Elaine explained to us, very firmly and matter of factly, that they will nor refund or give consideration for the 3rd night. As avid RVers, I find that odd. We are not in the habit of reducing our trips or canceling but, I find the matter of fact-Ness and non consideration unappealing.

It's not that close to the lake but they have a pool and hot tub. It's a lot of big rigs but they allow some of slummers lol but your camper must be 10 yrs old or less and the older ones must send a picture to be approved Nice big lots and cement pads Fire pits are slightly behind your spot and lots of room. They do have permanent sites and they have their own pool and clubhouse. They pick up your garbage every morning. On weekends they sometimes have music and food that you have to pre order. We did not par take. EVERYONE was so nice and friendly. EXCEPT FOR THE OLD GUY THAT GOT OUT OF THE POOL TO CLIP HIS TOE NAILS AND LEFT THEM NEXT TO HIS CHAIR AT THE POOL‍ Lots of dogs which I loved! Very quiet when we were there We would go back.
