My usual go-to is a burger w fries, and TRTAH does a great job w them, but opted today for a steak sandwich w carmelized onions, green peppers, and cheese on Italian bread (you can also get it w pizza dough, calzone style). BB had a pastrami on rye. Both came w French fries. My hero (grinder to you locals) was mouthwatering. The bread was lightly toasted and perfect. Everything else was melded together. My taste buds did a happy dance! BB said the pastrami was very lean. French fries are hand cut, and salted perfectly. One suggestion...if you have high blood pressure, get them unsalted from the kitchen, and salt (or not) to your heart's content. I think I have a new go-to. 5 yummmmmy stars

Came here after a day of kayaking and we were in pretty quick for a Friday night…read more We ordered the rodeo burger with hot garlic wings with a spicy margarita. Everything was very good. The rodeo burger has bbq sauce, French fried onions and bacon topped with cheddar cheese. The fries were my least favorite. A little soggy and over cooked. The hot garlic wings were good. The wings were decent size, not those skimpy small wings. The spicy margarita was okay. It tasted a little watery. Service was okay, but we found ourselves waiting a while (last customers on deck) and had to go inside to pay when we wanted to leave.

"Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in…read morethe autumn mist in a land called Honalee" (Peter, Paul and Mary) Some of our disappointment with Autumn Mist was based on our false assumption that they had a sit-down restaurant on their premises. Why did we assume that? Well, their big on-line menu coupled with its reference to "restaurant" on their website sure had something to do with it. Here's a quote from their website: "Our Farm-to-Table Restaurant & Retail oasis is a celebration of community, sourcing all of the all-natural beef we serve from our farm, just minutes away!" So, we were pretty surprised to only see an ordering counter and freezer cases when we walked in. But we did get over our disappointment when we walked around their showroom where the walls were jam packed with meats and prepared foods in refrigerated and freezer cases. Steaks, roasts, soups, and prepared entrees were everywhere. The selection was pretty dazzling. We learned that they had a nice feature with their prepared entrees, namely buy one get a second for half off. We bought a two pretty big frozen trays of Chicken Marsala with rice and broccoli, and beef Stir Fry with veggies and noodles. I just put them on our kitchen scale, and each are between a pound and a pound and a half. One was $10.70 and the second was marked down to $5.35, so that's at least two (probably more) very nice dinners for around $8 each. One sour note was the unsmiling, unfriendly cold shoulder customer service experience. Barely a word was spoken by the woman who processed our order.

I can say that the lunch delivered but there are no actual farm animals at this place even though the name suggests a farm. It's more of a gravel parking lot with some picnic tables and the store itself which sells AMAZING burgers and various frozen cuts of beef. There's no AC or bathrooms on premise. But the seated area has some ceiling fans. The shop owners were super friendly and helped answer my questions about the type of beef I was looking for. Really fresh meat and a lovely find!

"Take the last train to Clarksville I'll be waiting at the…read morestation We'll have time for coffee flavored kisses And a bit of conversation" (The Monkees) Congamond Coffee & Café has a large and very beautiful seating area with a very eclectic furniture mix. I saw wood dining room chairs, upholstered living room chairs, small tables, big tables that would be at home in your dining room, sofas, love seats, and game tables for checkers. And to make things even better was the generous spacing between the tables, so you never get the feeling that you're crammed in next to another party who might overhear your deepest darkest self-incriminating statements. We stopped in for late morning coffee and pastries, and learned their coffee is a special kind of coffee. Their coffee is "shade-grown" meaning the beans are allowed to ripen more slowly to enhance the flavor. We ordered an Americano (2 oz. Espresso, 6 oz. Water for $3.50), a drip coffee, a Cinnamon Bun ($4.50), and a Spinach Feta Danish. I had the Americano and the Danish and they were both very good. I never heard of "shade grown" coffee before, but I was impressed with the flavor profile. And that Spinach Feta Danish was fantastic. Congamond has a big food and drink menu with coffees, lattes, chais, smoothies, and hot chocolate, breakfast, lunch, and snack selections. The only less than stellar component of our experience was customer service. Yes, our orders were taken and announced promptly, but there was no hint of friendliness, courtesy, or customer engagement at all. Perfunctory kind of says it best.
