The staff is professional, very attentive and caring and I highly recommend this loving facility to take care of your loved one when the time comes. The facility is well-managed and very clean. My mom always looked fresh and well cared for during our visits, and her room and bedding were always immaculate. There are many activities to keep the residents engaged, like Bingo, music, and puzzles. They even had an artist come in and give the residents a painting lesson, which I thought was really cool! I was notified immediately whenever they had a health concern about my mom, and prompt action was always taken. My brother and I will be forever grateful for the peace and comfort we felt knowing our mother was well cared for, safe, and loved. Our mother recently passed away peacefully at age 94. Because of the loving care they gave our momma, my brother and I plan to stay in touch with our friends at Lakewood Gardens because we consider them extended family, we are blessed! When i visit, my patient is always clean, room is tidy, no odor and well organized. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to patient specific care. They have group activities, exercises and different events to keep their residents busy and healthy physically, mentally and socially. This place is highly recommended.

When my dad entered the Villa he had a stroke and was not able to walk but staff had him on a exercise routine and in no time he was able to use his walker to get around again. The environment was comfortable for his friends to visit like at his home. It is a very clean and manicured place. They have a cook for daily meals and David and Issac were very loving to my father. I was comfortable leaving my dad there giving me peace of mind and I am eternally grateful to the Villa.

She says the food is always great, and the workers are marvelous. They recently took all the members to the park for a day and she said it was so nice and well organized that they all had a wonderful time. The staff has been extremely helpful since she began going and they have still maintained the same level of helpfulness as well as a tremendous amount of patience in working with all the other people that go.

Giving her laxitives on a regular basis even though she had no constipation issues, being rude and condescending to her on a regular basis, and worst of all, they tried to make her take meds she KNEW were not hers! Fortunately I was there and watched mom refuse to take the meds, and even I told the nurse that the meds were not familiar to us. Different types colors and sizes of pills than she normally takes. They gave us the names of the drugs and it was wrong. Nurse finally, exasparated because mom would not take the meds, went to show me in my mom's chart where the doc had ordered them, finally came back with THE WRONG CHART! The meds were for the paitent NEXT to my mom. Never ever will I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good nursing facility.

My brother was here 3 weeks recently and overall we had a very good experience. Like all, I think they are alittle understaffed, but did their best. Here are some things we liked - -It was fairly easy to talk with our case mgr Michelle, and overall she was very helpful and supportive. -Loved their PT staff. -They answer the phones, so you can actually get a live person almost every time -It was very clean and cheerful. Some SNFs are really worn down and depressing, this one was not. -They had nice outdoors areas if you wanted to go outside, and the times we were there, we always found a parking spot. Like all SNFs, hospitals, etc I highly recommend family come and support whoever is in there. I found that helped alot as he was there a few days and they did not realize he had hearing aids that had to be charged, he had a cell phone, he needed bigger food portions, etc. Since he wasn't doing well, he needed family to advocate. There were small things like I wish the TV in his room could tilt or pull out since he barely could see it at the angle and how far it was, and he seemed to always be hungry. He needed some medical things done (ie 5 large bladder stones removed) but neither the SNF or hospital would do it, so maybe neither could, but it was very frustrating.

The variety of activities throughout the day is phenomenal. I love that I can call the main number to have the food menu & activities calendar sent via my gmail. Annie Sciarra from Care Patrol was instrumental in supporting the family with a smooth transition to assisted living.
