The gal working said "yah but barely I'm almost out of coffee so I was going home". I asked if she had enough to make a latte so she did. It was super burnt tasting. She was definitely not in a hurry so I hoped it would be the best latter of my life, but that was not the case. I am at the inn for 10 days and wanted to love it here but ended up just buying a coffee maker and coffee at rite aid in McCall and have been making my own drip coffee. Cash and card accepted. Very slow service. Drive thru so don't worry about parking and obvi no bathrooms!

It has knick nacks and essential oils for sale and a mix of older seating arrangements. Our barista was a sweet gal who patiently smiled at my husband's awkward chit chat. My expectations were set at about a 3 for coffee. But I'm so happy to report that my preconceived notions were blown sky high!! We each got a hot medium drip coffee. Turns out they do an unpretentious but perfect pour over using DOMA coffee. And she even steamed some half and half for our dollop of cream. It was smooth, nutty and without a drop of acid. I might have to drive the 70 miles back from Boise just for another cuppa.

This is a must stop on the way to McCall or if you're in the area…read more Many of their pastries have a huckleberry option. We got a huckleberry bar, chocolate bar, hot chocolate, and huckleberry mocha. The pastries were the lightest I've had in a long time. The frosting was perfectly light as well. I was surprised my mocha had real pieces of huckleberry in it! That tells you how fresh ingredients are! Staff was friendly and the interior was very inviting. There is not much room so if there is a line, be patient. There is a small fee for paying with plastic so if you have cash, use it.

I visited the bakery twice during my weekend in Donnelly. On the first day, my husband and I shared a breakfast burrito (scrambled eggs, sausage, salsa, hash browns, dried, cheese, wrapped with a wheat tortilla, $7.00), a cream cheese lemon muffin ($3.00) and a huckleberry donut ($2.00). The burrito was delicious. It was generously packed with all the goods and served at the perfect temperature. Full of flavor, I didn't even need any hot sauce. The muffin was rich, baked with a yummy ball of cream cheese in the middle. You'll want a big glass of milk to go with this one. The huckleberry donut was absolutely out-of-this-world. The frosting was wonderfully creamy and bursting with flavors of fresh, Idaho huckleberry. If you're a tourist, this is a MUST TRY. On day two, my husband ordered another burrito because he was so impressed with the first. I went for the breakfast sandwich ($7.00) which was unlike any I had ever had before. It's a thick slice of delicious, homemade frittata (eggs, cheese, green chiles, salsa, sour cream, dried onion and flour ) with cheddar cheese between two slices of focaccia. I can't say enough good things about it. Each bite was phenomenal. The frittata was incredibly well seasoned as was the focaccia. I will be returning for this sandwich and more sweet treats. The service is outstanding as well. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. Flight of Fancy is a GEM. I can only hope it sticks around for many, many years!
