Nice cozy cafe for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Owners/server are very friendly(Jim/Kim/Monica). Still need to go there Sat night when they have band playing.

This 'gem' in the heart of Idaho is a must stop when passing through. Stopped in Ola to watch the solar eclipse 2017. They were prepared with a pancake breakfast to feed up all the people who came to see the moon blot out the sun. I recommend to stop by for a cup of joe or soda.

My personal favorite is The Lumberjack but they are all so good. Their salads are also great. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming too.

We were passing through town at dinnertime and took a chance on eating at a small town pizza joint…read more We were surprised and delighted with the quality of the pizza here! Fresh ingredients, homemade sauces, and a tasty crust were all used on some unique pizzas. My wife built her own while I ordered the Chicken Carbonara which includes a spinach artichoke heart cream sauce with fresh mushrooms, bacon, chicken, tomatoes, and onions. It was superb and I'm not a fan of heavy cream sauces like alfredo; this was a lighter cream sauce. My wife ordered a build-your-own pepperoni mushroom pizza with light sauce and loved it. The only criticism was that the crusts were a little overdone, especially my wife's which was black on parts of the bottom, but you could not taste a burnt flavor. The service was average; the attendant at the counter could not tell us the answers to some detailed questions and didn't make any effort to find out but the service time was typical for a fresh-made pizza on a fairly busy Tuesday night. The place was very popular for both dine-in and take-out. There is an outside covered patio which more than doubles the small inside dining space. The inside is LOUD so don't expect a quiet intimate conversation when you go. The place could use a little attention to detail in clean-up, the bathroom door had dirt and grime that could have been easily removed. Sizes are small, medium, large and extra large and value increases with size, naturally. The prices are not inexpensive but we felt that the quality of the pies was worth the cost. We are pleased to have found a good spot to eat while we are out on western Idaho day trips.

However, we overheard an unsettling conversation between the manager and a waiter. She was yelling at him in an unprofessional manner in front of the customers. If that's how she acts in front of customers, I don't even wanna know how she acts behind closed doors. It was so unprofessional and made us all uncomfortable

This place has a line out the door and 45 minute wait on what should be a dead night in downtown,…read morethat says a lot. The service was fast, as we didn't wait the full 45 minutes before being seated. Upon walking in you see an upscale modern atmosphere, and date night ambiance. I felt underdressed as usual in my shorts, but was welcomed nonetheless. We ordered the potato fingerlings, because when in Boise you order potatoes. However I wasn't much of a fan, tasted more like grocery store potato wedges. The other appetizer was the meatballs, which is served with a garlic bread I wish I had an entire loaf of. It was really good and though it seems small it was good enough when cut up, maybe it could've done with 1 more meatball and definitely some more bread. For dinner the kid had a half cheese half crispy pepperoni pizza, which of course he didn't like, not like the chain pizza shops he's used to but I had some and it was delicious. He did like the crust, and still ate a couple sliced. I shared a half Bronco, half Honey Badger pizza with the missus. Everything was good, but the honey badger's grilled onions overwhelmed the taste. My favorite was the Bronco which our California transplant server recommended. It had a nice spice to it that hits the back of your throat just enough to wake you up but not enough to have you reaching for a drink. I already recommended this place to friends that live in the area. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.
