Great service, great drinks, local causal vibe. The shrimp po boy my hubby got was excellent! They know how to fry stuff! The chicken tender I had was moist and tender. The red bean andouille and rice was flavorful. Mash potatoes and gravy was good, but I would stick with all their other stuff.

Popular stop for locals and visitors, we were lucky to grab a table for 4 outside on a busy summer day. From the pot roast to burgers and gumbo, all of the food is delicious home cookin' from the south. Service team is friendly. Ordering is done at the counter and food is delivered to you hot. I line the variety of local beers on tap too.

We were not sure what to think by the outer appearance of the restaurant, however you go inside and it's really quaint. Everyone is super friend. You order up front and find a sit. They bring the food to the table. Food was very good.

Fried chicken (aka heat lamp) - tuff, dry, warm.

The staff is super friendly and very welcoming. Unfortunate the food was a big disappointment. I ordered the fried chicken and noticed it arrived really fast and wasn't hot. I'm guessing by the dry chicken and the tuff texture it was sitting under a really weak heat lamp for a while. The white cheddar Mack saved was really good so I didn't have to choke down the majority of the chicken. Sorry for the low review , but I've had better fried chicken at a trick stop. Make it fresh for every customer so it doesn't suck.

Another memorable meal on our family vacation. The food and service were great. The Cesar salad, the roast beef sandwich, shrimp poyboy and the fried chicken dinner were hits with all of us. The tater tots were very tasty. The staff were super friendly. The sweet tea passed the Alabama test. Highly recommend

All the wait staff were excellent. They came by several times to make sure everything was okay. The food came out quick, although the pub wasn't busy. Oh yes, to the food. The squeeze and I shared an order of finger steaks and fries. It is our norm to split an order for lunch. The meat tasted good, nice and tender. Spices in the coating decent. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The dip for the finger steaks had a good amount of horseradish in it, wasn't overpowering but put heat into the bite. They did bring an extra plate, which was nice, and not to be charged for it is even better. They may have added some extra fries and fingers, don't know, but we were more than satisfied with the quality and quantity. Hippy Hopped Pale Ale had a nice taste of hops, kind of like a session IPA. The Mackinaw Red brew was oh so malty! It was a little cool in there.

The pretzel was good, and the hot, spicy mustard was good. Good for a mid-day snack after skiing. The place was kind of broken/trashy. We were sitting at the bar and noticed that the brewing supplies were a little gross. I thought brewers were clean? The signs were not updated and had a make-shift feeling. Sad to see what was once a great brewery is now trying to pick up its pieces.

Honestly, the only good things I can say are that the location is great (right in the heart of…read moretown, with water views if you get a window seat) and the reservation process was simple online. We made a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday, and honestly, they weren't packed (they still had plenty of tables open). When we arrived there was no one at the host stand, and when they came they didn't check us in right away. Once we confirmed the reservation it took about 10 minutes for us to be seated, and there was a couple that came after us that had a reservation at the same time and were seated before us (okay, no big deal). We did get a window seat, which was nice. But this is supposed to be an upper scale restaurant in the area, and the silverware we were given was dirty, so not a great start. The server came to take our order, we ordered mocktails and a huckleberry lemon drop as well as the bread basket and the cured meat and cheese plate- compared to the Cutwater, honestly, no comparison. The teens didn't even drink the mocktail (which the server did take off the bill, and that was nice) and the lemon drop was okay. The bread basket and meat plate were fine, but we wouldn't order them again. My son ordered the 12oz ribeye (which was nearly 60.00) and I would say at least 50% of it was fat, and his was overcooked. I ordered the flat iron, and mine was undercooked, so he ended up eating mine. The herb roasted potatoes needed seasoning and felt like something they simply tossed on the plate. My daughter's Caesar salad was as expected to a side salad. Our server never came to check on us after the food was brought out, and we waited for her to return after we were done with the food for nearly 20 minutes. Overall we were disappointed and not truly certain why this place is recommended above other similar places in town. Very expensive, seems like it is trying to be upscale or more "fine-dining" but it missed the mark for us.

Bottom Line: THE Best Place to Eat in McCall!!!…read more Went there on Father's Day without a reservation and ended up getting take out. We had our retriever with us and it 80 degrees so we couldn't wait for a patio table. All that said, especially if you have kids or a dog this is the best place to eat in Mccall. The Food: we got the spaghetti and meatballs $18.99 and a small Caesar salad with grilled chicken $14.75 and they were both good. 4.5/5 The value was reasonable for McCall which can be pricey being a ski town and inflation. The Venue: this is nicest venue in McCall which is kid and dog friendly. Large lawn area with corn hole games and lawn chairs. Nice dog friendly patio with table umbrellas. Large parking lot. 5/5 The Service: it was Fathers Day and it was really crazy. They were doing the best they could. They are very young adults so be nice and patient, it's probably their first job. 4/5

The service was fantastic and our server made great recommendations. The cheese curds are a MUST! Hands down the best we've ever had. They do 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas, which was amazing- so we tried 3 of their most popular and a regular pepperoni. We got the chicken popper (our favorite hands down and a must try) the Mac and cheese (2nd favorite- I would add bacon next time to elevate it even more), the BBQ chicken (our least favorite, but still good) and the pepperoni- classic, and can't go wrong. The location is great, the restaurant is nice and the service was wonderful. A must try if you're in the area.
