This is my 2nd time visiting LALA in St Pete and had a blast! Went with a large group on a Sunday for brunch (reservation made a couple days beforehand) and we all enjoyed it. I ordered the chicken and waffles as I wanted a bit of savory and sweet. I meant to ask for the berry compote on the side, but forgot. However, the berry compote on top of the waffles was actually pretty nice and added to the meal. I also ordered the Black Truffle Mac and Cheese. Me and my friend ordered that last time and we chowed down, it was DELICIOUS! Perfectly cooked, thick, yummy cheese, and great amount of flavor. The big draw for my group is the open karaoke! On Sundays, LALA offers open karaoke in the main restaurant from 1-4 pm. There's a small stage at the front of the restaurant. It's free, you just add your name to the list. There usually isn't a long wait to sing. The last couple of times, my party was able to sing several times. Each time, the list was short, so the same people kept going up to sing again and again. It's a very fun environment. We had Patrick as a server this time - he was very patient and really attentive. It's not a huge restaurant inside (but still good amount of seating) and everyone I've come across from staff to patrons have been amazing. Great stop to visit if you're checking out St Pete! LALA is located in a great area, right in the middle of Central Ave. Would absolutely recommend a brunch here if you're looking for something fun and different but also still a bit laid back. Where do I even start? LALA was absolutely amazing! From the food to the drinks, service, ambiance, and overall experience, everything was on point. We started with the seacuterie board (seafood board), which was fantastic, and the charred octopus, and asparagus which were delicious! To be honest, everything we tried was flavorful and beautifully prepared. And the drinks... We had the Pink Flamingo, Old Fashioned, and Espresso Martini, and every single one was delicious. They definitely know how to make a great cocktail! The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and welcoming--and the ambiance made the whole experience even better. It has such a great vibe and is the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy yourself, and make an evening out of it. Amazing food, delicious cocktails, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Ooh-La-La! SOLID 5 STARS! $5 house wine 4-6pm. Great eclectic Menu. Fancy service and a chef who knows his ingredients. You can't miss at LaLa. Started with Cabernet Sauvignon ($5). Then Charred Octopus Appetizer ($19). Then a superb Truffle Aioli Burger with Caesar Salad ($19). Finished with Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($9). Wing Man Gary (UASF Pilot, Retired) had the Grouper Sandwich ($16). I asked for my burger to be "So rare a good vet could save it." And that's exactly what I got. There was a large toothpick speared through the burger to prevent it from escaping. The flavors and textures were a real treat. Superb! Great meal for $90 including tip. Highly recommended. La La St. Pete is such a vibrant, trendy spot just off Central. It backs up to Green Bench Brewing, so it's in a really convenient location if you want to grab drinks or explore the area afterward. We had a great experience at LALA! The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The food was solid overall, and the duck linguine was absolutely delicious--it's a unique pasta dish that really stood out from the usual options. I was also pleasantly surprised by how strong the kids' menu was, which made dining with a little guy much easier. The only downsides were that the drinks felt a bit pricey for what they were, and while the filet wasn't bad, it was the most disappointing dish of the meal and didn't quite live up to expectations. read more

I like the concept, they have great mixed drinks, food, and karaoke. You can do karaoke in the main bar which has a stage or you can book a room upwards of $125. There is also and outside area including a roof bar. Thus is a cool place. Seating on the inside is limited though. We had drinks and dessert and the bill for four was expensive. So just be prepared to spend a good amount, maybe $40 per person which is about 2.5 drinks. They have bottled beer, but no draft. Saturday night after an event, my daughter and I ended up at Lala; we were so grateful they were open late. We sat at the bar, and had great service by one of the bartenders. I don't remember his name, but his British accent definitely stood out. Between the delicious food, our great cocktails, and the Karaoke going on, the whole vibe was just fun and lively. It was a busy Sunday dinner when I came in. We reserved an outside patio seating but then it started pouring so we went inside and sat by the bar. I got the duck linguini which was amazingly good and surprisingly had a lot of chunks of duck meat in it. Some of the pieces were a little too fatty for me but most of the meat was lean. The meat was very tender. The sauce was so good! It was a mushroom type sauce and definitely made this dish so tasty. It wasn't overly salty either. My friend got a burger and I will say her fries were soggy and plain. It definitely needed more salt and crisp. If you get the fries, maybe see if yours comes out differently. Really disappointed with the experience my two friends and I had here last night. I will preface we came around midnight and it was a Friday night. The bar and many tables were still packed. The host said they were still serving food so we stayed. Pros: --still serving food late night --Karaoke still going and people having fun --Server was decent Cons: --Limited late night menu (but not unusual for late night --Food was bland if not bad. We ordered: BBQ wings (not pictured) which had a weird powdery/chalky? taste. I looove wings and these were honestly the worst I've ever had. Black Truffle Mac & Cheese--no taste. Box Mac would probably have been tastier Meatballs--were the "tastiest" of the three bland dishes. They were pretty dry but ok if you had a bunch of the sauce on them. I guess it was just so disappointing because we had been out having some drinks and even after some cocktails the food didn't taste good. What a fun spot with great food. We sat on the rooftop and enjoyed the live music and views. Service was not fully attentive and we were there over two hours but luckily we were not in a rush. Hosted my 30th birthday party here with 12 of my friends and we had the BEST time! Aaaand we were on the top floor this time so didn't have to worry about being seen through the window (per my previous review). The food is great, the drinks are strong, and the karaoke rooms are fantastic. They also offered to keep my cake pops refrigerated until it was time to share them, which was nice, and they have a little scrolling message for the birthday person on the screen. What a great concept for a restaurant/party rooms/karaoke! 2 floors of laughs, memories and loud singing- don't worry anyone that is outside your room will not hear you! Cute lil restaurant bar with indoor (low and bar) seating, outdoors and private party rooms. We had a bachelorette party (we dressed as your favorite Barbie). Had an absolute blast at LA LA! The private karaoke rooms are so much fun and easy to use. We were in the "Glams" room upstairs with 5 people, which is probably the max I would have in there. Our dedicated server was so sweet and checked on us often. Splitting checks was easy peasy. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and it was clean and inviting and well decorated. Perfect for a couple of millennial gals to catchup over drinks. I love the Grand Central District- and LALA is a great representation of the neighborhood, it's charming, upbeat and dynamic. I had the Mediterranean Pasta- which was light, refreshing and tangy. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the artichoke hearts were delicious. I like how the restaurant is in the heart the Grand Central District- which is super vibrant. This was such a good time! The openness of the design allowed for nice cool airflow. It was beautiful on the breezy day that I went. You can people watch from inside and of course the karaoke!!!!! You have to keep the songs clean because there's kids. Even though a kid went up there cussing up a storm to the song they chose LOL. The decor is so cute and it's right on a busy St. Pete strip. The food was delicious. I got a fish dish and a soup and I cleaned the plate. The drinks were well made and it really is a wonderful place to go with friends or a day on the town. This experience was a 20 out of 10! I booked a room for my birthday and me and my friends had the best time. The food and drinks were good but the experience was the best. The staff was great about refilling drinks but left you to really enjoy the experience. It is one of the best birthdays that I have had. The rooms are all uniquely themed. The only thing that I wished to be different was for them to turn the AC on artic blast because I was giving it all up there singing and dance! I can't not recommend this experience enough. Stopped by lala for lunch and it a pleasant experience the truffle Mac and it's still on my mind it was so delicious the sandwich was delicious but I forgot blackened can be salty but the sauce that come on it took it to another level. My friend got ratatouille and of course we had to try it and it was delicious this was such a nice space well spread out great atmosphere and the service was pretty good we were 1 of 2 people there because they just opened so keep that in mind it might be different during peak hours but I trust the service is still good. I booked a karaoke room for my friend's birthday and it was so much fun! Truthfully the price for the room was so reasonable and fair! Our waitress, Victoria, was so sweet and friendly! She brought a slice of the caramel cheesecake for my friend with a candle (totally unexpected) and the cheesecake was DELISH!
