Specials for the week - January 2026
    Samantha C.

Went in on a Tuesday and they had great specials going on. I ended up doing a Tuesday Pick Two special for $30 and chose to go with the Red Dragon & Hollister. Ambiance was great, servers were great however, the sushi was just OK. The rolls were huge and the rice was a little too wet. There are sooo many sushi places open in the area, I would probably not be back for sushi, but I'd surely try other items on the menu.

Food was good, definitely try the Lava drops appetizer! I got the spicy tuna roll and dackerette - spicy tuna was great & I liked the dackerette but it was slightly runny if that makes sense - maybe overcooked. Ambiance is cool, the music was good! The servers did take a little long to get to our table for how slow it was but overall the experience was nice, I'd go back!

One of our favorite places in DTSP and their sushi is excellent! There is something to say about their cold, dead fish! We love sitting at the bar as the bartenders are always up for good conversation. We have been for brunch and lunch and always throw in the brussel sprouts no matter what we are ordering as they are the best in St. Pete. Definitely worth a try as the menu has a lot of great options.

Extensive menu w/ delicious options. Wish I had more room to explore and with that in mind I will be back! Pictured sushi & tacos did not disappoint. Sat at the bar, service was attentive and friendly - provided local favorites and personal recommendations. We walked in around 9-10pm on a Friday night. The place was steady, not a full house but neither empty so I gather it can get busy.

Finally checked this spot out and was not disappointed! It was happy hour from 4pm-7pm Monday-Friday. We came on a Friday around 5:30pm and were seated immediately. Plenty of seating inside and outside. I ordered the Lava Drops, which are individually rolled nori and rice balls stuffed with spicy kani salad and cream cheese cooked tempura style. It is topped with eel sauce and spicy mayo. This was a happy hour item. It was good! I also ordered The Onolicious, which is birria style cooked beef and chihuahua cheese in a fresh egg roll. It is served with a chipotle aioli. This was $12. I ordered That's Amore Roll, which is spicy tuna (I swapped for regular tuna), cream cheese, cucumber, topped with eel and avocado and drizzled with spicy mayo and eel sauce. This was $16. This was excellent! I also ordered The Hunter Roll, which is shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, and cucumber. It is topped with tempura whitefish, avocado, eel sauce, spicy mayo, wasabi mayo, scallions, and smelt roe. This was $15. Excellent and fresh! Would come back and recommend! Had a great variety of rolls and other items!

TLDR: organic rosé (yum!), birria egg rolls (mouthwatering), eel roll (solid). I love The Lure, and I love even more when I decide to go rogue and try new-to-me things and end up absolutely loving them. The menu here is tough. Tough as in, there are too many things that sound amazing and it's hard to choose. Decided to go with tapas for an appetizer and sushi for a main so I could get the best of both worlds. Also really enjoyed my wine- I try to stick with organic when it comes to wine so this was perfect!

A must try when in St Pete's! You will not be disappointed. We were able to get an indoor table within 15 minutes of the busy dinner rush. The hostess took down our name and called us within 10-15 minutes as she told us. Upon seating our server was extremely friendly and helpful with making recommendations. We started with two appetizers and then ordered some rolls to share afterwards. The Onolicious Plate was a birria style beef served in egg rolls with a chipotle dipping sauce. It was good and probably would order something else if I came back. The Ike was a bacon wrapped jalapeño shrimp served over rice and beans. We were all fighting over this dish it was delicious. I recommend ordering two if with a larger group. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll, spicy yellowtail roll, red dragon roll, and some tuna nigiri to share. The rolls are big and filling. We were full and just able to eat all of ours. The fish is fresh and well worth the price. The only downside of the Lure was the two individual bathrooms in the back of the restaurant. Which felt like I waited 30minutes to finally use the restroom. The inside is well cooled and decorated for a hipsterish vibe. There is ample seating both indoors and out.

The amount of options and variety is insane. Great deals on mondays (25%) off tapas. The ranch was so good too. Didn't love my tacos but would definitely go back to try something else, there were so many options I couldn't decide.

The Lure is in a great downtown St. Pete location, right next to lots of shops and easy to walk around before or after you eat. The food was really good...this is the first place I've been where I could really enjoy both a burger and sushi, which are two of my favorites! The burger was well-seasoned and cooked just right, and the tater tots were crispy and amazing. The sushi tasted fresh and was a great complement to the meal. Service was good and attentive. I just stopped in for a quick lunch but there's a nice-sized bar and pool tables, and it looks like a fun spot for adults hang out and vibe. Definitely need to come back and check it out again with some friends. Lots of great food options.

I love this place, my favorite spot downtown! They have such a wide variety of food, everyone can find something to eat. The ambience inside is great, the pool tables are a nice touch. Outside seating available as well as bar seating. Try the Lava Drops!!

    Tuna trio

Always great food and service at The Lure. We regularly come to dinner as it's our favorite sushi plus spot! Typically we have edamame as an appetizer but I saw this Tuna Trio as a weekend special so we had to try it! Such fresh sushi served three ways with great flavor and beautiful presentation. Next we had my personal favorite, The DTSP roll and my guy had the Taste of Rainbow. The service was great as always and we enjoy the laidback eclectic atmosphere. Today was beautiful so they had the front garage door open to get a full indoor/outdoor experience. Several times we have played pool at their billiards table post meal. It's a great spot with a vast array of menu options outside of just sushi. Their Brussel sprouts are another great favorite as well as their crab cake Benedict. Great for brunch, lunch or dinner!

Solid fun sushi joint in St. Pete! First time trying it out and we easily snagged 2 seats at the bar. Tuna tartare app was delicious -- red dragon roll for dinner stole the show! My boyfriend said the screaming Dave-o with the cream cheese was his favorite. Super friendly bartenders and fast service. Definitely coming back!

Last minute change in our plans led us here for happy hour. It's been awhile since I been here and I've only been for brunch years ago. Service was very efficient but they didn't have a lot of the things we wanted to order that evening. I ended up grabbing a Salmon Poke bowl with Tangy chili sauce and The Miller. My cousin ordered the Hugo and Onolicious. The poke bowl was very fresh and the sauce was delicious. The Miller stole the show for my though: Deviled Eggs with Lobster filling I'll definitely be back for that specifically. The Hugo was a buffalo style cauliflower and the Onolicious is a birria. Style cooked beef served in an egg roll wrap. Overall, the meal was great! However, the selection just lacked variety in my opinion for someone that doesn't eat a lot of beef or pork. A lot of the menu items contained bacon in the descriptions.
