Amazing 10/10 amazing views. Good drinks, good food, even a nice dj with a great set. Gives you tropical vibes it's open air out to the balcony. Great for weekend, group settings, and just overall to have drinks and food.

This was such an inviting location. The rooftop and the open air flow was very nice. My hair blowing in the wind as I grabbed drinks with my girls was a great experience. The drinks were not my favorite. They were always just shy of being my spec. I couldn't tell if it were the ingredients or the quality of the alcohol that was throwing off the flavor. I didn't get to try the food. This is some place I'd go again for a dressed up, nice girls out and I'd try again with some of my old faithfuls like a nice old fashioned.

New place for us. Gorgeous venue on the roof with great views of DTSP. Outside bar is very nice and Pete was making some amazing cocktails. Moved over to one of the high tops for dinner. Rebecca was very nice and took good care of us. Had the duck bao to start. Meh. A little chewy. Needed more flavor. Seemed the duck fat was not rendered at all as it was chewy and not crispy. I got the sparrow burger . Ok. It looked like they were frozen patties from a box. Needed more seasoning. Do not like cheddar cheese on a burger. American melts better. Deb had the crispy rice & tuna tarter. Pretty tasty. Starter but good portion size Venue is awesome, cocktails are really good but food is just ok. Maybe a drink and an app place. I would give the food a 3, everything else 4to 5.

Impeccable service. Great views over Central Avenue. I would encourage you to check out the happy hour. Seasonal selections for drinks an excellent place to catch the sunset as well. When I sidenote, when you enter the moxie and even get up to the rooftop it always smells so great.

Sparrow is located on top of the Moxy Hotel right in downtown St. Pete. It has an inside with bar seating and comfortable couches, along with ample seating outdoors. We sat outside and enjoyed the great views. We ordered a Jameson ginger ale, a prosecco, chicken skewers, and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were average, but the sweet miso glaze sauce that comes with them was good. We also don't know if the three chicken skewers was worth the $16 price. The menu here is on the smaller side and the food didn't particularly stand out to us. I recommend stopping by for a drink or an appetizer and getting a meal somewhere else.

Have been wanting to try this place since they opened! My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate my birthday. We made a reservation for 2 at 7pm on a Friday night. Had no problem checking in and was brought to our table indoors. The drinks were amazing and our servers were super friendly! The food came out quickly but was just okay! Nothing special but I would love to come back just for drinks!

Okay so this place has amazing potential we dined here for dinner and drinks, our server was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Online looking at the food menu there appeared to be many vegan and vegetarian options however they cook everything in beef tallow so that is super misleading and not the case. My vegan friend was able to eat edamame and we had to go elsewhere for food afterwards LOL. The cocktails I will say are fantastic. I am very knowledgeable about cocktails and the menu you can tell was made by a professional. Not for the basic crowd. Delicious! We did watch guests break a glass on the patio area and proceed to put it into a planter instead of asking the staff for a broom?? (Btw it was the plant in the corner) Very odd crowd here... The atmosphere is gorgeous, I recommend dining inside if you plan to eat, or just drinks you can stand or sit outside. Beautiful views of the sunset and they have an outside bar if you're just drinking. All of the staff was super friendly I just really really wish their food menu was diet friendly or at least not misleading.

This spot is beautiful. The drinks are top notch. I like the decorations and there's a great view of the city.

I was really excited to try this place out for drinks before dinner however, I was disappointed. This place is suppose to have a dress code, but that was obviously not enforced. As a business, don't say you have a dress code and then let people in wearing athletic wear please. The decor is very nice and cute, which is why I wish they would enforce the dress code. I was expecting this place to be more of a bar that does not take reservations, but every single table was reserved. We had to sit at the bar or high tops which was fine since there were open seats outside. It was fine for a drink, but I will not be returning. I would rather go someplace nicer where I can sit at a table if I'm going to be spending $15 on a simple drink.

Finally checked out Sparrow Rooftop at the Moxy Hotel. Loved the ambiance, great vibes with a live DJ, and the service was excellent. Our food came out quickly, which was a plus. I'm giving it 3 stars because the food itself was just mediocre. Everything we ordered was just OK--not bad, but nothing memorable. That being said, the Korean Fried Chicken Tender was a standout! Juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. I'd highly recommend ordering that. I'd definitely come back for drinks and the atmosphere, but I'd probably skip dining here next time. What I ordered: - Crispy Rice & Spicy Tuna Tartare: Avocado, Sriracha Mayo, Serrano Chili - Korean Fried Chicken Tender: Pickled Slaw, Gochujang Seasoning - Lobster Mac and Cheese: Maine Lobster, Shells, Lobster Bechamel, Bread Crumbs - Duck Bao Buns with Cucumber, Hoisin, Scallion

All I have to say is sparrow is definitely a vibe! the ambience is breathtaking. Great music, delicious drinks, and great food.. We ordered the New York strip. It was good. The mushrooms have an excellent flavor, but the steak was missing a little salt and could've had some more garlic, but overall, it was a good steak.. we ordered the chicken skewers. Those are good. Sushi, lobster vegetable, fried rice , and Korean chicken . The duck bow buns were excellent.. if you're looking for beautiful views, and a great dining experience with a lounge vibe. Sparrow is the way to go. The service was A1. Our hostess was very accommodating. Don't forget if you do valet they validate your ticket. We went out to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and they came out with fireworks seeing you happy birthday..

Note: I haven't dined or had drinks here yet, but I went to check out the new space when it opened. I took some amazing pics of the view and had to share! The staff was super nice, and the whole space has such a great vibe. I'll definitely be coming back with friends soon. Everyone I know who has been here has nothing but good things to say! Can't wait to try it myself--will review again when I do!

Heyyyyyy you guyyyys! Lets talk about it-the vibe is good the food is even better! The views are amazing!!! Sam and Dre at the bar hands down give the best service. Mixology bye Dre was 10 out of 10. Food was delicious. We opted for the steak and it did not disappoint. We had a great time, music was great as well. Great place to gather with friends or date night!

I got in late to the Moxy hotel and didn't feel like dressing up too fancy and wanted something good with a beach vibe since I was in St.

Truly Unforgettable Culinary Journey at Red Thread…read more Our dinner at Red Thread was nothing short of spectacular -- a five-star experience from the moment we stepped through the door until the final sip of our after-dinner drink. We visited to celebrate a milestone birthday, and the team not only met but exceeded every expectation, weaving subtle, thoughtful surprises into the evening that made us feel truly special. The atmosphere is opulent yet completely approachable -- warm, intimate, and alive with cultural richness. You can feel the intention behind every detail: the plush banquettes adorned with intricately embroidered throw pillows, the soft glow of lantern-style lighting, and the perfectly placed gold-tipped cocktail picks that make even the smallest moment feel curated. It's elegant without pretense, like being welcomed into a beautifully kept secret along the Silk Road. Service was led by Katie and Elijah, who were nothing short of exceptional. Their warmth, precision, and deep knowledge of both the menu and the restaurant's rich aesthetic elevated the entire evening. They guided us with confidence, shared stories behind the dishes, and ensured every need was met before we even voiced it. Now, the food -- where do we begin? Red Thread delivers flavors that are bold, layered, and deeply authentic. We started with the spread and small bites platter, and it was immediately clear we were in for something extraordinary. The tabbouleh was bright and herb-forward, with finely chopped parsley, tomato, and bulgur kissed by lemon -- a perfect balance of freshness and zing. The falafel were golden-crisp on the outside, tender within, and served with a bright mint yogurt. So delish! For our mains: the salmon, seasoned with fragrant za'atar and resting atop creamy spanakorizo (spinach and rice), was cooked to buttery perfection. The addition of crumbled feta and a cooling lemon yogurt sauce brought a bright, tangy contrast that elevated every bite. The pork chop, served with tri-color potatoes and glazed in a rich port beurre rouge with rosemary and a whisper of parmesan, was magnificent -- juicy, deeply savory, and beautifully seared. And the beef short rib? Unbelievably tender, with a warm curry base, sweet-spicy melon kimchi, and saffron rice that perfumed the air. The cardamom chèvre melted into the mix, adding a creamy, floral depth that was nothing short of inspired. Every dish told a story -- of distant lands, ancient trade routes, and a chef who clearly treats spice like sacred heirloom. To know these flavors are crafted with spices imported directly from the regions that inspired them explains the unmatched authenticity in every bite. Red Thread stands alone in St. Petersburg -- not just in flavor, but in feeling. We'll be back -- no question -- to explore their brunch and dive deeper into this beautiful narrative they've created on a plate. To everyone reading: This is the kind of restaurant that deserves to be discovered, celebrated, and filled to capacity every single night. Go. Taste. Feel. Red Thread isn't just dinner -- it's a journey. And it's not to be missed.

We finally checked out Red Thread and it was delicious!…read more Great ambiance (both indoors and their outdoor courtyard, can't go wrong with either option) that fits the "silk road" vibe, with awesome food and friendly service. We started with the dip trio (beet hummus, olive tapenade, and babaganoush with fluffy pita triangles), which was fantastic. Each dip had an awesome flavor, especially the beet hummus. We also got the tahini, date, and cashew salad and loved it. My husband isn't a salad guy and said he'd only have a bite, but then he ate half. The rich and spicy tahini mixed with the sweet date, creamy cashew, and fresh/crisp salad was such a great flavor combo. I will note, they go heavy with the tahini on the salad, but we weren't complaining. I got the zataar salmon for my main. A deliciously spiced zataar crust on top of a delicately flaky salmon made for a wonderful meal. My husband got the kafta en croute, which were ground lamb/beef meatballs surrounded by a flaky pastry and topped with pomegranate over a tahini sauce. I kept stealing bites (which was fine, there was plenty to share) it was so good and such a unique entrée! For drinks, they have uniquely spiced cocktails and mocktails. The drinks took longer to arrive than the food, but they were worth the wait. We were too stuffed for dessert, but next time we want to try their tiramisu (made with Turkish coffee and cardamom). We had a wonderful meal and will be back! The sad thing was that half the restaurant was empty. We think it's a unique addition to DTSP and is definitely worth checking out.
