Affordable nail salon that gets the job done. I usually do my own nails but wanted to treat myself. I got a gel acrylic full set and gel pedicure. My girlfriend got her eyebrows done. My nails came out pretty nice as well as my girlfriend's eyebrows. The nail technicians worked fast but it turned out great and we did not feel rushed. I have had bad experiences at other salons where they end up cutting me, but the ladies who did my nails at Ivy Nail were very gentle and I am happy to say I did not get hurt! At some chop shops, they go so fast, they don't look where they are filing but she was very careful with me which I appreciated so much. It was priced reasonably as well. Originally got my nails done 03/05/15. Nail broke a week later 03/12/15. :( I broke my nail (not artificial) and called Ivy Nail. Jessica picked up and I asked if she was available to fix my nail that I just broke. I went in and Jessica was so caring and gentle with my nail that was bleeding and broke half way down my nail bed. She asked me if I would be okay with her to shave off the gel polish (instead of using alcohol cause it woulda burned like heck!) and I said yes. It hurt so bad, but Jessica did what she could to not have it hurt as much. (I can take pain really well, so it didn't hurt as much, but still did. Lol) So once Jessica was done shaving off the color, she put an overlay of powder on topic the ripped nail. It stung in the beginning cause the alcohol, but I was okay a little after. After she was finished, I thanked her a bunch and had to dip cause I was almost late for work lol. But before I left, she told me to come back in a week or two and she will fix it then (since it would have grown out). I came back 03/26/15 and changed the color and everything. In total I would rate this place more of a 3.5/5. My friend and I came here last minute on Black Friday. There was no one there so we got automatically seated. Right after more people started to come so I do advise to call before you come because they usually do get busy. They have an OK variety of nail polishes. My friend got her nails done first for a gel manicure and I got my acrylics after. Her gel was a little bit more pricier than mine. With my acrylics being around 23 -25 in total ~ and hers around 27-30 in total. For my nails: I usually use to get my nails done in college so I can see how going here they were a little less detailed than the places I usually go to. Some of my nails were a little uneven with the shaping which made them look crooked to me. Although I did get the color I wanted It only lasted me for about 2.5 weeks. Also Some of my nails did chip on the sides. For my friends nails: it did last her for a while until she got a new color that she got done here as well. She recently got gel again but now it is wearing off and looks a little cracked. She also did mention that her nails were also uneven this time. Overall: the price isn't bad for what you get. I might come again just because of convenience but maybe get another person to do my nails. read more

This place is 4 blocks from my house and since I had bad luck earlier with another salon I decided to go here for time reasons. At first glance it's a pretty clean salon, very welcoming and no one was there which I was thankful for. I wanted a gel manicure and had gel color on and so she started using a tool to scrape the get off which was new to me but faster in process. When she brought out the acetone to soak my nails in, it looked like there were peices of previous gel color in there which was gross! After soaking my nails, she then proceeded to pour it back into the bottle it came from which almost made me want to get up and walk away. I got no oil for my nails, everything seemed to be opened and not cleaned or autoclaved as it should be for sanitary reasons. I just wanted to get this over with so I stayed. The polishing was nice and the price was excellent $20 for gel manicure! Best price I've seen but I definitely won't be coming back for sanitary reasons. read more

When I arrived they said I can come right away so I did. I actually live close by so it wasn't a struggle for me to come in minutes. There was only two of them who were working. Place is simple but everything seems perfectly clean and well organized. I had to arrive due to how my thumb nail chipped and broke, my real one, near and over the skin so it hurt really bad. I asked the lady behind the counter desk if it was possible to get a manicure despite the chipped/injured nail and she made it possible. Her name is Jessica and she's very humble, kind too. When she was doing my nails she took her time to do so, when reaching my thumb nail she was more gentle which I appreciate so much. It wasn't a long process compared to the ones I had before. She made the length of my nails to the correct length I wanted. Shaped them the way I asked for too. And it looked pretty nail and the shade I picked ( dark violet / purple ) is gorgeous. Do I recommend people to go? Sure. For acrylic nails it's $20 so it's worth it to me. Not many nail salons have that type of price now. One thing, colors are quite limited ( or the ones I saw, I could be wrong ) so if you're looking for a color be sure to bring your own polish to be safe if the options you want isn't there. I dropped by with no wait for mani and pedi. But I didn't like how their water temperature is not even warm! Plus they cut your cuticles to the point you bleed. That's a no-no to me! I also noticed they only put base coat but not top coat so I ended up putting them on myself at home. When the business started to get busy, they rush you. ESP poor nail painting job on my fingers. They're already pealing off tonight! The ladies also talk among themselves in Vietnamese... and I can also see other unsatisfied customers complaining and them fighting back...Red Flag! Called in to set an appointment for a mani and pedi. she said they were really busy at the moment. Decided to walk in to see how long the wait time is, being I was in no major rush. I came in and she was yapping on the phone volume 11 out of 10 on speaker, but decided to take me anyways. The phone conversation never stopped. DO NOT GO HERE! 1. she took out the scrub they use for your feet out of a garbage; first I didn't want to think she was reaching in the garbage, but she did. And the scrub was obviously rounded out and used already ! 2. My pedicure lasted 15 minutes 3. Nail polish all over my cuticles 4. Made me walk over to a different station, bare foot, (wouldn't be a big deal if their floor was clean) 5. Nothing to rave about here. :( Although the obvious owner, Jessica is super friendly and nice when I come into the salon, her co-worker is otherwise (way!) less than enthralled by my presence. Despite the crumbling face of the economy, she (the other nail technician there) looks like she doesn't even want to give me the time of day or work for that matter (Eating bread when I came in and didn't even wash her hands before she worked on me - Thank God for gloves!) Sucks too, because as a person that once worked at a salon, I tip quite generously (I did so even today regardless if I am unemployed at the moment. Not even a thanks for that. Just a something like a grunt..?) I guess, since she was the first one to help me my first visit, Jessica insists that she help me today (my second visit) as well. The first wasn't bad. I had a eyebrow wax, lip wax, and manicure. It was a total of about under $30.00. For some weird reason the waxes were the MOST painful I have ever experienced. Thinner than I would like but for 7 bucks a pop and my diminishing bank account I didn't complain. Plus, I thought it was painful because i haven't had any waxing done in awhile. So, I gave eyebrow waxing another go today. Boy, was I disappointed. Not only did it hurt like crazy, she also yanked out some of the baby hair on my temples and my eyebrows came out, once again, too thin AND crooked. YIKES!!! This place is NO GOOD!!! They lady who did my manicure, messed it all up, how hard is it to do just a regular gel french manicure. I was all bubbly, like she kept my hand in the light for too long. Every time the light went off I took my hand out and she kept putting it back in. Then she notice it was looking all bad, she started to paint my gel polish over it. It started looking real think, so I wasn't happy about it. I asked her is she can remove it and redo the look because all of them looked like that one she caught. She got really upset and kept talking bad and blaming me, then blaming the polish brand. I requested that one of the his other workers help me instead of him, and I got mean glares and they were both said that they were too busy. Decided to try this salon out to get my nails done for my birthday and it was a good visit. My friend and I called ahead and they were prepared when we got there a few minutes later. I had my pedi and manicure done on the day before my wedding, and it was a very bad idea. There was the lady owner who did my french nail manicure and it was fine. My major nightmare was this guy who did my pedicure. He made my big toe bleed because he was paying too much attention to the TV instead of my pedicure. The TV was airing some Vietnamese-sub HK drama, and apparently he loved it. He did apologize and tried to fix it by clean off the blood with some rubbing alcohol. OUCH!!!!! They didn't compensate their mistake by not charging me. In fact, they didn't think it was a big deal. The guy said, "don't worry, you will feel much better tomorrow!" It was a lie - I was even more painful the day after. That makes me think - does that mean they did that to people all the time? I will not recommend anyone coming here. Just got a pedi from here. I called to make sure they treated callus- lady on the phone said yes. My bf and I both got pedicures, his lady seem to do a better job than mine. I have the worst luck. The water was cold. They didn't add any sanitizer in my water soak. They only used the purple square scrubber. They added $5 more to our pedicure because they said for callus treatment. Which was nothing more. Maybe for a cheap quick fix this place is ok. But don't expect anything more than mediocre. Just moved here from San Diego, so desperately searching for a new nail salon. This was probably one of the more terrible mani/pedis I've had in a while. So my normal nail shop was closed and I've been here before with a good experience with a pedicure, this time made me decide never again. First of all my first experience was great the pedicure included a paraffin dip and hot stones so I was like I needed that why not, but no I came in they didn't seem to want to help. Then when the lady used the sugar scrub I thought she was going to scrub my skin off it was so rough and aggressive ( mostly painful) so whatever I was looking forward to the paraffin dip and she just skipped that and the hot stones. How do you just take out a step of the pedicure because you don't feel like doing it ?? And then my gel manicure. As you can see super sloppy. There was no one in the shop and they were rushing me out as fast as they can. Terrible service and quality. Was a waste of time and money. I can already see how my polish will chip in a couple days.
