We have frequently ordered takeout from here and the food quality is always great. Today we ate at the restaurant and although the food was still great the soft drinks were awful. It tasted like the cups weren't washed very well and we returned our soft drinks. Then we got tap water and at least it didn't have any unexpected flavors in it. Our waiter was exceedingly slow and I think he frequently forgot we were there. The service was disappointing. We're going to stick to just getting takeout from here.... read more

Stopped here on a whim for lunch while on a road trip north, AMAZING PLACE. server was attentive and the food was authentic Mexican. Had the combo with a tamale , chile relleno, and enchiladas. Stopped in here the other day after exploring Ferjulian's farm up the street. I agree with the other post that the interior leaves much to be desired, but the food I ordered was certainly good and the employees all seemed very nice/had smiles on their faces. I ordered a grilled chicken plate with a side of rice and beans. It was tasty, and it seems like they run a tight kitchen because my food came out very quickly as well as several other people's food who ordered around the same time I did or even after me. Their menu is pretty extensive, so I had a hard time narrowing down what I wanted. If I lived in the area, I would definitely return. read more

New to Downtown Hudson, MA and a great addition to the growing Main Street Restaurant club. We truly enjoyed all the food and tasting their Giant Margarita was really good. They also put fresh tortillas and salsa while we waited for our food which didn't take long at all. Lots to choose from their menu just make sure to ask what things are and our server answered all our questions regarding their menu. The food was very tasty. The restaurant was fresh and clean minus the restroom which needed a cleaning for sure. Decor was fine. Would loved to have seen more on the walls. I love Lalo's. Not only do they have Horchata and Tamarindo--two of my all-time favorite treats that originate from my brief time getting amazing Mexican food in Fresno, CA--but they have some of the best Mexican food in the area. I'm partial to their fajitas and tamales, and their churros are out of this world. While the prices are more expensive than traditional street tacos, they have American sizes, so you will get much more food than you'll likely eat in one sitting. Their combos are especially great when you can't pick just one thing on the menu. I also want to give a shoutout to Lalo's for going above and beyond for their customers. I did a Doordash order and found there was no horchata available online. When I called to ask if I could pay for it separately, a guy offered to drive it to my house (which would have been very embarrassing because I am not far from Lalo's and my laziness would have been extremely obvious). While I refused to let him do that, the offer was really appreciated. They also made sure my Doordasher got my drink for me! If you haven't had horchata or tamarindo before, definitely give it a try on a hot summer day--it'll be hard to find anywhere else in Massachusetts. read more

I have mixed emotions about this convenient local Hudson eatery. I love Tex-Mex. Until the new one opens up, this is it in town. We stopped in Saturday night. The first thing that hit us was how drab and uninteresting it is. The walls are grey and hardly anything to show Mexican heritage. The tables are plain cafeteria style. There is no ambiance. Now, the food. It's delicious. I had the nachos with chicken. My partner had the quesadilla. Excellent as well. I added a Modelo dark, well paired with my meal. The service is quick and attentive. If you want atmosphere, this isn't the place. If you want good food, it is. They also do a busy take out. read more

We came here for an early dinner. When we walked in there were 2 other tables and 3 people at the bar. In the back corner there were apx 8 wait staff sitting and mingling. Our drinks were promptly ordered but were delayed to be delivered. I hate ordering food before I receive my drink. We were given extremely bland chips and salsa. If you hate tomatoes I guess this salsa is for you. It was so liquidy that there was nothing to scoop with the chips. The drinks came and they were ok. We ordered food which came out plate by plate. After about 5minutes another employee (not our waiter) asked how our food was. The whole time we sat there with no silverware. We were missing side plates (for fajitas), all tortillas and additional sides. Another worker ended up jumping in and helping. They ended up finger pointing for the mistakes and poor service. For having more than one location, you wouldn't expect the little mistakes. I would say the food was mediocre but the service was horrendous given the time of day. They brought the bill before they even cleared the table. Nothing more irritating...I'm all set. read more

Tried Lalos for the first time last night - a quick date night just looking for food. 30 min wait on a Sat night. We waited 15 then got 2 seats at the bar. I have no complaints. The margaritas were so good.. I had the Skinny Spicy and they were amazing. Husband tried 2 different ones and a mojito and loved them all. We got the sampler platter (jalapeño poppers were legit and so good) a beef chimichanga with mole sauce, beef quesadilla and the churros. Everything was delicious. The chips and salsa was so fresh. The bartenders and staff were so sweet and kind. Planning a girls night to come back for more margs, ASAP. read more

Food was excellent. I had the Special Fajitas, and everything was served at the perfect temp, and was well complimented by the fresh guacamole which I ordered as a side. I ordered a large Modela Negra which was good and cold and served in a cold mug. They have churros as well for dessert which I tried and found to be very good. A very pleasant dining experience and I would recommend them if you are in the Hudson area and like good Mexican food. read more

Was thrilled to have a nice and new Mexican restaurant in Hudson and Lalos hits the spot. The atmosphere is casual and perfect for a quick night out or a larger group. All of the staff were moving very fast all night, but all had a smile, and multiple different members stopped by to make sure plates were cleared or drinks were filled. Food was great, I had a combo and the red sauce was perfect. Rice was moist, which was nice as sometimes it is overcooked, or crunchy. I tried Lalos in Hudson with a friend after several acquaintances recommend it. While the ambiance did not inspire me to remember places in Mexico that I had tried, the food took me right back to those restaurants. My friend and I discovered we both like mole; she had it with the chicken special. I decided to get my favorite tamales; then the waiter asked what sauce I wanted with the meal: red, green, or mole. I had NEVER had my favorite tamales with mole, and they were outstanding. Next to the food, the service could not have been more attentive; two young waiters kept checking if we needed anything and asking whether the orders were okay. I will be returning, and bringing other guests with me. Any chance the ambience could reflect the Mexican love of painted chairs and wooden tables? read more

Wow, so my wife and good friends stoped by Lalos for a margarita yesterday. Not only were the Marg's great but the service was phenomenal! When I asked the bartender what Birria tacos were she brought us a sample! They were awesome, we also loved the sopes! To top it off my wife asked for a Chardonnay and they had run out but they ran to the liquor store and bought some more for her! Shout out to Edgar our great bartender! We tried Lalos on a friend's recommendation but we were sadly disappointed. Our experience started out well with the warm chips served with salsa...the only good part of the meal. I had the carnitas platter which came with no description of how it would be prepared. I ended up with, basically, a fajita. I'm not a fan of cooked peppers so I had to pick through them. I wish I had asked our server but took a shot in the dark...my bad. My friend ordered the fish tacos. She said they tasted like chicken. We had to ask for guacamole which was listed as a side with both of our meals. But, we were disappointed when it arrived. A dull green-brownish color and complete mush. Not freshly made as stated in the menu. A small thing but the guacamole came in little plastic to-go cups. Margaritas were decent but overpriced for the quality. We will not be going back to Lalos. read more
