We love to get takeout from here. We have actually never gone in for a sit down meal. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the portions and quality you get. Curbside to go is awesome! You just pull-up and they bring your food out - it's basically like going thru a fast-food chain line but getting a better quality of food! Their steak tips are very flavorful and always cooked perfectly. The fish and chips is surprisingly crave worthy. The fish has great flavor and there isn't too much batter. The batter is also light and a little crunchy and not greasy at all. The burgers are huge and the juice will run down your arm when you bite into them. I have also ordered the nachos to go - I was a little worried how they would be by the time I got them home - they were packed awesome. They melted the cheese on the chips but then provided all of the toppings in seperate little containers so that you could assemble it at home and not end up with soggy chips. read more

It took a few minutes for the hostess to find us. But once she did, we were seated right away and Laurie, our waitress was right over. I've done a review on my local 99 and it was awful. I want to start by saying this 99 compared to most is just outstanding. Service is always great. The food is always tops notch. We generally come away from this restaurant satisfied with the food and the service. It was a delightful Saturday evening when my daughter, grandson and I ate dinner. We all chose medium rare steak. Two of us were quite satisfied with our steak. My daughter had thicker steak and more on the rare side. It was brought back to the kitchen to cook some more. My grandson and I were treated to a lovely repast. It is great when you can take a bite or two of something and be totally satisfied with the taste. This is a 99, so you should know what to expect here. I love the 99, but I have to basically trick my wife into coming when we do. It should be easy seeing as the prices are good, and kids eat free when red-sox win in the summer which is a great draw to keep it cheap. They have the same cheap and great specials as all other 99's as well. Once in awhile you get a weird server and that is my only complain and reason why it isn't 4 stars. We have gotten some incredibly nice servers hear but more than a share of very short and not very nice ones. To the point where my 2 year old daughter asked, "why she not so friendly". Either way if your gonna drop in hopefully you get one of the very nice ones! Because lets face it if you are looking for a decent meal at a cheap price the 99 is where it is at! read more

I always like going to my Hudson 9s. Fresh food and beer and drinks plus buttery popcorn. Their seafood chowder is terrific! Pick up could not be easier and wait staff is friendly. For a quick snack or a big dinner our Hudson 99 is a staple. read more

My husband and I visited on a Wednesday night and it was fairly busy. We were seated in this odd area that had no music just dead silence which was awkward. Our server was polite and attentive. We ordered burgers and came out unseasoned. A little salt and pepper would've went a long way. The patties seem like flash frozen and defrosted. I usually don't go to chains but thought we might try 99 since it was so close to our home, however I don't think we will return. read more

We went yesterday for lunch . Hadn't been in a while . They sat us in a nice big booth . My wife got really good wine. My best friend and I got Sam seasonal which was excellent . We started with awesome potato skins . My wife saw the T-bone steak on the menu. We all got one . The waitress brought out really good salads first . Then she brought out the T-bones . Omg they were cooked perfectly . All three were cooked just the way way we like them . The fries were done just right . The service was very good too . Charging 3% more (or whatever it is) for take out orders is ridiculous. It's called the C.O.D.B... By taking the food OUT of your restaurant, I am not: using your elecetricity, creating dirty dishes for an employee to wash, using your hot water/chemicals for washing any glassware/dishes, paying an employee to put them away, etc.. roll these costs into the pricing of the menu items like a normal place does. This Location is the fourth 99 restaurant where we've dined. What I like about 99 is consistency with service, quality food and tasty drinks. I had the Seafood chowder and sirloin tips. The chowder was hot and delicious. The sirloin was slightly charred and cooked perfectly. My favorite item is the Quartino wine which is a great deal. read more

The 99 has totally redeemed it self from being the prime suspect in causing the 4 worst hours of food poisoning I ever had 3 years ago. I came in for lunch after the late summer hurricane, to plug in my phone, get something hot to eat, and take a sink shower. The hostess was really cool about our request to sit us in a booth near a outlet so we could charge our phones. For the hour that we hung out caught up on the news, and charged our phones, and got a great hot lunch, it was just what we needed. Their was a ton of lunch options, all a great value, they have really revamped the menu. I won't hesitate to come back to grab a beer and some apps. This is a reliable, family-friendly restaurant with a good bar. I want to give a shout out to my server tonight. I'd ordered a very rare steak; as she put my plate down she noticed it looked probably over-cooked and suggested I test it. This location is horrible. I love the chain and have found most locations to be great. The Hudson location is just really poorly run. We've gone twice and both times received bad service. The first time we sat there for 15 minutes and finally walked out after two different tables were waited on and they came after us - and it was the same server. It's one thing if a server goes on break, but he was there the entire time taking orders from other customers and ignoring us. It wasn't that busy either. The second time, we were given a dirty table and the service again was slooooow. When you go to a restaurant with 3 kids, you need to eat quick. They seem to only care about the few regulars and don't care about anyone else. Avoid this location! read more

I've been going here for years and while at times I do wish the food came a little slower, there's something to be said for quick response and good service overall. I call her attention asking her if she can send my waitress over. Then she says oh no one told me you were here. Seriously, you just walked by me three times and I've been sitting here for 15 min. I understand their busy but seriously. And to make me not feel important by telling me no one told me you were here, why would say that to a customer. The host who sat me was more helpful. The 99 is typically one of the chains that I can actually tolerate....except this one.... After walking through the door the first thing I notice is an awful smell. Almost like walking into a basement. Maybe it's because the bathrooms are close to the entrance? Maybe something leaked at some point? I don't know. Then there always seems to be chaos at the host stand. They're taking people to tables in two different directions and there is always someone standing in the middle waiting for takeout. Poor layout. After surviving the smell and the chaos, you get to your table and order a 25oz beer....and it comes back warm and flat. So you send it back and the waitress brings a new one that is not as warm but still flat. Clearly a lost cause. The couple times I have eaten here, the food comes out and looks unappealing. I know it's all frozen, deep fried whatever.....but I just don't understand how they can screw it up. Could only manage a few bites of my burger, the potato skins come out all shriveled up and stuck together and the pasta dishes are all mush. This place could use an overhaul.....some new carpet, new paint and some plumbing work in the bathroom. And maybe a training refresher for the kitchen help.... Next time i'm just going to head to the Burger King down the street. read more

I didn't enjoy my dining experience at the 99 restaurant in Hudson. The dining staff is very nice. But the cooks can't cook. My chicken came to my table raw. Thank goodness I cut into the thicker part of the chicken first. I didn't eat it. But, this is the second time it's happened. I ate there once before this and raw salmon was delivered to my table. I'm not sure if it's just one cook in the back that doesn't know what they are doing. Or if the cooking staff is just that bad in general. But proteins like chicken and fish should be cooked to appropriate temperatures. Customers can get sick if they just start eating and don't realize the food isn't cooked properly. read more
