This is an authentic Mexican Restaurant in one of Northboro's shopping plazas on Main St. they've been open for a few years now so I figured their food was pretty good. Mexican music plays in the background but not loud. The restaurant is clean and has a fun Mexican theme. The bathroom is very small but clean, also decorated in a Mexican theme. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us right away. The waiter came over almost immediately and got us our drinks. My daughter got the homemade sangria and said it was very good. Naco chips came out right away with some spicy salsa. I ordered the seafood burrito and my daughter orders the burrito mole. My seafood burrito was absolutely stuffed with seafood and it was delicious. I would definitely get it again. I asked for the tomatillo sauce on the side in case it was going to be spicy, but it had the right amount of heat and was very flavorful. Mixing the rice with the black beans and the tomatillo sauce made a really tasty bite. My daughter enjoyed her mole burrito and cleaned her plate. We didn't get dessert. We were too stuffed! The price for each meal was $17.99, which I found to be an extremely good value for such a quality meal. I took their takeout menu. We're definitely coming back and will order takeout. read more

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Worcester area. My husband is from Mexico and I'm from California, we miss good Mexican food. We like the ambiance and food here. We always share a Molcajete and get a couple drinks. We do miss the handmade tortillas that came with the Molcajete. The taqueria style salsa we usually ask for is really good which is oddly hard to find out here. They play our favorite music sometimes (Christian Nodal, Grupo frontera...). Beautifully plated food, but the meat was rather tough and bland. I just don't think there was enough seasoning in the entire place so I was kind of lacking. We decided to try a new place. I got the fajitas which needed more seasoning but wasn't bad. They were pretty standard and came as a good size portion. Hubby got the ceviche appetizer. He thought it was flavorful and fresh. Diner 3 ordered the trio plate with a taco, burrito and Chile relleno. The taco got soggy very quickly because it was chicken but the chile was amazing. It was a great portion as well. Diner 4 got the Chile relleno and Tamale. He thought the food was very good and authentic. The thing that would bring us back, believe it or not, was the Buffalo wings. They were crispy and full of flavor before you even put on a sauce. The refried beans were good. Service was good and we didn't wait very long for our food. Overall I would say give this place a shot. It was good and we agree we would all go again. read more

We went there for lunch around 1:30 pm for my birthday. Entire restaurant was empty. We got seated quickly. Restaurant was well decorated. Got the chips and salsa. If you need more you have to pay for it as per their menu. This was the only good part. We decided the food and we had to get the server to take our order. Initially we ordered 2 things. 1 veggies burrito and 2. Veggie chimichanga. We confirmed with server that it will look same as shown it the menu picture. It took 8-10 mins to bring our food. They said the plates are too hot and be careful. Starting with chimichanga, in the photo it says they serve it with guacamole we did not get it, so we asked and the response was only pork version of chimichanga will have the guacamole. Even though we confirmed with them. Food was good with lots of onions inside chimichanga. Let's come to veggie burrito, burrito was cold like it was colder than the room temperature and plate was steaming hot. WOW!!!!! Now come to the taste, I took a bite and it was sweet, sweeter than tres leches. I know what you are thinking and trying to ask me "are you serious??" Yes I am sure. I asked the server why is it sweet, answer " veggie burrito is always sweet " , so we asked to replace it with 3 chicken tacos, usually restaurant will take it off the check but they didn't, no where in the menu it says it is a SWEET and COLD burrito. Oh when asked about why is it cold we got the reply saying because of the vegetables they put inside the burrito, it was lettuce only. May be chipotle or any other fast food that serves veggie burrito is serving it wrong. Between me and my wife we spend 50$. Food is not worth the money. I really enjoyed this restaurant. We came in for lunch on a Friday and the place was empty which honestly made me a little nervous... but the food and the service were spot on! I had the enchiladas and requested one with red sauce and one with green sauce. The plate came out full of rice, beans and enchiladas that were very tasty. You can tell that they make their sauces in house from scratch by the depth of flavor and how they have just the right amount salt in them unlike a lot of other places that pour their sauces out of cans. The chips and salsa that they serve when you arrive were fresh, crispy and the salsa had a great smoky taste. We also tried their fresh made guacamole which was very fresh but sadly had no flavor at all. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and the parking lot makes it easy to get here. read more

I previously have not had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Mexican food in the area UNTIL visiting this place. We had a friend visiting from out of town who was craving Mexican. We were willing to comply (who isn't?) but had set expectations for Mexican food in the area low. We were in nearby Marlborough and this place was perfectly situated on our way home to Shrewsbury. There were no frills but this place scratched our Mexican itch right. The margarita menu was plentiful, both my dinner companions ordered the house margarita and I my usual mango which was tasty and got the job done. For the second round, I sampled their michelada which was also very satisfying. To start, we couldn't resist the cheese dip with creamy chile con queso which was definitely creamy AND cheesy with a bit of a kick from pickled jalapenos. It was a nice way to prepare our palate for the mains. Speaking of the mains, they organized their menu into meats but also include a vegetarian section which was appreciated. For my main, I ordered the vegetarian fajitas which was DELICIOUS. They did not skimp on the veggies which included carrots, zucchini, cauliflower, onions, peppers, and mushrooms sauteed in a delectable sauce and served with all the fix-ins including rice, beans, guac, pico de gallo, cheese, and sour cream. I literally could not stop eating this shit until I was uncomfortably full for the entire ride home. This was seriously some of the best Mexican I've had in recent memory. read more

Disappointing! We made reservations at Rancho Corona last night for my husband's birthday. We figured with it being a Saturday night that they'd be busy - and they were. It was also National Margarita Day. We arrived and we told the hostess that we had a 6:15 pm reservation for 4. I guess it didn't matter. She told me they were very busy so it would be 20 minutes. 10 minutes later my husband finally got up to the counter and again tried to explain that we had reservations. She said it would be 20 minutes (?)! We finally left. There seemed to be no system in place for checking in or getting seated and the waiting area was very chaotic. We ate at Rancho Carona last night. It was pretty good, however, the Chimichanga served here came with absolutely nothing on it. No salsa, no melted jack cheese or sour cream. Nothing!!! I've eaten in a lot of Mexican restaurants and this was the only time I was served a chimichanga like this. It is my go to dish when we do Mexican so it was rather disappointing in that regard. I went here a for lunch on a Thursday at 12:30, it was very slow, and too bad, it's a great little spot! The place was much bigger than I thought it would be.
