New to town and have been going around to all the donut shops to see what's good. Upon walking in a regretted even that. It's dingy and outdated and fairly unkempt. I decided to order anyways against my better judgment. I got two donuts, no drinks, nothing else and it was almost $9! Holy crap that is so expensive! I got 1 maple original and 1 blueberry stuffed Bismarck... nothing special, but they are almost 5 dollars a piece... I was expecting the best donut of my life after I just spent an arm and a leg for it, but honestly it was lackluster and frankly completely unenjoyable. I've gotten better donuts at a gas station after they were shipped there and sat too long. If I could give a 0 star I would, definitely do not go here, there are so many better places in town that are more affordable and more delicious. read more

The place seems geared toward a more posh crowd. Is it more expensive? Yes. However if you do give it a try you can expect the donuts to be of good quality. I would say that the price point seems much higher than it probably should be. $30 for a box is quite a lot of money. I was just trying to get some donuts for my coworkers before work. Everyone enjoyed them however I don't feel like the donuts were vastly different from regular donuts. I feel like if you are going to charge that much, the donuts should be larger. The blueberry cake donuts are my favorite from LaMar's!! The chocolate logs are a close second. I've ordered numerous times from LaMar's and their service has always been friendly and helpful. AMAZING donut place. They also serve coffee and other drinks. I'm in love with the donuts themselves. I ended up having a Bismark, and it was amazing. We came around 9AM, and everything still tasted pretty fluffy and full. The Bismark, despite having a basic amount of chocolate frosting, was still pretty sweet and very thick. I was amazed by how fluffy and dense the donut felt. A single Bismark would easily be enough for most people to feel full with a glass of water or some milk. The other donuts were good too. The cake donuts don't have quite the same "amazing!" taste that the fluffier donuts have, and the cake donut topics are pretty standard - sprinkles, coconut, etc. Luckily, they have a decent amount of fluffier donut choices like glazed, chocolate glazed, and others. The only downside is the staff. Maybe because it was Sunday morning, but they didn't seem too friendly or interested in asking questions. They seemed like they were more annoyed about me taking a little bit to select a donut. They seemed more focused on efficiency than customer service - which is okay sometimes. I know they have to get people in and out quickly. Decent interior seating. Donuts will be served on a plastic tray. There are regular tables and chairs and tall tables and chairs. They have restrooms as well - and the entire restaurant is pretty nicely laid out so that you don't feel crowded. Would definitely return on a regular basis. Great donuts, fast service. read more
