Lambert's is just great! Dorchester location is better in my opinion but this location is down the street from my job so yeah. Lunch hour rush does get packed especially at the salad bar. I've had a steak and cheese sub from the grill station before and it was so good! I'll definitely try other more food from that station. Salad bar is of course one of the best. I just don't like the chicken they serve for the salad bar (it's a little dry) read more

Just stopped for the first time after a visit to Patriot's Place. My family and I got a couple of cheesesteaks, a burrito, a calzone, and a pasta salad. Everything was excellent! Will definitely be back again soon. read more

OMG, I've wanted to get down to Lamberts for years but being 2 hrs away made it difficult. Finally made it and can't believe the size of their sandwiches, burritos, calzones and their hot and cold salad bar. I'm a big eater and this place checked all the boxes. I got the Italian Calzone, cut about 2 inches wide. It was filled at least 2 inches tall also. I then ordered a pastrami sandwich on a bulky. The man behind the counter didn't even weigh out the amount. He just kept pilling it on until it was 2-3 inches filled. I can't lie, I also got a burrito with pork. Again large and very tasty especially with the espinoca cheese. I did have some help eating all this but I can't even begin to tell you the size of these items. Find out for yourself. read more

I am in LOVE with Lambert's! I have been living in the area for a little over a year, driven by Lambert's about a million times, but just stopped in for the first time yesterday. They got the name right - Rainbow Fruit! As you walk in, it truly is a rainbow of fruits by the door. The whole store oozes freshness. The veggies and fruits looked amazing! There is also a prepared foods and deli section. I did not actually get anything from them, but just walking by it made me hungry. I am definitely going to try to get some grocery shopping done at Lambert's. At least when I know I need super fresh veggies and fruits! read more

I take my sandwiches very seriously. And, I rarely eat sandwiches so when I order something at a deli, I expect it to be what I ordered. I walked into Lamberts today, picked out the bread I wanted to use. The guy behind the deli counter asked me what I wanted and I ordered, Turkey, Provolone, Lettuce and Tomato. Not a complicated sandwich at all. I didn't order any condiments- no mayo, no mustard. It was approximately $6 for my sandwich and it was all wrapped up so I didn't check to be sure he had made it per my order. Should I have checked it? Do I need to double check the work of sandwich making? Got it back to my office after the wicked long line at the register. I was so excited to eat this sandwich. It was a huge chunk of Turkey, with Provolone and Lettuce... but no tomato and it was LATHERED in mayo. What did I get instead of tomato? PICKLES. Where in the world does Tomato ever sound like Pickles? I can't stand pickles. Scraping everything off of my $6 sandwich; what a waste. I hear that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This may still be true, but believe me, the rest of your afternoon couldn't be off to a worse start with the wrong lunch. read more

Oh, Lambert's, sweet Lambert's, you are truly a produce overachiever. The juiciest cherries *ever* (get your mind out of the gutter), oranges bigger than my head, and a salad bar that is seriously on crack. Honestly, the salad bar has everything you could ever want...and more. I did the typical salad bar blunder and tried to moosh everything possible thing in my bowl (for the record, a mouthful of spinach, feta cheese, hard-boiled egg, and pineapple...I could've done without that), but I couldn't get over the selection. I didn't get a chance to try the deli, but when I was there at lunchtime, the deli line was long and the place was hopping. Prepare to be full, satisfied, and *not* broke! read more

You know it's summer when the blueberries and raspberries start appearing at the salad bar! Yummy!! Just be careful, I may knock you down to get at them. :) Plus the salad bar has so many additional other irresistible selections of fresh crisp tasty fruits, vegetables, and prepared salads. Always a challenge to see if I can keep the increasing pile-up within budget, but so worth it to be able to eat so deliciously healthy so conveniently. Connie does an impressive job tending to the salad bar, keeping it spotlessly clean and well stocked. If wanting a sandwich, head to the deli. Grab a fresh roll from the bins, hand it to them, then request whatever simple or creative sandwich you conjure up for them to prepare for you. They carry Boar's Head, their own, and other great quality tasting deli meats, along with all types of cheeses, condiments, sauces, etc, as well as having hot items and soups. The lines can look long during peak times, but don't be concerned. They staff well to move impressively quickly. It is also a small grocery store making it easy to pick up additional items for snacks, etc. This was definitely the primary lunch go to place for almost 2 years when working in the area. read more

EPIC SALAD BAR!!! Lambert's has the best salad bar I've ever seen. So many options. They charge by the weight of your salad, and it's hard not to totally load up on all the goodies. Fresh, clean, amazing. You can easily get a "big salad" (Seinfeld) for less than $10. They also have a grocery store, deli, etc, etc. If you are hungry for something, they probably have it. But let's be honest, you won't be able to look away from the amazing salad bar in the middle. read more

I don't think there's a better salad bar around than Lambert's. Don't try to do it all on one trip, or you'll wind up with several pounds of salad. Save it for the next trip, because you'll definitely be back! Their fresh sandwiches and soup rock pretty hard, too, but the salad bar is definitely their shining star. And since they're a little grocery store too, you can grab just about anything to go with it. This is a favorite lunch destination for people at my company. The only caveat is that you'll want it to go in inclement weather, since the only place to sit is outside. read more

For the food this would have 5 stars easily . I stop here for a sandwich every time I'm In the area and it never disappoints. Great selection of groceries , Produce etc as well. I have subtracted two stars due to my encounter today with I think the manager. He was so incredibly RUDE to his employees and I was disgusted. He ordered two of them around like animals in front of all the customers . I would really like to continue coming here but please get some respect for your hired help. They're the reason that Lambert's is an excellent establishment. read more

I don't understand why everyone that works here is an asshole. I don't use that word lightly. I've shopped here about a half a dozen times and each time I have had a different checkout person, and each one of those checkout people have been downright assholes. Rude, abrasive, aloof, hurried and smug. Additionally, their self-proclaimed "World's Best Salad Bar" is a crusty display akin to a Stop & Shop salad bar and deli counter combo. If soggy pasta salad with a film of aged mayo gets your juices flowing, then come on by! I have squeezed out three stars for the sheer convenience of stopping here on my way home for a bottle of wine or a head of lettuce. read more

Still great! Lambert's has added tables in the outdoor seating area and they also installed a dropdown weather shade thingy so you can still eat when it's raining. They've also added a grill/hot meal section on the far side of the deli. You can get pot roast, baked chicken, etc. or you can order a cheesesteak sub at lunch and they'll fix it up. I don't see any reason to go up the road to Legacy Place for lunch -- Lambert's has got everything I need and the prices are still good! read more

Terrible sub. They throw the sub together with no effort and all the meat is on one side. This place used to be great for sandwiches however it is sad to say it is no longer the case. The top of the bread was broken and they also shrank their sandwhich sizis. I am really disapointed and hope they change their greedy, lazy ways. read more

Took my elderly Mother there to buy Christmas wreaths & a tree. We have been coming here for 20 years. I asked the employees about a cart to shop & they pointed to a small grocery cart, to which point I asked if I'm buying 30" wreaths where should I put them. They never came out to help us carry the wreaths & cleared a space on the counter for me to set them. We bought 2-30" wreathes, a swag & a tree, for a total of $250.....the employees finally came out to load our purchases in the car, wow. Poor customer service & way overpriced. Lambert's has a sign outside saying 'world's best salad bar.' Lambert's sign is telling the truth. Uh, I have had a job in the area for about a week and I have gotten this salad bar three times. It will blow your mind. I got so excited about this salad bar that when I was getting out of the car I slammed my head on the door getting out. The Salad bar has friggin hummus, pitas, wrapped grape leaves, delicious cheese filled pasta and every type of vegetable and cheese you could ever concieve of. Oh, and it is stupid cheap. I can't believe this place has gone unreviewed!! Stopped by Saturday on way to Cape to get sandwiches. BF ended up getting dinner - easily the best, hands down, cowboy rib-eye EVEH! Ok. So I cooked it but still.... the meat and the attention to the butchering, unseen today, was amazing!! So good we got more steaks on the way back. Customer service is great. You're really missing out on something special if you're not buying your proteins here. The local butcher shop is back :) read more

Oh, Lambert's. Thank you for being you. Lambert's definitely does a Grade A Sammy, freshly slicing their Boar's Head deli meat to-order. Their salad bar might actually be the world's best - it's /that/ good. Their prepared foods as well as burrito/bowl station serve as an awesome option if you're not feeling sandwiches or salads. Their produce is always solid, and for a place that doesn't boast a ton of square feet they're quite well-stocked. My only minor gripe is that there is one particularly miserable employee that seems to be there cashing people out every time I go. This person will ask me how I am, and then when I tell them how I am and proceed to ask them the same question, this person responds with "Fine." I'm not looking for a hug here - maybe just a wee bit of cheer? read more

Lambert's boasts they have the world's best salad bar, and you know what I agree! Nice little place down the street from one of my offices. They also have a fantastic Deli that you can preorder from online, as well as a club for when you buy 12 sandwiches you get one free. I think I've been here 4 times but Lambert's has become a mandatory stop for me & my wife on the way home from any Patriots game where I know they will be open. The salad bar is epic and fresh and the protein station always has great roasted chicken, pork, brussell sprouts, etc. Haven't tried their burritos but the calzones are on point and the sandwiches outstanding. There's something zen about picking out your roll and handing it to the deli guy who creates a masterpiece. Of course maybe I've just been in a great mood since the Patriots have been winning lately but I'm pretty sure this place is excellent! read more

Lambert's is family-owned and is just awesome. Try the deli, the ridiculous salad bar (they have someone that just manages the salad bar because it's so big), the homemade cookies, soups, and fruit! Everything is fresh. The staff is very nice and they know how to move the crowds that come, particularly around lunch time. This is a place to visit again and again. read more

SALAD BAR, indeed. when I commute from boston to providence down route 1 (its ALL about route 1, forget that noise on 93 people!) I always make it a point to stop here to pick up a salad. its fresh, reasonably priced, and you leave feeling good about supporting small independent local business. the people who work here are always nice and friendly. This place is great for berries (1.50-2+) per container...so much cheaper than bigger markets. Salad bar as others have stated is enourmous and fresh, fresh, fresh. Everything looks perfect and tastes great. Deli has great sales too. I love the sign by the road that tells the specials. It usually makes my car pull into their parking lot. This place is awesome, plain and simple. Whether you are looking for a local family run spot to do some grocery shopping, or want to stop off for lunch (take out or eat at the picnic tables out front), Lambert's has nothing but fresh produce, an amazing salad bar, huge sandwiches and great specialty food products through and through. I am biased towards the salad bar, because I only go here for work lunches. There are two sides, each with about 24 different vegetables, fruits, cheeses, proteins (tuna, chicken, eggs, etc), and about the same variation in salad dressings. No matter when I go, there is always a woman changing out or adding on to the fresh ingredients with MORE fresh ingredients, and the price is not an arm and a leg like you'd pay for "fast food salads" at Stop N Shop or Shaw's, etc. The other folks I go to lunch with often times get the sandwiches from the deli, and without exaggerating, there is enough cold cuts/meat/chicken/whatever in a single sandwich to probably make two or three other sizeable sandwiches. This location is also a Phantom Gourmet favorite, so if you get a chance to stop in, check out Lambert's and enjoy! read more

Hands down the best salad bar in New England. The fresh turkey chunks they cut are stupendous. Many sizes to chose from. Including quite the amount of dressings. My friend heads straight for the deli and I for. Bar and w meet at the resister. Two mammoth lunches $12 bucks combining. We sit outside on the picnic table. I've been on Weight Watchers for a year and this type a place is what keeps me at goal. read more

While I do go often, my review is on my experience today. During my dinner break, I stopped in for a salad. I got a few extra items (2 bags total) I specifically asked if the salad the young lady put in a bag was mine and was informed it was for the person behind me. Got back to work a town over only to find it was indeed my salad. I called and they remembered me and told me I could come back and make another. I did as it was my dinner. I went back to the young ladies that I checked out with to let them know I was back. After making another salad, one asked the other if I needed to pay again. What? Why? Emily turned to me quickly and said no. I think better training is needed. read more

Lambert's has one of the freshest and most well stocked salad bars I've ever seen. Heaping piles of fresh meat and vegetables, homemade pasta salads and enough variety in salad dressing to satisfy just about anyone! You can pick out fresh bread from the deli and order any kind of sandwich you like. The first time I was there, I ordered about 10 different things on the sandwich and my co-worker looked at me funny and said "Wow, I guess he's used to the New York style sandwich requests! He didn't bat an eye!". Needless to say, the sandwich had everything I asked for and was packed tight with tasty meat! There's also a hot pastrami, chicken parmesan, and soup stand next to the deli. I don't think the soup is freshly made at Lambert's but is tasty nonetheless. And to top it all off, they've got fresh fruits and vegetables at a very reasonable price and right on the highway! read more

Lamberts is practically a daily stop for me at lunch while at work.. even if I brought my own that day. The salad bar is to die for. Always fresh, full, and very clean. The fruit in the salad bar is my favorite part (in fact I'm eating a delicious cup of fruit I just purchased at Lamberts.. which is what sparked this review). The deli counter is great also because they make amazing sandwiches and load on whatever meat you order. The staff is friendly.. the place is clean.. the food is amazing. read more
