They responded immediately, quoted me quickly, and were out within a few hours. They were incredibly pleasant and professional. My driveway looks great now. They even took extra care where I had slate landscape edging. They were done quickly and efficiently. I'll definitely keep them on speed dial for the spring when I need trees taken out. They left two days later and never finished the job. I hired them to cut down two trees November 19, 2025. The were there for two days, then left. They returned once to clean up light brush piles, but their machine didn't work, and they left ..... never to return. They left the brush piles and two tall tree trunks - one was a 35 foot tall 125 year old oak, the other was a 12 foot tall maple. In May 2026, I put the property up for sale. The City of Rahway required me to remove the trees and all debris in order to qualify for the C of O at closing on May 31. A conversation with Steve made it obvious that then would not finish the job. I hired another company which came May 26 and did all the work in one day. I sent them an email describing their 6 month-plus abandonment of the job. I asked for a refund of $4,624 for the 2/3 of the work that they did no perform. No response Today, 6/21/2026, I called to follow up. Steve denied that they abandoned the job, even though it is now 9 months with no contact with them Steve said they came with a crane (which was necessary to handle the 35 foot oak stump.) He claimed my neighbor, would not allow him access though his yard. This neighbor paid a small portion of the contract because the tree straddled our property line. He made the original contact with Precision Tree. Their truck was parked in his yard for the two days Precision actually worked. The neighbor "absolutely false." Despite multiple calls and texts, he's had no contact with Precision. Then. in the conversation with with Steve he claimed that the contract gives him ownership of the wood from the trees!!! He would go after the other company I hired because they took the trees. This from a company that owes me $4.624!!! The conversation went nowhere. I hung up.

I wasn't going to be home, but i agreed that he could do it while i was gone. He sent me pictures of the limbs trimmed from the tree when he was done. I got home after dark, but went to his house to pay him cash as i didn't want him to have to wait for his money. It was dark so i didn't go in the yard to look around. The following day, i was shocked. There were branches left all over the yard. Tiki torches were broken and left laying in the yard. A glass bird feeder was broken and left in the concrete patio. Furniture tgat was moved was not out back in place. Large branches were left hanging in an adjoining tree. Out "hard wired" landscape lights were broken. They left a mess on the street tgat i had to clean up. I called Steve and send text messages many times and each time Steve provided something bullshit as to why he couldn't come clean it up. He was busy, the weather, etc... it's been 3 weeks. I asked for him to give me back $200 so i can hire someone to clean up his mess but he refuses. I gave him the opportunity to make this right before i take this to the next steps I made 2 big mistakes. 1- Hiring this company, 2- Trusting him and paying him cash without looking at his work first. I will not make any further mistakes. I will be doing the following: 1- File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau 2- File a complaint with Consumer Affairs Do yourself a favor. Stay away from this company. When hiring any company, check to see if they have insurance. Ask for a COI (certificate of insurance) Stay away.
