I took my 2021 Kia Telluride to Lamb's. They diagnosed that I needed to replace my thermostat for $1,245. I was shocked. I looked up the part online it was an $89 part. I called and asked them about the pricing. They told me that their part cost was $325 and that with the diagnostic fee it would be $1245. They said they would see if they could lower the price. I then called DAVIS TIRE AND AUTOMOTIVE, they told me that they could do the exact same repair for $450. I can't help but feel ripped off on this one. I won't be back. Last night my husband and I were stranded at the Starbucks on Lakeline and Crystal Falls Pkwy. My husband was trying to reach Honda Leander on 183 where he usually gets his car serviced and looking at towing options. I was considering calling Lambs Auto across the street but when I realized it was about 5:50 and they would be closing in 10 minutes, I hesitated. In desperation, I decided to call even though I was convinced that it was too late for them to be able to help us. Much to my surprise, Robert, who answered the phone said I'm sending someone over to help! Sure enough within less than 3 minutes Luke and Will arrived and quickly tested the electrical system and figured out the problem. They took our car over to Lambs for us, ordered the part before they closed shop that night and by 8:30 the next morning, our car was ready to go! Called over a service on my truck and was told to just bring it in the next morning and we can do whilst you wait, NO appointment needed. I arrived early as asked and was told sorry no we can't do it this morning, maybe late afternoon. This location is not suggested for tire or oil changes. In addition to costing more, it takes longer than elsewhere. I recently got new tires, and I went in for an oil change. It has been almost two hours, and no one has been tinkering with my car, which has been hanging up there. It's included in the service to rerotate, but it would be nice if they asked if I need it since all of my tires were just replaced a month ago. It takes 20 to 25 minutes if I go somewhere else. read more

I was told to come early in the morning and they would squeeze me in. Not only did they do so, but they took their time. Because I was there at an early morning hour and on a Tuesday, it wasn't too busy in the bays behind the front desk. They said that I'd be out in about 90 minutes... ...and I was done in 90 minutes! That is the first and only time that's happened for me, and I'm hoping that I didn't just burn up 20 years of good karma to do it. Seemed nice. BUT... Everything seemed legit. Drop my car off after getting a coupon in the mail for an oil change with $15 off and a free tire rotation. We also added an inspection and told them to change the wiper blades. Everybody was nice it was a timely manner, but my husband actually without me knowing marked the tires so that he would know that the tire rotation was completed. When I brought it home, he went and looked and the tires had not been rotated. He was very frustrated and felt taken advantage of. I called them back and asked them if they had rotated the tires. The guy on the other end of the line told me absolutely they had rotated the tires. He said he even remembered seeing the tire off the vehicle. I wanted to test to see if he would lie to me or not. I don't know a lot about mechanics or car stuff but I told him that my husband had marked the tires. He then acted very confused and talked to the guy who had done the supposed tire rotation. The guy gave some kind of answer that was like "yeah we didn't decide to rotate them because of how the tread was wearing". Obviously , that might be true. Haven't had our tires rotated in a very long time and they definitely needed to be rotated. No mention of the lack of rotation was told to us upon check out. The guy offered to rotate the tires if I came back in. But honestly we just have a bad taste in our mouth and we'll just continue to go to get Diccount Tires and Firestone in Leander. We have always had good service with them and never had any problems with feeling like we were being lie to or cheated. Side note: if you need more intense repairs go to Frieze Automotive and if you need motorcycle work go to PiggPenn right next door to Frieze. read more

I had an oil change and an automatic transmission fluid flush done. I was quoted between an hour and a half and two hours, after 4 1/2 hours, I gave up waiting and went home. The next day, when I picked up the vehicle, I checked the oil level and they had overfilled the oil by over a quart. I had to drain some out on my own. Would not recommend this business. read more

I wouldn't recommend this shop to do anything to your vehicle but an oil change!!! I started out by taking my car to get an oil change along with checking drive belts and all went well until my car started to overheat. After a misdiagnosis on my vehicle to fix a overheating problem I took it back to the team a day and a half later to rediagnose the problem at hand also asking the team to provide proof of the previous failing part they charged me for which was to fix the problem and they couldn't provide that for me and after spending over $500 to supposedly fix the problem the first time they said I needed to spend yet another $540 for a different part to fix the same problem I brought my vehicle in to fix not even three days before. I went to talk to the team in person to figure out a solution to have my vehicle fixed problem free and it ended with John stating he would talk to the boss about a reasonable solution I offered and would call me back within the day yet the team has not reached out to me completely turning their attention elsewhere. read more
