Why are there no zero stars? Took my truck in about two months ago for oil and filter change, plus state inspection. My God, I hate this place. The manager, John, is incompetent, rude, irresponsible, and dismissive. They did not have the Valvoline product I have used in my truck for past 5 years, so I allowed substitute. No problem. Told them not to mess with air filter, battery, and wipers. They did anyway. Initially advised that I had one inspection a ahead of me. Over an hour later car not inspected and still waiting. Finally, inspection completed (who knows?) and a different technician starts to change my oil a second time. I walked up a told him to stop what he was doing (including messing with my air filter and battery) and he told me he was doing his job. I advised him that it was my truck and his job was to take his hands off when I said so. John, the incompetent manager, arrived and told me that tech was not at fault. I then suggested as manager it must just be that he was negligent in his oversight and follow-up. Everything then escalated (understatement). I had to demand a copy of my inspection which Jason(?) the tech wadded up and tossed through my driver side window. He then told me not to come back. LMAO! This location is closer than Valvoline location I normally use. Not sure I will use either, again. Certainly NOT this one. Agree they should be run out of business. read more

Went there today to get my oil changed. I let Zackery know to please replace the gasket on the drain plug and also you will need to remove my skid plate to get to the oil filter which is a pop in (all Toyota products moving forward with this to lessen the waste factor) which also has two more o ring that need to be replaced when done. I won't know for a day or so if those O-rings were replaced or not but I can tell you they did not know how to put it back on my skid plate. When I got home to inspect the work I noticed two bolts diagonal from each other we're not screwed in completely. Why because the holes were not in aligned so he was sitting there hammering her away with the impact drill when all he had to do was align them. Got me so mad at my house. Just paid $90 to have to fix their bs. Second portion to the review: I went back to get it fixed and now zackery is telling me it my problem. Someone needs to teach the kids management skills. Never me speak continuously cut me off. Just simply childish. read more

This is my FAVORITE oil change express of ALL TIME, and when I was born Moby Dick was still a minnow. A baby minnow. I've had my inspection done there, and my oil changes for the past 3 years. Great CREW, great teamwork, excellent service and trusted work. I like staying in my car during oil changes, I can listen to the radio & don't have to smell burnt coffee (you know what I mean!) and hear the phones ringing, and the whole lobby thing. Most of all, I TRUST them with my car, an Audi A3. And I'll tell you, I tend to write good or bad reviews but if I could give them 100 stars I would. Trust, service, comfort....what's NOT to like? But this last time I went, I was told my battery was bad (just replaced the battery 45 mins before with a new one), my alternator is going out, and my break fluid was low. None of which are true. Went to double check their work and found this lovely socket, smashed down by my hood. Lucky that didn't fall and do actual damage. I'll be going somewhere else from now on. Look for another oil change service provider. They screwed up my car. They didn't cover my reimbursement. They didn't apologize. They ruined my family vacation. I took my VW Atlas into them on Sunday. They said they didn't have the oil or filter for the car. They did say I could purchase it and bring it back so they could change it. That's what I did. After the service was done my family and I hit the road to Dallas for a last minute family vacation. 25 minutes out from the hotel. We heard a noise from underneath the car. After multiple stops to see what was the problem it turns out Vavoline's service providers didn't put the screen underneath the car back on properly. It was getting caught in the wind and eventually hitting the ground. I spent money and time attaching the bottom to the car so it was drivable. We made it to the hotel. I had to the. Get up to take the car to VW dealership to spend money out of my pocket to get the slip cover replaced. The dealership also said that the filter was not properly placed in the car and oil leaked all over the engine. I paid for it. We drove home find. I filed a claim on Tuesday. It took 3 days for them to get back to me. Only to find out they were reimbursing me for a portion of the work done and none of my the time lost with my family. Joseph who is the manager of the store is horrible with his customer service. Not once was he apologetic about the matter. I had to follow up with him 3 times to get an update. On 16 March I took my vehicle to Valvoline located at 651 N US 183, Leander, TX 78641 to have my oil changed. The mechanic that worked on my car was horse playing with the person underneath my car while servicing my vehicle. After the mechanic finished the work, my car would not start; the reason it would not start, is the mechanic tightened the oil filter to my engine wire harness (see attached pictures) and severed wires that would not allow my vehicle to start. The on-site manager immediately tried to blame my car not staring on my battery and bad alternator. Until he finally check his mechanic's work and realized their error. This negligent mistake caused by Valvoline has created a huge inconvenience leaving me without a vehicle for 6 days; additionally, no one from their management team (store or region) contacted me to apologize or offer any assistance. In fact, I had to contact their corporate office to ask, if someone will contact me regarding my vehicle. Unfortunately, the first and only time I heard from Valvoline's management team following their mishap, was them telling me they refuse to replace the damaged part for my vehicle. I voice my disagreement with their decision. The store manager told me the only option I have to elevate and overturn his decision was to take them to court. Wow!!! Really!!! The only reason I gave this particular store one star is because, I couldn't give them a negative five stars. This particular location is the worst representation of Valvoline's customer care and accountability. This place overfilled my engine oil, completely destroying my engine then denied doing it even after 2 dealerships confirmed it was overfilled. Luckily a dealership was able to get the warranty though to replace the engine but I'm still without a vehicle for 2 months and out the cost of paying for towing and the first inspection. Today I tried this place out again. They never came to my car to ask me what I needed. They were some chatting in the bay while some worked. A car moved and someone waved me nonchalantly. Once in I asked if they wanted to know what I needed before I drove in. The response was one of probably of course an oil change. However I also needed an inspection and didn't know if I was in the right bay for that. I was told it was fine. Then I am told they don't have my oil filter. I've been to other places where they go to auto stores nearby and take care of this. Not happening here. I did get the inspection but have to go elsewhere to get my oil change completed. A waste for me. Too many oil change places around so will just go elsewhere from now on. read more

Took my 2008 mustang GT500 to them and they did not clean out the oil filter. Good enough and put a cheap oil filter on it which caused it to blow out later. Almost ruined my engine and sprayed oil all over the car. They need to communicate better and do a better job. And they still charge me $100. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! They made two major mistakes that caused my daughters car to be towed after leaving here for an oil change . We are fortunate that the engine wasn't blown and we are out just under $500 vs thousands . They have yet to call me and I was told corporate would call me within 48 hours . It says on their receipt that if repairs are needed, they must authorize before they are done or basically they are not responsible. The manager is never in , I had to call him and he told me that because we had it fixed , where it was towed , they are not responsible, even though I have pictures and tech clearly states that they messed up on not one but two things! I gave them my number and told them where the car was towed, and never heard from anyone . I never saw the receipt , as it was emailed to my daughter. We both work and my daughter is a college student and also works. We needed her car ! I only asked for the towing and the charge to fix the wires they crimped and the new oil change that had to be done as they left a piece that should have been removed, causing it not to seal correctly . This place is unbelievable. Cant believe I even have to put 1 star. I took my car here 3/10 for an oil change. Post oil change the gears were slipping and the car was not driving right. Pulled over on the side of the road turned it off and back on. I was greeted with no movement in my car. No revving either. Spent 4 hours off work to call a tow truck and get it towed to a trusted dealership. Nissan finds that the air filter was put back into the car BACKWARDS. This caused a lot of debris to go into the intake system and put my car into a protective mode and would not allow it to be driven. I put in a claim with Valvoline for reimbursement of the charges to fix my car since they did indeed mess my car up by their negligence. I get a call from the manager Gage today 3/13. He is claiming that the car came in with the air filter backwards. The employee took the air filter out showed the air filter, was told we would clean it at home, and put the air filter back in backwards purposely since 'that is how it came in'. Here's the thing: 1. The air filter did NOT come into their shop backwards as the 'back side' is SPOT CLEAN. If I was driving around with a backwards air filter for 6 months that is the side that would be dirty. Again, have video proof from Nissan it is spot clean. 2. Why would an employee intentionally put in a dirty air filter backwards knowing what that can do? I'm no car guru but I have 1 brain cell and know that debris would be sucked into the system if placed the incorrect way which they admittedly did on purpose. They are not wanting to reimburse because they claim 'it came into the shop backwards'. Which is a joke in itself. Never come to this place- they intentionally put air filters in backwards and refuse to take ownership for their negligence. Review update: We will skip a lot of the in between on this but after requesting security footage and being sent short snippets of videos, we requested a full video from the time the car pulled into the bay until the time the car pulled out of the bay. During this 15 minute video, the employee struggled to put my air filter back in, the video 'glitches' while the person is struggling with my air filter then video resumes. During this 'glitch' the time stamp skips a full 25 seconds. 25 full seconds unaccounted for while my air filter was being moved around. The time stamp was cut out in the original shortened video sent earlier in the day. Shortly after sending the full video the manager, Gage, called and stated they would cover the costs. My point in the update is, it was hell trying to get these videos and cooperation from this place. Before I could even point out the missing 25 seconds-they called to let me know they would pay for the, and I quote, 'mistake or whatever happened'. They did right by agreeing to pay. read more

Cant speak for all of the employees, but when my Wife took her car there, they apparently like to play the game of getting her to commit to additional charges, and even adding/charging addition services that were never even discussed - all without discussing pricing until they take your card, charge you, then give the card back - and wont give you a receipt until you ask for one! Even the prior quoted price of the full-synth oil change for the make, model and year of the vehicle I gave them was a lie. The 93.99 price was given to me "plus tax". However, even though they KNEW the vehicle (Santa Fe), they proceeded to charge an "extra oil charge" AND a labor charge for the oil change on top of it. Dont be fooled by their scam operation. Speaking to the manager is a complete waste of time since he tries to talk to you like you are an idiot with things like: "Anytime you get work done anywhere, they charge for labor" and "We dont know in advance how much oil your vehicle takes". Seriously. He actually said those things and a few more. Been going to JiffyLube, Walmart, and half a dozen other places in the Cedar Park area for 20+ years and never had an issue until going to this scam Valvoline location. These are my impressions at my attempts at getting service here. Monday at 11am I showed up for an inspection. 4 employees came out at the same time approaching my car as if something was wrong. I asked for an inspection and was told the inspector wouldn't be on site until Wednesday and Friday. They all watched as I drove away. It was a little odd, like Children of the Corn. But I came back today, Friday, at 11:30 and was told to come back at noon. I came back and was 2nd in line. They asked me to wait in the car with the AC running. 30 minutes later I see a man get out of his car and attempt to go inside. He was shooed back to his car. Now I need to go to the bathroom. People behind me are backing up and leaving. I do the same. I'm sure there are plenty of explainations for all of this. My point is to give my first impressions to anyone who has considered coming here. This is a brand new facility and Leander could have allowed any new business to take advantage of the spot. In my opinion, a drive thru coffee shop would be better suited here. read more

This place sucks. The fist time we went I. The guy said they were out of the oil we needed and that everyone was out. I went down the street to mobile one and they had everything and got us out in 10 minutes. Went today to get an inspection and the same guy said they couldn't do it because the computer only works until 10am. Back to mobile one and had no problem.
