I chatted with one of the service advisors about his recommendations on the better car makers, and was told to stay away from Hyundai/Kia, any hybrids, and any turbos, for various maintenance and longevity reasons. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to share that kind of information. After about an hour, my vehicle was was finished and I was called to the counter. They charged me $11.50 for the emissions inspection, which is the posted rate on the DPS website. Great customer service, friendly advisors, and a comfortable waiting area. I had a great experience here.

I did my homework and gathered about 5 estimates for this service from local shops and Toyota dealerships. Prices were coming in anywhere from $1000 - $1500. I stopped in at Christian Brothers in Leander on Sonny Drive and spoke to Brandon. He text me a written quote, which came out about half of what the other shops were asking. They also give a "Veterans/First responders" discount. Their work was professional, and they communicated with me all the time. They sent a video of a free service inspection of my truck, pointing out any areas of concern. I think I've found my back up mechanic for anything I can't do or just don't want to. Luis at Tech One Automotive was very professional when he answered the phone and patiently addressed all of my questions, putting me at ease. At the time I called, they were running a synthetic oil change promotion, so I decided to give them a try. It was already late in the day, but Luis said that if I could get in before 4:30pm, he could squeeze me in. So I got there at about 4:20pm and Luis quickly got me onboarded and brought my vehicle around to the back. He explained that they had just opened this new location in April to expand into the Cedar Park area. While I was waiting, Luis shared with me how to connect to the fast, free WiFi, and offered free snacks, water, and coffee. They have a comfortable lobby with chairs and a couch if you wanted to wait at the shop. They also offer free loaner cars and will even call an Uber to get you home safely -- this is truly impressive customer service. With the oil change, they gave me a free vehicle inspection and shared with me recommended services. Not once did I feel they were being shady, dishonest, nor pushy, and I appreciate the authenticity in their approach. Overall, I felt my experience was superb and I received very good value during my visit.

Calling the business, Dominic, the manager, was very prompt in answering phone and transparent in what and why he recommends certain services to performed at various mileage intervals. He was very pleasant to speak to and respectful. The quote he gave me for maintenance items I requested was lower than what I had received from other auto repair shops in the area. He had given me a buy 2 get 1 service free deal, which really brought down the price. The reason why I didn't end up moving forward with them is because when I visited them in person, they seemed short-staffed. I waited a long time before speaking with Dominic as he was juggling several tasks, and there wasn't another service advisor available. Since I was on a time-crunch, I didn't think the timing would have worked out. I think I'd be open to trying them out in the future though.

Here is what I mean: 1 - AJ greeted & guided me into the appropriate bay. 2 - He explained that I could stay in my car where I might be more comfortable or wait in their waiting room (I chose to wait in their waiting room). 3 - He asked for the previous sticker. When he noticed the residue on my windshield from a past oil change sticker (not theirs), he offered to clean that right up for me! When I got my vehicle back, the residue was gone. 4 - He came to the waiting room to inform me of what my cost would be for my requested services. 5 - Mid-way through the oil change, he let me know which of my fluids were good-to-go & the ones that he topped off. 6 - He showed me my air filter, & we discussed when I would likely need to replace it (a replacement air filter was not needed). No guilt or pressure tactics, just helpful information. 7 - When the oil change was completed, he drove it to the other side where they do the tire rotations & came to let me know that my vehicle had moved to the next phase. The guy that completed my tire rotation & took the payment was extremely courteous & very personable as well. He took the time to put a smile on my face when I knew that he had to be hot as hell at 3pm in the afternoon! I wish that I had asked for his name, but not having his name doesn't diminish his part in why I am giving these guys a 5-star rating. Great job all around! TOP NOTCH experience. I do…read more Well, this morning, I took my wife's car here to have them check the brakes because of a squeeking sound coming from one wheel. The car has 37000 miles on the odometer. After a not too long wait, the service sales person came over and gave me an estimate on replacing brakes and rotors. He then stated that a squeeking sound isn't always a sign of needed repair and that I could get another 40 K miles out of my existing brakes. I guarantee you that there are several companies in my area that would hav told me that I needed to do the job right now. I have been to this Sun Auto several times and will continue to bring my business here.

This team has offered the BEST auto service I've ever experienced thus far…read more My car decided to not start while I was out running errands and I was really nervous about having to spend so much money on towing AND diagnostic testing so soon after just making another large purchase on a repair I needed. I spoke with Alan C. on multiple occasions before finally deciding to just get a quote for towing and everything to going forward with it to get it over with (I didn't really have a choice at this point). Alan was patient and so informative about pricing, timing, and everything. Once he found out how close I was to the business (literally a 2-minute walk), he and another team member, Josh, drove out themselves and jumped my car so I could drive it around the corner to the shop for further inspection. I saved sooo much time and money because of this courtesy, they did not have to do this, yet they did. I was able to get in and out in under 30 minutes with a new battery, a cheaper inspection to make sure my battery wouldn't give out again, and some further recommendations for my next service so that the quoted prices would be saved in their system. BEYOND thankful for this team, thank you again Alan, Josh, and the rest of the team!
