Upon going into the store we saw many workers in there but no one seemed to care they had a customer, we were finally acknowledged by an older lady with dark hair (I wish I would of got her name) she was very rude from the beginning even with us telling her what and why we needed it done, she said in the very beginning "I don't think we can do that, but I'll ask the jeweler" after going to the back with my rings for what seemed like forever she came back out and rudely told us if he did it you'd be able to tell where he cut it and that to reset my ring it would be over $400 - it wasn't about the price it was about the absolute rudeness we received from her from the minute we walked in. I had lost my husband 2 days before that, it was hard enough going out in public but when she showed no care in the world like we were just ruining her day by being there. We decided they did not deserve our business. We decided to check another nearby jeweler while we were down there. He was the nicest guy, he quoted us a price less than half of what Raskins quoted us and had it done in an hour! It was done perfectly and NO you can not tell where he had to cut it. He even saved the piece he cut out for me! He showed remorse in why we needed it done and actually gave a shit. Sorry Raskin but you have lost my business forever. Found Goldmine Jewelers and was greeted by a nice gentleman who gave his condolences when we told him the resized ring request was for a memorial ring and he spoke kindly to like he wanted our business and explained things unlike the other place. Thw wrap has 35 diamonds on each side. They each had a customer so we wanted 45 minutes. The reviews were good so we went there. They seems pressured & glum. I was given a quote of $545. He was very interested & disappointed that I was not having my Custom made gold ring with a large heart shape diamond with 3 other very large diamonds with Berma Ruby's & other precious stones. I custom designed this ring with a skilled Jeweler. We left my wedding rings there & had a very uncomfortable gut feeling that I was being overcharged. I called 3 other Jeweler's in the Prescott area. Their prices were half Afterglow Jewelers price. We picked it up the next day. I waited until after the Holidays. We were in downtown Prescott & saw that Raskins Jeweler's was still there. We walked in & the staff greeted us with large smiles in a very friendly atmosphere! They are resizing my rings plus they will check all of the They are going to put a Rhodium finish on the 2 rings so the rings with look brand new. Raskin's Jeweler's price was $260.00 with no deposit taken. An excellent price. My wedding rings with be ready in 2 weeks. Wow, I will always go with my gut feeling. That is my truth!
