I have bought 5-7 fixtures (after 1 died, they did honor the warranty) from this store in the past few years. I have them order the overly expensive bulbs for me as need arises. On 2/16/15 I went to buy 4 bulbs for 2 lights (that I bought at this store). Jasmine charged me, ordered them, and told me they would be in in 10 days. Two weeks later I finally called the store to see what the hold up was. Someone dumped me on Jasmine and she told me they weren't ordered b/c the minimum number to order would be 30 bulbs. (It seems as if I must be the only person dumb enough to have bought the fixture THEY STILL HAVE ON DISPLAY!!!) and she would try to find another vendor. I asked her to call me back when she found another vendor. A bit more than another week passed and Jasmine never called. I went to the store to speak with the manager, Colleen. (there were a few calls with Marco earlier that day) Colleen did call me later that day and went to work to find my bulbs. That was yesterday. Today she called me to repeat the same story as Jasmine's (which I relayed to her YESTERDAY!) except the minimum number was 50. I expressed I couldn't believe I was the only person in store history who needed those bulbs and that as a store, couldn't they order a box of 50 from their vendor and divide the bulbs among stores? Guess not... Apparently they must only have one vendor because Colleen seemed to be at a loss of where to find a bulb for a fixture they have had on display in that store for at least 4 years. I called back 30-40 minutes later and Colleen was gone and I spoke with another employee who said he was a manager though I did not believe him. His name is Brandon/Brenden. Instead of helping me (because in the 30 minutes since I spoke with Colleen last I found the bulbs on Amazon for $1/each less than they HAVE ALREADY CHARGED ME!) and he basically started a fight with me insisting that Jasmine did call me back in February. I angrily pointed out that I am the one getting yanked around, I am the one who is selling a house and I am the one with a dark hallway holding this crap up and that perhaps he should listen to me. Brandon thinks we have a difference of opinion. This store sucks. Their products are not worth the price as of the 5 original fixtures I have bought, 2 died and needed replacement within two years. The bulbs are so obscure they are not worth the effort. If you change the bulbs more than once or twice, it costs more than the fixture did in the first place. Jasmine is at best incompetent, at worse - lazy and a liar. Colleen gave me hope only to ruin it by repeating my story to me as her news 24 hours after I had already told her the problem. Brandon is just belligerent and close-minded. On a good note, there is a wonderful kid there, Marco, who worked very hard yesterday to find me answers. Marco is the only reason this store gets 1 star. I asked Brandon what they were going to do to make this right. He said give me my money back. I told him that wasn't making anything right, it was just a legal requirement and that it was I who had been yanked around for more than 3 weeks. I asked him to have Colleen call me back b/c I AM DONE WITH THESE PEOPLE AND THIS ENTIRE STORE! read more

I came only for light bulbs and I was so amazed walking into this store, this store really is lamps and plus!! The furniture is so beautiful and all the small nicknacks! I was impressed by all the amazing lighting! Employees were awesome! Young Hispanic girl named kim was very helpful, really helped my husband and i narrow down our choices of lighting and cant wait to go back and make purchases for our future renovation. Worst customer service around! Manager was rude and very unhelpful. Found 2 post lights that I liked and they would not ship for 2 weeks and then another 5 days to get to me. Expedited shipping was $116 and the manager would not budge on that price. You have got to be kidding me. read more

Delightful customer service. Gigantic selection---definitely beats out box stores, but also higher priced. The lady that helped us find a bathroom light fixture was extremely patient and helpful and did not want to give up on assisting us search for exactly what we were looking for. I love this store because they aren't kidding when it comes to the "plus" section of their name: mirrors, home decor, etc....Its a fun place to shop! read more

We bought fans and lighting from them when we first moved here. Now that we are in a new house, we returned. Still a fabulous selection - we went Contemporary. Marcos was our sales person. He would very patiently print out our selections for us to take home and tape to the walls. Installation went smoothly as well. If there were any problems or rebalancing (even the next season) it was done without any concerns. read more

The worst customer service I think I've ever experienced in my entire life, just came in to look for a new lamp and a replacement bulb for my professional lighting system. The lady behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me however she did help the gentleman that walked up right behind me. Then she proceeded to go to the back of the store and joke around and hang out with her friends that work in the back. Totally annoying I will never come here again. Was looking to spend some money on some lighting guess I'll go somewhere that wants my business. read more

Bob M. Chandler I recently purchased a fairly expensive Minka Aire ceiling fan. Cortney, in customer service, was very helpful and didn`t try to sell me any options that I didn`t need or want. We completed the order for the ceiling fan, all of this done over the phone, and she explained that it should arrive fairly quickly as the warehouse is in CA. It arrived a few days later, left outside of our front door, even though my wife and I were both home, and the off the shelf box was very beat up from rough handling. I had a broken ankle at the time and my wife had to slide the box into the house as it weighed 48 lbs. When I did open it to make sure everything was ok the cut glass for the lamp part of the fan was shattered, it was packed on the bottom of the box protected by only 1/2" of Styrofoam, the word Fragile was printed on the box in black block letters that were the same as all the other wording was. No bright orange fragile sticker. I called the Chandler store were I had ordered it from and talked to Brandon about how it was delivered and the broken glass in the box. As this fan has several cut glass pieces he asked me to inspect all the contents to make sure that nothing else was broken. All the other glass pieces were packed in bubble wrap and not broken. After confirming the make and model of fan and what needed to be replaced he put the order in for me and the new glass bowl arrived within a week. The replacement glass was doubled boxed with bubble wrap on all four sides of the smaller glass box. I have to say that there was never any question of maybe it broke when brought into my house and the service I received from the team members at Lamps Plus was professional, courteous and are the type of employees that every business should have. Good customer service is worth it`s weight in gold.!!!!!! read more

I was in this store again looking for ceiling fans and not one person acknowledge me asked me if they could help or even cared i was in the store! My husband and I have purchased many lighting fixtures over the past about 10 years from Lamps Plus. We have been extremely happy with the service as well as the product selection. We recently needed 3 chandeliers, all within line of sight, but different sizes. We have always worked with Bea and can't say enough about how helpful she has always been not only in her patience, since we didn't have any idea as to what we wanted, but also with the great selection ideas she came up with. We ended up with 3 different fixtures that while, different in design, worked out beautifully for our home. read more

Customer service needs an overhaul! Very poor in this area. Was offered help by a guy but was rushing through and I was getting the feeling that he was getting annoyed with my questions. He was rushing as there was another customer waiting at their counter, perhaps the other staff can help him!! I told him I will browse around so that he could attend to the guy waiting. When I decided on my purchase, I went back and another staff assisted me. Boy was he having a bad day!!! He went through my details for the purchase like a robot and printed out my order which was made online and will be shipped to my address. When it was printed out he didn't explain further just passed me the document and said all done and waked away!!!!!! Omg I was stunned and told my husband it's my worst experience in customer service!! I had to read the document to find out shipping arrangements and expected date of arrival etc. No mention of return policy and I had to ask. The staff needs to be motivated or something, felt like I was disturbing them. I won't go back to the shop most probably order online just to avoid the staff experience. read more

I bought a Mission Style table lamp at this store, took it back when the base started to come apart, they said it couldn't be fixed but the base could be replaced for $25. They then said the same lamp was on sale for $65 and I would be better off buying a new one. Instead I bought a bottle of Monster Glue for $6 and fixed the base. Not what I'd call good customer service. read more

Worst customer service. I've been to this location probably 10 times within the last year, and NOBODY greets me. Not once. I usually look around the entire store for about 30 minutes and not one person says one word to me. Employees walk right past me. Some have even made eye contact and still say nothing. Never experienced this in a store before. Nobody helps you. Go to a different location. read more
