Extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by the Lamps Plus Installation for back charging $135 for uninstalling a shorted out light fixture that was installed at a cost of $135 just weeks prior. Unable to install a replacement at the time, new fixture was reordered, and weeks later Lamp Plus Installers charged $270 to reinstall a new fixture. Total cost- $405, much more than the fixture! Lamps Plus should assist customers with return of defective light fixtures (no fault of customer) to ensure customers are not double charged by the company installers. Update- I'm satisfied to say Lamps Plus corporate office did respond and rectified my complaint. Always verify return policy and costs incurred for faulty or non-installable fixtures involving installation. read more

I ended up buying (scoring!) on a chandelier, light fixtures for my island, kitchen dining lighting, bathroom fixture, a pair of velvet swivel chairs, chairs for my dining table and then going online to buy more! I wish I could remember my sales associates name she was FANTASTIC super helpful and knowledgeable. I joined their rewards program and got bigger discounts. First let me say that the staff at the store are amazing. This review is for their corporate/online store. We ordered a set of sconces and a dozen bulbs. Since they didn't have them in store, they had to be ordered to Be delivered. Guess what...fed ex delivered to the wrong address and even admit it. Called Lamp Plus and after 3 calls and 20-30 minutes of waiting, told us to call credit card and dispute. That was the only option. No apologies, no reorder. They blamed fed ex and fed ex blamed them for not requiring signatures. Horrible customer service! Will not be shopping there again. Was trying to give a local store some love but... We purchased several ceiling fans three years ago and one of them started to act strange and make noise. I was concerned that I might have to purchase another expensive fan because it was out of warranty. We went into the Chatsworth store and spoke with Michelle about what was happening. She suggested that it might be the receiver for the remote causing the issues. She gave us a replacement at no charge and I went home and swapped it out.... It worked! I ordered a water fountain online from Lamps Plus. In one hour my husband told me it was too small. I called to cancel or change the order. I was told ABSOLUTELY now, that it was being processed. I chatted online and called customer service to no avail. I was determined to never use this company again and just cancel my credit card. I then called Robert, the Manager at the Chatsworth store. He was unreal!!! He took my information in a most pleasing and professional tone and voila! The order was canceled in minutes. Great customer service!! in the moment I walked in through the doors the moment I stepped out, I was so pleased with the interaction I had with Juan. I purchased 3 ceiling fans online but unfortunately they did not work out for me. So I decided to go in store to return the items. As soon as I walked in through the doors, Juan saw me with a heavy box in my arms and did not even hesitate to help me with the box. So kind! He quickly responded with, "let me take that heavy box off your hands" and even offered to help me with the 2 other boxes in my car. Juan made the return process so smoothly! I was not aware of the return policy but he was very compassionate. Instead of just giving me the number to corporate, sending me home to call and having me deal with it, Juan went ABOVE AND BEYOND by personally taking the steps so I wouldn't have to. Wow. I bought three outdoor wall lights spring 2018. Fall 2018 I noticed all three were terribly sun damaged. Chatsworth lamps plus will not return my money because it's been past 60 days. They offered me a small discount on three more expensive lights and pay for shipping. I've already paid for shipping, three very poor quality lights, and pay someone to install. Now I have nothing except garbage and will have to replace these and pay someone again to uninstall and install. The customer service is of the same quality as the lamps. Great stuff here. We purchased a few items during our construction and unfortunately wasn't able to use everything we purchased. It was after the 60 day return policy when we realized, and they accepted our unopened product and gave us a full refund on our original form of payment vs store credit. We are grateful. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the sales guy that helped us each time has a bad habit of following us around the store. We let him know several times we were just looking and we would inform him and find him when we were ready or had any questions... more so annoying than anything. But We do not like shopping with someone over our shoulder. All in all - great location, great items, priced fair. And again thank you to the management for allowing us to make that return. I don't know if there is an actual store at this address, but I am told it is the corporate headquarters and I wanted to write a review of the business itself.... I have been thoroughly impressed with Lamps Plus. I think their website is very user-friendly and they have a good selection with a wide range of pricing (lots of sales too). There really is something for everyone, and I've bought 2 ceiling lights and a ceiling fan recently. Their website also offers various online coupons for online purchases and in-store print outs. I got a pack of light bulbs, a keychain light, and a desk fan all for free (I think the fan was with a purchase but they others were no purchase necessary). I cannot speak highly enough about their customer service. You see, when I find something I want, I'm a bit obsessive about it. There was this large pendant light on their site that was clearance and being discontinued...i think it was marked down 60 freaking percent. And it was listed as only having 3 left. Well, being in a time crunch I decided to call up the customer service to make sure I could get it in time based on where it was being shipped. How lucky that Linda A. answered the line. She told me the location of the ones left and if I placed the order through her she could write in the notes to make sure it came from the closes place (LA). Then I had a mishap with my credit card (amex story I previously wrote) and had to figure it out. She kept the order on her desktop and when I had a difficult time getting ahold of her, she actually called ME back. Moral to the story is I got the light the day before I needed it and all was right with the world. But it didn't end there. About a week later I got an email from Linda with a thank you word doc thanking me for my business, saying it was nice speaking with me, and if I ever do business with them again to please call her directly (and she left the direct line to reach her). We are in the process of updating lighting fixtures in our house and have found the web has so much to offer. We purchased two lampshades for our bedroom lights from another company but decided they were far too dressy for our family room lamps. Lamps Plus had just the shades we wanted in the exact size that we needed. So we placed an order for two lampshades and were extremely pleased with them when they arrived the following week. Lamps Plus went one step farther than the previous company we ordered from by including new mounting brackets for the shades. The brackets made the shades fit the fixture perfectly. (We ordered new brackets for our bedroom lights when we saw the difference an extra inch in height can make.) (It reminds me so much of a lamp that my mother used by her reading chair.)
