I was recommended this place by an employee at Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH). I needed a chain & carabiner to provide additional stability & support to a chandelier. OSH didn't have it. But, this place did. This place is simply a wonderland of lights & comfy furniture. I didn't have the time to wander around, but I will the next time I come here. The employee who assisted me was quite nice. He found the right color & length of chain & carabiner. Simply perfect (I hope). I am a satisfied customer. Parking is a tad bit tiny. Worst service ever. Employees act like you are bothering them will never shop here again.

My 5 stars is purely based on this very kind women named Chandra Haddon who is a sales rep at this location. She helped me find everything I needed and more. I did not appreciate some of the other workers in the store much. One sales rep I met at the door prior to meeting Chandra greeted me and I asked him to search for chairs he showed me a few I did not like so I asked for more options. I noticed he went missing and that's when I met Chandra who was way in the back of the store who noticed me searching and assisted me. The other rep was juggling and after I selected a couch from Chandra he came back around and tried to steal her purchase I asked for the manager to let him know she actually assisted me on the item and I would like her to continue. I left with almost 1500$ worth of goods. Chandra is A+ in customer service and the store truly needs more workers like her. I don't want to complain but I noticed the other workers not very friendly to her. I asked how long she's been working at the store she said she was fairly new. I don't know if maybe it's because she's new to the location but other sales reps were trying to take items from her that I wanted to buy claiming they had customers who were purchasing but were not in the store and the items were on the floor not tagged as sold. I suggest that the other workers learn how to work as a team and support this great, kind, friendly and super professional women. I hope someone upped level grabs attention to what I am writing because customer service is key! If I used my verified platforms to complain I don't think the store would like the feedback. ok so there selection is pretty great... you are bound to find something you want whether its at the store or online. I made a couple purchases online that I was super excited about but then when I got the item it wasn't exactly what I expected. I was looking for pendant lights and they offer a wide selection of styles, however, the style I liked didn't come in gold, so I had to completely rethink my decor. We purchased two torcher floor lamps with two gooseneck lamps on each. The torcher lamp on each burn the bulbs out about once each month. I have never had such poor quality lamps. We are purchasing the bulbs they recommended, and got sick of running back and forth to Northridge to get new, expensive bulbs, so found the same bulb a lot cheaper, but we're still spending a fortune in bulbs. I never write reviews anymore because I assume good customer service is dead. But this Lamps Plus team really changed my mind, so much so that I'd felt obligated to take time out of my busy day to comment on their service and commend the manager for his teams great customer service. I noticed that someone greeted every new customer as they entered the door. They ask if I needed assistance but didn't try to hard sell me on something and allowed me to browse their inventory. As I walked past other Lamps Plus employees they all greeted me with a smile. Eventually I required assistance because I didn't see the lamp I was looking for and Michelle immediately came up and offered her assistance. She informed me that I could order the lamp that wasn't in stock on-line or she would be happy to ordered it for me and then she could be my contact if there we're any issues with the delivery or any issues with the lamp itself. Her customer service was excellent and furthermore, I noticed all of the other employees offered the same great customer service. Michelle informed me that the lamp I purchased has a warranty and I could simply call and they could help with and questions or any issues that I might have. It's refreshing to see this type of service and the Lamps Plus in Chatsworth just gained a new loyal customer. read more

I recently purchased a new home and was renovating it from top to bottom. Unfortunately I could not decide nor even know where to start with the light fixtures (not my area of expertise) luckily I was fortunate enough to find this store on yelp and saw all the great reviews. As soon as I walked I was warmly greeted by Yadira and she must have seen my deer in the headlights look as I saw the enormous selection of lighting fixtures they have. Luckily after asking me a few questions and showing her a couple of pictures of my new home she quickly zeroed in on the perfect fixtures that not only met the room specifications but transformed the room. I have had very good experiences with this store. The selection AND the customer service ARE GREAT. The prices too. Since I worked in Sherman oaks I was bringing my home lamps there for replacement of the bulb socket when the switch that turns it on just kept turning and not turning the lamp on or off. This other lamp shop, located on Van Nuys Blvd. on the west side of the street, just north of Ventura Blvd. STAY AWAY from there. They charged me $25 - $30 every time, about 4 times I went there like an idiot, when the only thing that needed replacing with the switch that screws onto the stem, the on/off switch. The socket did not need replacing, it makes me wonder whether the other place even replaced the socket. The manager at LAMPS PLUS diagnosed the problem, that it was the on/off switch tip that was stripped. The other place never told me that this was the problem- and he gave me a few switch tips for the lamps in my house. The sales people, in particular the manager, a middle aged Latina lady, and the guys in the back, are very nice, and super helpful. For these reasons Lamps Plus gets 5 stars. read more

After researching online for months for counter stools , we found through one of lamps plus mail flyers a very nice style of stools. I called our closest store in Northridge, and the associate who answered the phone was so friendly and helpful. I wanted to see if they had the stools in stock so I could come and look at them . Claudia was the helpful friendly associate . She put me on hold so she could go see if they did carry this particular stool . She returned online to tell me yes, she indeed carried one stool. I told her I'd be there in a few hours to look at it. When I arrived she immediately came to greet me and take me over to the stool. I decided to purchase four stools that day . Claudia told me they would be shipped to me and I'd have them in two days . However, in talking to Claudia, I found out they would need to be assembled when they arrived at my house . I wasn't sure I'd be able to assemble them, so she offered to have them shipped to their store & they'd assemble them for me! So 4 days later I came to the store to pick up my assembled stools ! I had the white glove treatment! Everyone was so nice and friendly. The stools were each bubbled wrapped and protected for my drive home . They put them in my car for me and were so helpful ! I never had such nice customer service as I have had shopping at this store! They have such nice merchandise, and very reasonably priced . They have a fantastic selection of ceiling fans if you're considering ever buying one! It's definitely a great store to decorate and furnish your home . Amazing service I wanted a fixture that had been discontinued one store had it but it was in Ventura county, the store couldn't ship it to chatsworth and I couldn't go to Ventura county I was going out of town I shared with paula the details of my crazy schedule and she picked it up for me and brought it to work the next day. Lamps Plus is a SHAM. If you see a lamp on line and want to see if it is in a store, 9 out of 10 times, if not 10 out of 10, it is not. You then have to put down a deposit and order the lamp. Of course if you do not like it, you are not charged for it; however, they have your money, are making interest on it and you are forced into a great inconvenience. I just want to give a shout out to Michel the manager at Lamps Plus who restored my faith in retail today...two years ago my husband and I purchased two floor lamps and two table lamps with identical burgundy shades. After our move, one had been damaged so I drove all the way from Fillmore to Chatsworth (more than an hour drive) to see if I could replace it. After a quick search on their shelves I didn't find the one I wanted. When I told the sales staff about the situation the sales people told me that I likely would not be in their database still but they went off to find the manager to see if he could help. Michel requested the number of the credit card we had used - which fortunately for us is still the same - and within a few short minutes had summoned up the EXACT item and turfed it to the floor staff to complete the order. If I stopped for more than 1/2 a second to look at something I was immediately bombarded by one of the group of 20 sales people that followed me around. When my handyman went to assemble it, he discovered a crack in one of the mirrored drawer fronts and no hardware to screw the legs onto the chest of drawers. I have been going to the lamps plus outlet for years. We have purchased all of our outdoor lighting, chandeliers and fans from this establishment. The Service is very impressive. All of the associates are knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They are well-versed in the products and warrantees for any price range. The general manager, Robert, is an outstanding asset to the company. He hunted down a special part for me and wouldn't stop until it was in my hand. Service like that is rare these days. 4 stars cuz I always find exactly what I need here at a great price. Customer service has always been great. I've never personally had a problem. I didn't deduct a star but we bought a package of 2 light bulbs for my lamp and BOTH WERE DEFECTIVE! After driving 30 minutes to my work to assemble my lamp, it doesn't work. Mind you, it was another 30 minutes to assemble the lamp. So we drive another 30 minutes back to lamps plus (are you keeping track? I'm at an hour and half deep at this point). They check our assembled lamp and realize that both new bulbs were defective. They were very nice and they said that has NEVER happened before, which I believe. How random. It was just VERY inconvenient to spend 1/2 my Sunday afternoon dealing with 2 bad bulbs when I could have gone to CVS next to my work and that would have solved the problem. But who knew?!?! And they were very nice and apologetic. I got a set of free bulbs out if it. $5, lol. Woulda rather had my Sunday afternoon back. But I still recommend this place. We bought a ceiling fan 19 years ago and the motor burned out a couple of weeks ago. The repairman they sent out to look at it told us the motor has a lifetime guarantee. We showed up on Friday mid-day to buy several light fixtures. Elizabeth Kennedy politely introduced herself and let us know she was available to help. She reminded me of a stylish and sexy Jane Fonda. And, she knows the store inside and out. We browsed and found some great items (including a fabulous chandelier). And, Elizabeth helped us find some gems and she helped us consider a few ideas we never thought about for wall sconces and wall fixtures. Super service and really friendly. And, we purchased quite a bit of items and she was able to give us some great deals, her staff delicately packaged all items safely, and they loaded them into our truck. I can imagine that - depending on what you're looking for - this may be hit or miss. However, the selection is diverse and there's a bunch of stuff on sale/clearance in the back room that's worth checking out. Things take time at this store - from browsing to checking out and such. I went in on a random Saturday looking for a mirror, first off, this store is beyond beautiful and well kept. Aside the wonderful store, an associate by the name of Vandana was sooooo sweet, upbeat, and has the best work ethics. She was professional and asked me all the right questions to find my perfect mirror. Every associate seemed busy and until Vandana approached me and was more than willing to help me. My husband and I decided after this second and last experience, we will never step foot in a Lamps Plus again!!! This is the SECOND TIME we have ordered a fixture, only to be told by the sales associate that it would arrive on a certain day! We actually waited until THE NEXT DAY to pick it up and it had not arrived! Based upon delivery, we had scheduled the electrican for installation. Therefore, we are now paying the cost (time, service call) for the electrician and he has NOTHING to install!! This is not the second time this has happened. I much rather go to a high-end lighting store, pay more and have reliable, dependable sales associates!! The ONLY reason I gave them one star is because of their selection. However, many lighting stores "On the boulevard" also have a wide selection of lighting fixtures! Once, okay... twice?? UNACCEPTABLE!! I recently purchased 2 lamps from this location. Upon arrival, the shades did not match at all. In fact, the shades were completely different in color and shade. After waiting week after week, Lamps Plus still could not order me two MATCHING lamp shades for this particular lamp. The customer service I received was TERRIBLE. I drove to that location as well as to the Glendale location about 5-6 times and they still could not resolve this issue for me. I would not recommend Lamps Plus to anyone on the basis of their customer service. (They were rude, unwilling to help, and didn't seem to care about this matter) Don't waste your time and your money on this store. read more

When you walk in this place you will be circled by vultures. The salesmen greedy for a sale which you can blame the company for since their employees must meet a quota. I happened to call ahead for something I saw online. The employee was foreign and had an accent. I could not pronounce his name. When I went to the store I didn't like the product but he tried to force me to buy it. I ignored him and asked where the other products were. I found another one and he was still trying to force the product I didn't want on me which was more expensive and too big. I bought the one I found on the sales floor which he told me was off white. After I got home I could clearly see it was not off white but pure white and the receipt even read 'white". I took it back and he tried to force me to keep it or buy a more expensive one. He told me it's not really white and you won't be able to find anything cheaper. Well I ignored him again and found a nicer, cheaper, tan shade. At this point he was done with me and I was done with him. The cashier however was very nice. It would have been a pleasant experience if she was the one I had to deal with. Her name was Rebecca.
